Kudos for using a Danelectro! It’s a pity it wasn’t a black and white 59 though! I think you’re missing a trick tho’ with that opening riff. You have the B string melody as 2nd fret- 3rd fret- 2nd fret- 3rd fret and open. But I hear a little slide from last 3rd fret to the 2nd and *then* open.

Awesome lesson. Great teaching with no rush. Thanks for showing us! Also killer shirt with that art logo on the front. Where do you get something like that?

Dean Deleo of Stone Temple Pilots is obviously a serious student of J Page riffs and slide parts. Dean is such an amazing player. The slide solo in their 2010 song "Hickory Dichotomy" is very derivative of this tune, in a good way!

Nice observation Dean and Robert DeLeo are both massive Zep fans and it's def apparent in their music 👍
      STP is another great band.

loved your video. great detail. you are missing the pull off at the tail of main riff though. That's not per say "A complaint" I love what you did here. nice Danelectro sound. brilliant reproduction. great video. thank you. EDIT: you know maybe that pull off is only on the overdub track :-) I kind of feel like a jerk now pointing that out. my apology's.( * you know you make a video for people to learn from, the last thing you need is someone critiquing it.) thanks again for a great video.

I noticed that immediately also and no offense but it's kinda an important detail

    Where is the chorus?

Yeah there's a part missing? The 7 note ascending lick he plays in the song along with the pull off at the end of the main riff, easy enough to figure out I just wanted to see what open G was in all my years I've never used open G I guess it's basically drop D but the A becomes a G
