Also, there's a dialogue i noticed in the same mission where smokr orders his gigantic order is that before they reach the clucking bell, ryder mentions the green sabre incident, and smoke immediately tried to change the subject
Very unfortunate how they had to make Ryder a traitor too. The man isn't like Micah Bell, it doesn't exactly fit in to say he was just putting his own survival first and didn't care to what happens to the gang he grew up with.
@soheibmechkour1683 I know this is the popular narrative about what happened with Ryder, but I’m pretty sure the devs came out and said that the voice actor leaving had nothing to do with it. Not for nothing, how hard is it realistically to find a new VA to replace him? If they wanted him to stay loyal to the Grove that bad, they could have made it happen.
He wasn't meant to be a traitor in the game, and you can notice that by some dialogues and events, it doesn't make any sense sometimes. Also, there's a lot of videos backing up this theorie
Yeah thats something never got when people bring up the order driveby.Ballas still would have shot him.He was working with the feds but imo tenpenny made him start working with the ballers later on as he still hated them.
Smoke did move into Ballas hood but it's only like 3 blocks down from CJ's house and it's right on an intersection of Grove st. I always thought it would make more sense if he lived further since CJ asked him about moving out of the hood.
Yeah Ballas Have also shot Ryder bcoz Ryder has a huge loyalty to The Grove Theyre arming up the groves and way more loyalty in the beginning but on behalf of that Ryder also betrayed Grove. I wish Ryder wont betray us.
Ryder was never even meant to betray CJ it's apparently an issue that happened between his VA and Rockstar so they decided to do that. Another detail is that Smoke drops the bat right on Beverly's frame once he leaves the house with CJ.
Smoke never gave a shit about anyone but himself Ryder was true homie but behind the scenes his voice actor had a fallout with Cockstar and left that's why they did him dirty same for Johnny Klebitz from TLAD.

first one seems kinda off because when he’s about to hit you with the bat he says you picked the wrong house fool! which means he thought someone was trying to break in
The two infamous theory is that Ryder was not supposed to betray the family because it is off scripted Big smoke was not trying to kill sweat he was just at cj's home It is made by the Investigator Gaming
I don’t know the full story, but all I know about Ryder was that he betrayed the grove because big smoke threatened him. The way big smoke talks when he doesn’t make sense, he pretty much told Ryder that if he doesn’t join smoke, he’ll be killed.
Keep in note big smoke was screaming CJ’s name many times during the shoot out with the Russian gangsters as big smoke was possibly trying to get them to come after CJ

The two number 9s were for CJ and Ryder. The six with extra dip was for Sweet. The rest was for Big Smoke, but the order for Smoke himself wasn't as big as the memes make it seem.
