La Stratos secondo me, sia esteticamente che di sound, è una delle auto più belle di sempre nei rally, e forse la migliore per quanti anni è stata competitiva. :-P
Als mich damals das Fieber der Legende Lancia Stratos packte,vor 16 Jahren wusste ich noch nicht wie groß die Infektion werden würde. Ich bin ihm so verfallen das ich mir einen kaufte für viel,viel Geld und machte mich an die liebevolle Restauration. Nach vier Jahren und etlichen Stangen Zigaretten und Kannen Kaffee ist er fertig. Ich möchte mich an dieser Stelle bei Lancia bedanken die mir oft mit viel Rat zur Seite standen. Und auch bei den anderen Besitzern eines so tollen Sportwagens.

Die Auspuffanlage ist natürlich offen. Also ne richtige Knallbüchse! Das entsprechende Fahrwerk und so weiter. Alles mit Originalteilen. Der TÜV Prüfer sah das Auto und brachte kein Wort heraus. Nach ein paar Minuten sagte er dann:"Fahren sie bitte auf die Grube."Er konnte nicht glauben was er da sah. Er bestand die Abnahme und ganz stolz ging ich zur Zulassungsstelle. Ich grüßte die Dame freundlich und schob den Schein hin. Sie guckte mich an und sagte:"Was ist das denn für ein Wagen? Hab ich noch nie gehört."Dann sah sie das Baujahr und staunte nicht schlecht. Und in der Stadt ist das natürlich ein Eyecatcher. Wenn ich Gas gebe röhrt er natürlich wie verrückt. Und alle gucken mir nach. Und die älteren Leute,vor allem Männer geben dann immer dieses typische Signal:"Gib mal Gas ich will es hören!" Jedes mal ein Adrenalinstoß.

Its said that you can hear a stratos from around 8km away. I like them both and its very hard to pick one. For the sound its probably the stratos allthought i like that supercharger sound from the 037, in looks its a tie but the 037 is faster so i woukd say that its barely possible for me to decide.

si ho visto quella di Bettega e altre 2 037, insieme a una S4 guidata da Marku Alen e varie delta ex ufficiali tra cui anche una "safari", su tutte insieme solo grandi nomi come Kankkunen, Auriol,Biasion, tutta roba Martini ex ufficiale, anche una Beta Montecarlo turbo da pista, una S4 e Stratos stradali,131 guidata da M. Alen,ero al settimo cielo :))) oltre a tanta altra roba, mi sembra che fanno parte della collezione storica Lancia, erano alla salita Cesana-Sestriere 2013
037 sounds like a motorcycle at idle! Sounds great at WOT though. I'd say the Stratos wins the sound war; I'm not sure, but I'd almost say that thing had a bigger cam than a factory engine. I'm not all that familiar with Lancias, but the idle sounded quite uneven.
Concordo sulla Stratos. ;DD La 037 di Bettega sei fortunato se l'hai vista, è praticamente nuova ed è quella che avrebbe dovuto guidare all'Acropoli. So che un collezionista ha fatto un'offerta mostruosa per quell'auto e in Lancia, fortuna c'è ancora qualcuno col cervello, l'hanno rifiutata. ;)
Se avete 43,000 euro e volete una Lancia Stratos nuova di zecca, la potete comprare. In Inghilterra due moderne factories producono, su licenza Lancia, il modello Stratos. Tutto uguale: telaio a traliccio, sospensioni, freni, carrozzeria. Se poi trovate anche un motore Ferrari 2.4 6 cilindri...
io la bandiera italiana ce l'avrei fatta più grande (e magari pure con un salame e filone di pane anche, che tanto con gli adesivi di oggi fanno tutto, pure i bo......) così è più facile da riconoscere quando la lasci in un grande parcheggio

Both Lancia Rally 037 seems to be "Street cars" with the not so nice looking angular backlight.
But dream cars anyway.

stratos sounds a lot better in my opinion. I guess he 037 sounds more like a typical rally car but I love the like chugga chugga of the stratos.
The Lancia 037 sounds nothing like a normal rally car, no anti-lag and a supercharger instead of a Turbo.
