I have heard bot the soundboks and the JBL 310 in person. In my opinion even though the soundboks may be louder the JBLs bass feature sounds much more fuller. Not to mention for the price of one soundboks you could get 2 jbl 310 and have the stereo feature. In my case I would still go with the JBL 310.
The Soundboks and the JBL / Sony serve completely different markets. The Soundboks are meant for professional event / DJ usage, while the JBL and SONY are meant for residential usage, such as house parties and karaoke night @ grandmas - not much else. Try and take them to a park or a beach - they will get WRECKED, cracked, wheels will bust, woofers will be destroyed. We use the Soundboks for corporate events, DJs, even weddings ceremonies / parties that take place on beaches. They are rugged enough to handle the rigors of event production life, and with the swapable batteries, we never have to worry about losing power. The Soundboks has professional features which are non-existent on the JBL and SONY, such as the XLR / TRS inputs. What's that you ask? Exactly. Pretty lights... we don't have pretty lights inside our speakers at a concert. We want pretty lights, we put a bunch of moving heads, lasers, and uplights around the thing. This is why the Soundboks has such a higher price tag. It's NOT meant for residential usage and it's NOT competing the pretty lights speaker boxes. Its trying to compete with the rugged speakers from QSC, EV, Turbosound, and yes JBL Pro, which are in the $800+ range, but they are not battery operated. Take a look a the JBL PRX 912 to understand the PRO LEVEL version of JBLs speaker line. You'll notice the absent pretty lights and "echo" for your voice for Karaoke. So from that viewpoint, the Soundboks are priced fairly @ $900. We own 12 of them in our inventory, and they are constantly rented almost daily in the summer. They come back with sand all over, mud, smelling like beer, all kinds of funkiness, and guess what... we just wash them down, dry them up, test them, and ready for the customer to abuse them.
Hey ! Love your videos !! You should test the audiocase S10 . I just received this battery speaker today . It will blow your mind with the deep bass an audiophile quality .
You could get 2 partybox 310s for less than the cost of 1 soundboks so it would be more reasonable to test 2 pb 310s against 1 soundboks. In that case the pb 310s would monster the soundboks overall, and not just in bass, because 1 pb310 already has more bass than 1 soundboks.
You'll unfortunately always have a delay unless your utilizing an app compatible with liked branded products. Such as UE speakers with app. Also I have a partybox1000 and love it, only downside is you cannot tweak the treble. For sure an outdoor speaker.
Absolutely not. The Soundboks is all about the battery. Compare a not battery powered speaker against it is not really useful because nobody that doesnt need the battery life buys a Soundboks. If you only use the speaker at home then you would get way better sound at a lower price than the Soundboks…
@heth91 So like the DiamondBox XL3 then..That has a battery, sounds incredibly better but also a heftier price tag..The point is your comparing things out of each others leagues and prices
In my living room plays two JBL PARTYBOX 310s and four JBL PARTYBOX 110 and they all are daisy chained the sound is amazing when i play music at 75 prozent all my Neighbours runs out they thinks that was Earthquake 😅
The jbl has a warmer sound that's it, for those who want louder music, more durability longer battery life (and even swappable battery), and better connectability the soundboks is still the better choice.
I’m selling my 310 and have a sb4 arriving tomorrow. The partybox sounds good, but it looks childish, is oddly shaped when transporting and scratches if you look at it.
@@a1ansxemy buddy has had two 310’s on stands since they released and takes them to glamis and a ton of other places and parties. They have always sounded great and plenty loud for any situation. The soundboks just always seems flat but louder no doubt. But the 320 is coming out soon too, and for this comparison the $1000 price tag seems steep to me for a flat sounding speaker
The sb4 is anything but flat and I’ve enjoyed every minute of owning it. At the end of the day this and the jbl are byt speakers using sbc codecs, sound quality isn’t what they excel at. Let’s all agree on that.
I got my partybox 310 for 380 on sale at best buy. The jbl has alot better bass and is plenty loud for me. At that price i could go pay 500 for another partybox amd have tws and much better sound then 1 soundboks. And still save hundreds.
Very hard to choose. Seem like SB3/4 have the JBL 310 beaten on basically everything except lights (if it matters at all?) and the deep base. Perhaps the best sollution for home use is to have separate sub base to it. (Unless of budget restrictions before that cut off ofc..) Because realistically you want that kicking base as well as the deep base and just EQ it to your own liking. Instead of having to compremise. I can´t seem to make a decision myself while looking at the 310, 710 and SB3.
Put them in water? They'll probably explode. Any product would. Ip4x is water resistant. That means splashes and light rain. Ip4x doesn't mean full submersion, which is what you're saying
I had a pair of the 310's, also the 710's, ended up keeping the Soundbok's. Better overall sound and worked much better for RV sets at the festivals I went to.
JBL has inner wooden enclosure to improve Sound Quality and you can hear it. Soundboks on the other hand is built more for durability rather than sound quality (And you can hear it too).

I’ve been thinking about trading my 2 boombox 3’s for a soundboks 3, how do you like the bass on the soundboks? does it have good bass?

Hey, when is the partybox ultimate coming? Thank you on your amazing videos!
Mid October
After hearing the Soundboks 4 in person, I want to use it for a pirate radio style setup during music festivals
For the price of a soundboks you could get a 2.1 sound system and still have change, plus it would look more visually appealing.
wow the SoundBoks is on a whole level on its own
😂 sure
MosDef
but twice the price
For all the reasons he highlights in the video
@@AdryanCosmin sure but the soundboks gets about 20x louders. look up the max spl out of both of these speakers. Db measurements aren't linear.
Take a shot when you hear "However"
Can you pair a soundboks speaker with a jbl partybox 1000 with no delay? I have a soundboks and was thinking to buy a used partybox 1000

This is nice and all but when is the PartyBox ultimate review coming!?
Dang relax dawg lol
This is a unfair comparison due to price, it would be better to compare the Soundboks to a JBL PB 710
Very true or even a 1000
Seems fair for the size. Though it still beats the 710

I'd go with the soundboks, thanks for the insight
Why.... 🤯
@@miowpro I do dj things if I get a chance so... The cables, swappable battery and water proofing are major

Can you leave it plugged in all the time?! Gen 3or4 and which should I buy?? Are they going out of business??

Xv 800 or pb 310?? Which one I buy?
amazing video
That wasn't fair, let da Soundboks pick on da 710 and see how that goes
do soundboks gen 3 vs gen 4
You can connect 5 SOUNDBOKS Speakers together wirelessly , NOT ONE as stated.

1000$ is just too much for any speaker. The extra "loudness" ain't worth it. Plus JBL sound better overall.
