I know this video is old but as others have mentioned in the comments, this channel is extremely underrated! Your videos are 10/10! I really appreciate all the time you put into your content, super helpful for the DIY mechs like myself.
I have a 2017 C63 S coupe and have always been curious about what the assembled engine looks like out of the car. Thanks so much for this video. By the way what was wrong with the engine that it had to be removed? Did the turbo suck pieces of the ducting into the engine?
When you pointed the camera into the intake valves I could sees some carbon buildup and also oil residue in the air intake manifold. This reminds me of my old Ford eco boost engine getting oil vapors past the rings and getting sucked back into the intake. I has to install catch cans to keep oil from getting to the intake valves and turning to carbon buildup. I assume these forced induction engines likely have the same issue.
Nice video, i know it's old, but i've got a locked up M177 engine from a c63s with only 90k km on the clocks, always was followed and serviced by mercedes service center. Do you have any idea on what can cause engine locking up on those cars? I can't even rotate the crank pulley with a bar (does it need to be in neutral to try to rotate it?) I hope i dont have to replace the whole engine ;) thanks man keep up the good work
Curious how many hours it took you to remove the engine? I'm talking in total, as in the time it took to remove the entire front end of the car as well.
Hi,WaveCeptor, I am suffering rough idle on my 2015 c63s especially on a stop when gear in D or R. Do you suggest take the front half of the car apart to access throttlebody and intake manifold to clean them? Or do you have any other suggestion? Looks like its gonna be a lot of labors from this video XD..
You have two different cooling systems. One for the engine and the other one for the intercoolers. In the intercooler system you got 3 radiators, one in the middle and on each side an addional one like at 1:48.
Sorry i have to correct me. The radiator at 3:19 is not for the transmission but for the engine oil. So you have: Engine cooling system: One big radiator in the middle. The intercooling system: One big radiator in the middle and two small radiators left and right. For the air condition one radiator in the middle. For the engine oil the radiator at 3:19 and finally a small heat exchanger for the transmission oil also visible at 3:19.
Ne.
Lets see. Cats and turbos right under the hood next to plastics and electronics. Electric steering. Tiny suspects bushings. Servicability nil. Another car that will never be collectable or even desirable, and likely in the junkyard in 10 years. Where did it all go wrong? Great video though. Very well done. But makes me appreciate my ancient E55.

Thank you so much :)

Fascinating! I love this engine, great to finally see it in more detail/

It must be next to impossible to work on without taking the engine out....!!
Hi Andreas. please upload the entire video of repairing. thanks.
Hi. Sorry i didn't film the entire repairing. Sorry.
That’s ok sir. You’re the best mechanic In RUclips. Thanks for your videos.

The first "fat can" after turbo is catalis? Or they are down ? Near the gearbox ?
is that the ECU on the drivers side? why did they make it so hard to remove, it looks like I'll need a lift just to get it out?
Curious how many hours it took you to remove the engine? I'm talking in total, as in the time it took to remove the entire front end of the car as well.
Is there any way to change the serpentine belt without removing the intercoolers for the turbos?
How many miles had this engine?
How many miles had this engine? The oil filter is in the bottom now, do you have to open the dry sump when changing oil too or just the oil pan?

Great video ! On the M177 where would the best place be to get a boost signal from?
Where is the number identification engine?
All the wiring is on the top left part of the engine right?
what would cause this turbo problem? improper tune?
Can you please tell me what the intercooler at 1:48 is responsible for ? Thank you

@@WaveCeptor22 is the one in the middle the one visible at 3:19 ? Or that is the transmission intercooler ?
Yes thats for the transmission.
@@WaveCeptor22 and can you tell me how many intercoolers the engine cooling system has and where they are located ? Thank you

Any common issues with these cars
Hi waveceptor... was that turbo intake seal the cause of the turbo fail. The same type of issue seen on the v6 642 engine.
Hi Dan, yes, someone mounted the airfilterbox wrong, so the sealing was suckted by the turbo.
where can i buy those fender covers?
why have no new video about your A45?? i am really waiting for
All major works are done so far. So its pretty steady now.

Super Andreas 👍 👍
Well done 💪😁
So only the turbo are damage? And how long will take to repair?
I changed one turbo and one intercooler (because of the metal pieces). The repair last about 2 days.
ecu location 🤐
Teurer Fehler ...
Are those valves suffering from carbon build up? If so, what has to be done?
I dont think so.
That looks like a nightmare also crazy to yank young motor
have you timed this engine yet?
No.
Hi, any other damage besides the turbo ? That rubber boot was chewed up pretty good
Hi, no the rest of the engine is fine. I just changed the turbo and the intercooler.
😍
Can't even change the altenator in the mf 😅😅😅
What was the problem with the car ?
4:07 Can you see it? The tubocharger is damaged.
WaveCeptor Thx for the feedback, Nice car, job, and channel
Ist ein Motorschaden aus den Stücken geworden?
Habs fertig geguckt, aua.
Ne.
This is your amg?
No. I have an A45 AMG.

Yes 💪
hi I am from India
Hi :)

Finally a person that has the same feels.
I did not understand the meaning of this video
Its just a show it off
The engine have a problem ? Why taking it out ?
Someone mounted the airfilterbox wrong, so the rubber part was sucked and that damaged the turbo.
WaveCeptor that's not good
Why was the motor removed?
