- Inspiring music with funny dancing created by Disney's animators. More about this chapter of Fantasia 2000 movie at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantasia...
You may find other dancing flamingos on RUclips but this is the highest quality - I ripped it from the original DVD myself. Животные
This helps show how Eric Goldberg is a great animator. He animated this by HIMSELF!
Forward Sound
“What would happen if you gave a yo-yo to a flock of flamingos?”
Who wrote this?
By far one of the best segments in the sequel. Probably a close second to the Sorcerer's Apprentice.
In the original Fantasia over 1,000 people helped animate all 8 segments. That number went down a lot in the sequel. With one very talented man doing this segment all by himself.. Pure talent Goldberg.
As much as I love The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, I like this more.
Technically, sorcerer’s apprentice is just carried over from the original Fantasia. So whatever credit you give to that segment, it’s technically given to the original.
For years I literally tried to replicate the flamingo wielding about nine yo-yos when I was a kid. I bet you can imagine how that turned out
At least you tried
Why does this silly little animated clip give me so much pleasure and make me smile every time I watch? No idea. And that’s perfectly fine with me.
And that’s perfectly fine with me.
Haha same here!
Me too😭
silly birds, silly dance = silly good vibes
This segment is one of the many reasons why animator Eric Goldberg is my hero. He animated this entire segment BY HIMSELF.
Pure Win. 💙
Agreed.
Jackie McCann Disney animation before CGI began should of looked more like this. So fluid, liquefy and devoted.
Jackie McCann
He also did the Disney couch gag on The Simpsons
Eric Goldberg is my hero too he’s an idol that I look up to whenever I draw cartoony artwork
we need a whole series for this flamingo
Indeed
I don't think that adaptations of Fantasia works are allowed (considering the reception of the Fantasia video game on the SEGA Genesis).
Fun fact: This segment was originally going to star Madame Upanova and her ostriches from the first movie before it was changed to these flamingos
Incredible how the colors of the sky helps subliminary to tell the story. The orange sky represents the group of flamingos, and the green sky represents the one that is different from anothers. In the final shot, the green sky appeares with a shining sun, that represents the triumph of the different flamingo.
You're absolutely right
Personally, I see a flamingo playing yo-yo with a good music.
I didn’t go to school.
FABIO BRANDAO Nicely said.
Nice - the sky changes colour depending on who's in control at the time. :)
Great point, but you made one teeny tiny mistake. There is no "final shot", it's just one big 2-minutes shot that keeps moving.
idk why but the thwack sound of them hitting the branch is so satisfying
I remember my parents taking me to see Fantasia 2000 at a local theatre Near my house. I remember getting extra butter on my popcorn, which made it taste buttery. This was definitely my favorite part of the movie and gives me a huge ball of nostalgia. But overall it was not great, it was fantastic. After the movie, we all went to the Disney Store at the mall to get a flamingo plush. Still have it to this day.
Omg I can't stop watching this over and over
Now I fully understand why this part stood out to me the most. I relate to the flamingo in regards of my unique sense of abstract thinking. I've accomplished all sorts personal achievements because of it.😊
My elementary school music teacher would always play this and so many other fun videos for us man I miss those days
This is one of the best Things. This is The Animation Ever. I love this masterpiece of art and every goofy little frame that makes it shine. Thank you, Eric Goldberg.
Moral Lesson: Be yourself, A Flamingo can play with yoyos.
This is one segment that had no specific plot, but painted a series of definite pictures.
1:22 My mom says that's like our cats playing with a laser light! 😂
I love this flamengo
Me too
This is one of my favourite videos from Fantasia 2000
Although I thought it was a little bit longer than this.
They only used the finale. The full piece is 23 minutes long. The finale incorporates many themes from the previous movements to tie the whole piece together.
When i was a child it was my favorite part 😂❤❤
it's been 12 years! This is very cute!
My mom says that the music was adorable for this!! 😁🥰😂
I absolutely love this music
Beautiful entertaining animation
Eric Goldberg’s animation in this is so good🤍💖💙💖🤍💙
My daughter’s favourite animation🤷🏻♀️ (she is almost 2 years old)
We have to listen/see this 10 times a day (she would want more but I don’t allow😄)
Thank you for The animation its beautiful ❤
Such Memories
Lovely, nice, amazing!! In one word: magic!! ☺️
I wish I could imagine there's a flamingo playing with yo-yos at SeaWorld.
How dare people hate this short .It’s cute
C'est plein d'imagination.
Shout-out Mr hall for showing my grade 3 class fantasia.. 19 years old now.
I could watch that "dun dun dun" little bite for ever
Just copy and paste that moment back to back and I'm happy
When the couple of Flamingos there up to no good. 0:42
Notice how the sky turns green when the flamingo starts playing with the yoyo

The segment that got buried into my mind
a masterpiece
There’s hints of “Danse macabre” in this! ;)
I sometimes wonder why people doesn't consider Fantasia 2000 as part of Disney's Renaissance, I mean, it came out the same year as Tarzan.
for whatever reason, people seem to think of this one as being inferior to the original. also it has 2000 in its name.
I consider it part of renaissance. I think the post-renaissance begun with Dinosaurs
❤Ese flamingo es una descripción certera de mi personalidad❤ Amo la belleza de esté arte 💕
1:45 Where Doflamingo With his Devil fruit came from
I love those birds
This one of my favorites!!! Pure gold ❤️
The music sounds a lot like a song in the original How The Grinch Stole Christmas cartoon.
Cool idea
Bravo, bravissimo

The Yo-yo one is so cute
Is the tune that starts at 0:13 original to this movement, or did Saint-Saens borrow it from a pre-existing work (like how the "Tortoises" movement includes Offenbach's Can-Can)? I seem to remember this tune as the theme song to a program on PBS--maybe a British sitcom?--but I can't remember what. Where else might I have heard it, besides Fantasia 2000?
❤❤❤
Eric Goldberg is talented
Moral of the story?? Always date the nerd in high school!! He always wins!!

Name of the song?
It's right in the title of the video
it's been 10 years since i first saw this and i'm still amazed how this was all animated by ONE GUY!!!
I know
God bless Eric Goldberg
When Doug Walker brought this one up in his Fantasia 2000 review, I thought this segment was going to bomb, but out took me by surprise. I thought it was actually very charming, and I was especially impressed when I learned this segment was animated by a single man. It would seem this one has more going for it than one would think.
+ShaDHP23 I like to call this segment " the only time disney was beating warner brothers at cartoony slapstick and visuall story telling"
I think the criticism comes less from it being a 'bad' segment, and more it doesn't really fit the artistic direction the original Fantasia had. Yeah it had some cartoony stuff (eg. the hippo dance) but it kept this direction of elegance and choreographic pacing being put over slapstick and wackiness. Standalone, stuff like this and the Donald Duck segment are very enjoyable and charming, and the animation is just as commendable, just not really Fantasia.
I personally love it
@@ToonReel001 Is so.
I hate Doug with a passion. #ChangetheChannel
This is my absolute favorite Fantasia 2000 sequence! Although the Rhapsody in Blue and The Firebird are really good too.
This is also my favorite part, along with Pomp and Circunstance
I thought they all were great. It’s hard to pick my favorite. I think the film in general is pretty underrated in a sense.
I almost forgot of how the yoyo flamingo makes me think of a high school outcast, or some kids determined to enjoy themselves wihout being caught. It is to enjoyable to watch the expressions, and actions in this one.
What bullies! That one flamingo was totally doing his own thing not bothering nobody, but they HAD to make him join!
This segment reminded me of the For the Birds Pixar short which funnily was also released in 2000.
OMG AT THE END!!! Suddenly there was troll face! TROLOLOLOLOLOLOLO!
I find it funny that the animators thought of such a cute and funny plot for this piece, it's amazing to know that they all enjoy working at Disney and get a kick out of it
Vanna Winthers actually the whole scene was animated by one guy, Eric Goldberg ! Pretty talented eh ?
I love the pink flamingo 😂he has talent👏🏼
Probably the best segment of that movie.
Oooh I love this sequence since I was little. It's one of my favourites parts from Fantasia 2000 as Donald's Ark and Firebird suite. But this one is the funniest part of the film and it remind my childhood!!
Same! Fantasia 2000 is such a beautiful movie! Brings back so many memories of my childhood too!
Same
In all the movies I watched in my 19 years of living. This one is why I'm still alive. Fantasia 2000 is why I'm happy. This is the greatest fucking movie that Disney has ever made EVER!
Straight in the childhood. 😆
