Man this is insane. How can you not get PTSD once you fight through a war. Seeing all those dead bodies , not knowing if your body is going to blow up by walking through a field will drive most people insane.
Our sick and perverted society is enough to drive a person insane, so some escape to the battlefield.
Sadly get used to it, and it just becomes a "normal" day and a way of "life" 😢
It would disturb me initially but personally I would get used to this easily. I have this switch thing. In fact I fear I might thrive there. War sucks though.

it was oddly my first memory as a child. Darkness and smoke filled with dead trees and bodies. The terror of it all. Though the trenches were much worse than this, it was very similar.
USA worst war, we lost 600,000 or so dead and wounded. That was 1861-1864. The Russians are almost there. This was back when we still sawed off body parts and had very little medical technology. Russians are dying so fast that its more like a war in the 1800s. Reminds me of the charge of the light cavalry brigade?

From time to time, the EU and NATO promote a theater to continue deceiving the Ukrainians, with promises of full support as if it were a new position. However, until Ukraine takes over Crimea, it is of no value to NATO!

Trench warfare must be so nerve racking and insanely scary, the conditions are horrible, there are rats everywhere that eat the soldiers food, they are shelled and shot at daily, and than the downtime must be so boring for them, but Ukrainians have good morale and that’s all that matters everything else follows after that, my empathy goes out to anyone stuck in a fighting trench anywhere in the world, people have a romantic idea of war, they think how exciting, but they don’t account for the other factors of war that will haunt you for the rest of your life, and even the strongest of men were broken by there experiences. Thank you to nato members for serving, I especially have love for Germany and love watching there new modern documentaries of there ships, and weapons they are such nice people, allot seem very laid back, but same with many nato nations by the way I emailed the embassy to try to join in, and I’m so glad they never messaged me back, I cherish what I have in my life even if it’s not much, I don’t care about money, I care about my pets who are like my kids, and if I went there I would have never had these amazing experiences I have been having lately, getting to rescue four sparrows, studying things I never thought I would have, and also the quality of life is amazing because I am thankful for every meal I eat, shower I take, falling asleep at night and my bird crawling in my hoody and sleeping in there 😂 I know it sounds dumb
But I can tell you this as long as you cherish what you have in life your life will be so happy, the days you aren’t so grateful you will see the differences, and if you learn to be grateful even in the worst of circumstances you will be a king 👑 you will bring your castle everywhere you go

Whenever I see real surrenders, the soldiers are still in 'battle rattle'.
I recall vividly the basic training at Royal Marine boot camp and we did 4 nights & days ,Monday to Friday just doing trench warfare training we called them Slits,it was very realistic and with very little sleep..Train Hard in order to Fight Easy..

I don't know what the motivations were. Whether a general optimism that Ukraine could replicate the results from the Kharkiv offensive or whether the reason was to keep up support. In fairness, nothing what western media and government released comes close to the propaganda on the Russian side. Heck, if you believed them they destroyed more western tanks than Ukraine ever had.

@@duhbearz That was Russian Mortar, likely guided either by drone spotter, or a pre-sighted position because they knew where their team was hiding. Apparently really common for Russia to target their own positions in case of capture or surrender. They have standing orders to execute surrendering soldiers and imprison surrendering officers.
