If you’re looking for a large portable bluetooth speaker that’s super durable and super portable, and gets extremely loud, then any of Soundbok’s speakers are good options. gen4 sounds significantly louder at 75% compared gen3 at 75%
It might have to do with the tuning of the speaker at 75%, max volume or "stage mode" loudness is about the same but the gen4 is slighly louder because of boosted mids which doesn't sound great, maybe a update can fix the sound
stage mode sounds louder than other EQ modes, because it strongly boosts the mids

I play in a Duo, guitar and 2 vocals with backing tracks doing 60's music. With a small mixer would the Gen 4 be suitable for audiences of up to 200? I would be using a guitar preamp.
I would prefer a proper pa system and also a stereo setup for 200 people. If you need it to be portable and battery powered check out the Maui 5 go or Bose 1S Pro (don't know which one has more volume though)
If you actually want to make the most out these speakers always use you're own eq with both the gen3 and go i use my own eq and it has WAY more bass and especially WAY deeper bass then their bass + eq it also sounds a lot better aswell i almost never use their stock eq

Can you Tell the best eq for Soundboks 4
Myself along with many others have all said the same thing, you lose a lot of bass and volume when you custom EQ it vs the Bass+ mode, something is broken in the custom EQ, and it's been lile that for a long time
boosting the bass with an external EQ will only reach the limit faster.
You will reach a lower volume than the original EQ.
You can't get more bass at maximum volume and exceed physical limits.
How do you use your own eq over Bluetooth?
Can you make a comparation between SB 4 and AudioCase S10 ? I think it s the same on audio quality but cheeper
I have already tested, the Soundboks is better for volume and portability.
the S10 distorts the bass at 70% volume and yet doesn't sound that loud.
please do the beats studio pro vs the Sennheiser Anntimentums or whatever their called.

a very great video really liked the comparison (50% volume same as the jbl boombox 3 at 85%) but i have a question. if i see the soundboks 3 going on sale for 600 should i buy that instead? also anyone else can answer 😁
