My Forklift had the same code. Also my forklift did not put in gear (forward nor reverse). By doing this steps it fixed both issue’s. Thank you so much!!
Thank you SO MUCH for this video. It saved me from calling a tech in to solve this. Also, I used the set screw idle adjustment to fine tune it. Thank you!
Do you ever had an Error e23 on Nissan or Mitsubishi? Throttle Position Sensor should be error e23 Forklift Works Fine but After 1 Hour of work it have no Power and the Engine doesnt respond well. Could you maybe just tell me where the Sensor is located. Its the Same Engine like in this Video
So I had the same code on a mission forklift replaced speed sensor and adapted it now I have code e-31 I tried to relearn the throttle and and a/f but I still get nothing I’m leaning towards bad throttle any help ?
My forklift runs fine the first minute or so then goes into like a limp mode to where it only revs 1/4 throttle and no higher. What could this be? Can’t find it anywhere on the web
Any loss of signal from a critical sensor would send the ECM into limp mode. More likely it would have a CEL on. You have to get the error code from the system to get direction on what to look at.
The unit starts right up but doesn’t idle well you have a video with a unit sound the exact same thing as mine you replaced the mass air flow sensor I did that with mine still nothing
I'm having a problem with no acceleration in forward or reverse only in neutral you have any idea what it would it's a Mitsubishi with a Nissan gas engine
You could get the codes through the display but you have to know the service password. Other than that you need the software and the cable to connect to the vehicle manager.
@@forkliftgeek10 understood. It says wrong password. I'm trying to get on in the maintenance field were I work and they want me to find out what's wrong with the yale forklift outside and I dont even thing they have the password. I'm in need of some training my test is in 3 days. Do you know alot about yales or any books I can buy from you?
Some trucks need a special adaptor to connect to the scanner. In any case you could do the testing done with a multimeter to confirm if your accelerator pedal is at fault. If the testing shows the pedal is fine, then you could use the pedal to show the blink codes.
@@forkliftgeek10 how do I go about doing the blink codes? First let me explain my problem so sometimes I get good throttle then sometimes I get nothing when I press the pedal I hear a slight change in the engine rpm but nothing major plus the lights on the dash keep flashing aswell, also if I cycle on and off the key I hear the throttle actuate, what do you think might be my problem?
It’s tier 2 early model not built in this series Mitsubishi and cat 2004-2005. Some 2006 Use the throttle pedal to count flashes or call a qualified service tech
The unit won't tilt back. Lift, sideshift, and tilt forward work, but not tilt back. If you rev the motor and hit tilt forward and then immediately hold tilt back, it'll tilt back for half a second but then stop. My service manager said it'd be the tilt forward and tilt back switches on the control valve, so i pulled the control valve and swapped them (one was damaged), but it didn't fix the issue. Any ideas? And thanks.
no. it barely tilts back when you move the lever forward then back. If you repeat that motion, it'll tilt all the way back. If you just pull the lever back, it doesn't tilt at all and the motor sounds as if the hydraulic was maxed out.

Exactly what I was looking for. Same lift, same code. Thanks a ton.

Thanks man. I have watched a lot of your videos and I learn so much. I think you should be an instructor at a tech school.
Thank you
Good instructional source!! Thanks Jay...
Buen video. Gracias. De casualidad tendrás el manual que pudieras compartir??
Reference voltage of .78-.80v at pedal release. Clear code and done.
Thanks you for the video its help me to fix the fork litf
thanks it helped me a lot. Do you happen to have the manual so you can share it? thank you
Where are you located? I’m close to Windsor. I would like to have you come by to diagnose a few forklifts.

Throttle Position Sensor should be error e23
Forklift Works Fine but After 1 Hour of work it have no Power and the Engine doesnt respond well.

Its the Same Engine like in this Video
Throttle position sensor is inside the the throttle body assembly(throttle plate).
@@forkliftgeek10 thank you. 100% Broken wires. Never had any manuals for those….
Hey man, what tool do you use to read codes? And how can i get the literature you have? I work for fedex and I am learning how to work on forklifts.
Any obd2 code reader would work on these trucks with the hitachi controller above 2007.
@@forkliftgeek10 thx man! where did you get the t/s literature?
It was company supplied.

Jss05 e31 is not a bad throttle

Question I’m in a bind have a cat 2c5000 won’t accelerate no codes starts up rough then dies I replaced regulator because it being bad
Check mass air flow sensor
@@forkliftgeek10 I did I replaced it with a good one off a new unit and nothing
Check vacuum reading when cranking and when its able to start.

Thats why I'm suggesting to test vacuum when cranking. Engine might not be able to breathe.
good vidéo
Where can I find the technical manuals like you have?
Mine is provided by my company. You could try purchasing it online or from the dealer.
What are you using on your phone to clear the codes 🤔 please?
Hardware: ELM327
software: torque lite ( download from google play store)
Will a transmission control modular cause the forklift to also not accelerate
It possibly could.
I'm having a problem with no acceleration in forward or reverse only in neutral you have any idea what it would it's a Mitsubishi with a Nissan gas engine
Are you saying that it would move slow forward and reverse but the engine does not rev up and would only rev up at idle?
Yes
Then, the truck is in limp mode. It would probably have a check engine light on. You must retrieve the code to point you towards the fault.
Do you know anything about yale forklifts or code readers
