A Riff For An Out Of Body Experience

- A very fun and maybe a little challenging, riff to play in FACGCE. I originally started writing this as an exercise for a student, but I really enjoyed the sound of it and kept working on it until it became a little two bar idea. Once you get it down, it's very addictive to play!
In terms of the exercise for the student - the riff is meant to demonstrate an example of how you can use chord shapes and fingerings as the basis for melodic ideas in math rock and midwest emo. The melody and chords are very intertwined in this line.

Laying on the hood of a 2004 Honda Civic after I graduated university, wishing I could keep playing rock music instead of wearing business casual. Perfect
As someone who's about to finish school and go to university, this hits hard
If you love something then do that instead.
There's more competition in the corporate rat race and it's a lot less certain then the current middle-class would have you believe it is.
Music is a real career, you deserve to do what you love every day.@@umadafbruv4589
Sounds like trippy but yet beautiful anime sequence of events happening. Like one moment a person is in front of you in some field, and then you turn your right and there you are in someone’s kitchen. Like your being caught up away and visiting different places and you don’t know the time, the place, the context.
That’s what it reminds me of.
If that makes any sense. 😅
❤Tabs tabs tabs please ❤
Awesome love your guitar tone and playing! How did you get the tone?
telecaster + facgce tuning + extended chords = profit
Single coil + reverb
And ofc use neck pickup
Master
