The way the dinosaurs tried to steal food from each other is beyond the ghetto
Inspiration for The Land Before Time, Jurassic Park, and Dinosaur
"When Igor Stravinsky wrote his ballet, The Rite of Spring his purpose was, in his own words, to express primitive life, and so Walt Disney and his fellow artists have taken him at his word. Instead of presenting the ballet in its original form as a simple series of tribal dances, they have visualized it as a pageant as the story of the growth of life on Earth. It's a coldly accurate reproduction of what science thinks went on during the first few billion years of this planet's existence. So now imagine yourselves out in space billions and billions of years ago looking down on this lonely, tormented little planet spinning through an empty sea of nothingness".
«Coldly accurate» (depicts dinosaurs and other extinct animals from all time periods and regions as living in the same time and place)
And the most amusing part about it....Igor saw the actual segment, in an interview back in the 1940's and stated he hated it. TBH, idky he hated it b/c its quite accurate.
@@bluewolvesstudios2822 My guess is, Igor didn't like the way the Fantasia version didn't repeat itself in certain parts like his original version did, and omitting other crucial parts.
Well, that Stegosaurus certainly stood a better chance against the T-Rex than the Chosen One did against her own people. Dinosaurs are just animals following their natural instincts; the tribe was looking to murder a woman.
Yeah except in the rite of spring ballet it doesn’t Include prehistoric life bit of a let down if you ask me
It wasn't till seconds later than I realized that WWD stood for Walking With Dinosaurs.
Like the sounds added with the dinosaur roars. The music makes the ending even sadder when it was the Dinosaurs time
Love the old inaccuracies - the T Rex is closer to us in time than it is to the Stegosaurus.
That was always inaccurate.
I was about to write that it just might be an allosaurus, but then I realized that the dinosaur in this film experienced the extinction of the dinosaurs.
It’s crazy that we used to think dinosaurs were like this and now they are completely different portrayed but in reality they looked completely different then we think now
How do you know hm?Are you more expert than paleontologists that dedicated their lives and DO know more than random people on the subject?
They look stupid now
@@user-qd8yw2ts9iNo, they look beautiful. They look as awe-inspiring as ever
If you were wondering why T-Rex had 3 fingers and long arms in Fantasia, Disney himself wanted to make it scary, still, big and no crests like the real T-Rex.
Paleontologists now understand that Tyrannosaurus Rex had two fingers, and that’s how it had two fingers for the first time in media in Dinosaurs: Terrible Lizards after all!
Granted, that is actually a fairly minor departure from reality compared to T rex living at the same time as stegosaurus and dimetrodon...two animals that both lived further away from the rex than the rex does to the modern day.
Pretty sure tyrannosaur arms had never been discovered when this came out, so giving it 3 fingers was accurate to the science of the time.
@@yissibiiyte Oh no, the two-fingered arms were found with the very first T rex fossil ever discovered. The three-fingered hands in Fantasia was an artistic choice.
@@Flufux false. The first tyrannosaurus fossils did not preserve arms. The first tyrannosaurus forelimb was only found in 1989.
This was a very unique way to add sound to everything in this. I'm impressed. Never in my life would I ever imagine to edit a video like this with such realism. Dorsen, you're a real pro at work!
Thanks!
Reminds me how studios were big pros at Sci-Fi.
This is a masterpice 😊@@DorsenFilm
I would love it if we were able to get a Documentary entirely in this art style, there’s just some beauty in old dinosaur depictions
I very much believe that it's possible to create animation with the same impecable quality and alien, primordial quality, but using more updated animal designs. So far, the Dinosauria youtube series may be the closest thing we have.
Now this is a Disney documentary. I'll tell you right now it's the Disney verse's definition of the land before time
The write of,spring was the main inspiration for the land before time
@@canonbehenna612good on u bud I knew that by just thinking so
This is beautiful! So well done!
When it comes to the rite of spring serpent, I like to think I’m in heaven watching all this unfold.
This is such amazing how you put the Walking with Dinosaur and Jurassic Park sound effect in this 😉👍🏻💯🦕🦖
Strange to watch even the mighty Rex fall to hunger and thirst after his display with the Stegosaurus.
In the end, it was just an animal. And so are we.
16:05 This reminds me of the fight between Big Eatie (Tyrannosaurs Rex) vs Pierce (Kentrosaurus)
My favorite Disney movie.
11:06 I really love the Pteranodon design from Fantasia
Yeah, it's really the only design that still kind of holds up in some ways.
Except the part where they hang upside down like a bat.
@@DorsenFilmyea and the lack of fur like coat
This part was always my favorite part.
Congratulations dude. I usually find these kinds of edits to be quite moronic but this was very tasteful and well made. I particularly like the overture in space with the eerie sounds (it reminds me of a clip with radio recordings from other planets) and how there was no music at all during the early stages of earth. I think this must be the disney movie that has touched the most sensibilities amongst the public in the long run. It takes some balls and imagination to make people watch big cartoon lizards in order to portray the harder facts of existence.
INCREDIBLE!!!!! I've been watching this piece since I was a 10 years old kid (this and the Night in the Bald montain were my favourites) and I've never imaginated the incredible atmosphere that all those scenes could have in a realistic context. THANK YOU....and, if somebody makes you delete this video, please, make all as you can to re-upload it
This made the already disturbing extinction scene even more horrific and tragic. That somber music while the dinosaurs either helplessly struggle in mud pits, or painfully march themselves to death in a hopeless search for water is nothing short of haunting. Bravo, dude. Bravo.
NICE!! 👏😉🤟

Remember those Rite Of Spring Edits i made? Well i combined them! You can now enjoy both sound effects, and WWD music! (Note, music does not begin before 8:00 and ends right around 20:20)

I would've thought maybe put _Walking With Monsters_ music prior to the 8-minute mark, and put _Walking With Beasts_ music after the 20-minute mark?
@@strategicgamingwithaacorns2874 yeah, i tried. It didnt really work.
How about these:
8:00 :m.ruclips.net/video/oa7deK7ndCg/видео.html
and
20:20 :m.ruclips.net/video/Zo7C-cZ5Eik/видео.html&pp=ygUfMyBibGFjayBub2lzZXMgc29uaWMgYWR2ZW50dXJlcw%3D%3D
Wow that was the end of the rite of springs dinosaurs movie wow!!
This is is really good, I'm even more surprised it didn't need epic music to introduce the rex all other needed was tropical drumming sounds, it be cool if you did The Firebird
Unfortunately, i don’t think i’m gonna be able to do the firebird, like… ever. School years ending, and my time is short.
Music from the walk with dinosaurs and the fantasy filme.
This is fantastic!! Excellent job
This is prodigious 😁👍
That was a Great video and Don’t worry I won’t ask as long if it’s not a list.
Ok?
They may be outdated takes but these Dinosaur designs still have a place in my heart
Hang on, there's Jurassic Park sounds in this, too!
splendid
amazing
The stego’s who’s spikes didn’t even scratch that t-rex looking Dino lmao 🤦🏻♂️
Now you just need to put both the originals and sound version together.
Maybe
Of course Original version with sounds.
Faz anos que nao vejo esse desenho bons tempos hoje com 23 achei por acaso
This is beyond stunning how well mixed this was!!
The original is still scarier to me though. 😅don’t know why...
The complete lack of Sound effects in the original is unnerving, and so is the original score.
@@DorsenFilm That was the whole point. They even have the opening explain the difference between absolute music, which exists for it's on sake and program music which is meant to help tell a more or less definite story. The Rite of Spring falls into the program side because it was written for a ballet.
I was agreeing with you, not dissing the original.
Jeez.
@@DorsenFilm I wasn't disagreeing with you at all. :) But I know when others read, they might not understand the 'why' and an explanation for many is helpful.
Walking with Retrosaurs
Good thing it isn’t Walking with Slurpasaurs.
@@DorsenFilmslurpasaurs are animal abuse……pure and simple
Love it! Ooh, can you do the reverse with putting Stranvinsky over WWD?
15:20 Why couldn’t they get the Hands right? I almost mistaken it for a Giga.
From what I've heard Walt Disney thought adding a third finger would make it scarier. He thought the accurate two fingers looked ridiculous
👏🏽
I love dinosaurs. I grew up knowing about them when I was a child. My favorite inpertickler dinosaur is the T. rex. The name mean tirent lizard king.
I thought you would give Ceratosaurus its roars from Jurassic World: Evolution games.
But still, nice work!
I gave it the roars (or gurgles) from Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis.
Thought this was going to have the newly discovered actual sounds of dinosaurs.
Why?
New Subscriber here! Fantastic work! I myself did a redub of this sequence from Fantasia years ago with all new sound effects and no music. Sadly, I lost the files. So, I was delighted to find / see / hear YOUR version which I really enjoyed ( also as a Walking With Dinosaurs fan, too )!!! What program did you use to put this together /edit in the new audio tracks and sound effects/music? Keep up the great work! :)
Premiere Pro
@@DorsenFilm Thank you! Do you use that on Windows or Mac?
Mac

yeah.
Okay @dorsonfilm not a phrase just a question why is the screen mirrored?
Becaus copyright
I said this wasn’t a phrase
Hey I was wondering where did you get those water sound effects when a dinosaur is drinking or swimming
I just searched uo swimming and drinking noises. not very helpful, I know
@DorsenFilm no that's good enough thank you
Nella cassetta non c’erano verso e rumori, solo la musica ed era diversa.
This Cannot be 1940s...
Yes it is
Yeah Pearl Harbor wasn’t even bombed yet!
seems you kept the JPOG dinos sfx still
15:53
how did you get all these sounds?
Internet.
@@DorsenFilm nice
19:24 did the t-rex die from heat exhaustion or did it just fall FROM exhaustion
Both interpretations work.
Dehydration from drought.
Dimetrodon, Stegosaurus, Triceratops etc. at the same time!?
Don't ask me, I din't animate this.
As cool as todays CGI & AI are they will never replace the talents of all the artists that worked on Fantasia . After all these long years the film still holds it's merit & many of the scenes are as scary as they were then . This film will never lose it's appeal for young & old. I still recall little kids crying in the theater during The Night on Bald Mountain . Even with the brutal & crazy imagery of AI are not as scary as that last part of this film.
DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE COMPARE CGI WITH AI.
CGI has merits. AI does not. Get that comparison OUT OF YOUR HEAD. NOW!

Can you do for me The Sorcerer's Apprentice: resounded and rescored (both sound effects, and music from WWD)?
Yeah, no.
@@DorsenFilm why not?
@@gabrieldassi8591 it’d take too long, and i am not equally in love with all the Fantasia segments. Also, why Sorcerers apprentice with WWD-music?
@@DorsenFilm er... I meant with the original soundtrack, but with sound effects. It's to see how can you sync it up.
