Cats in the City: Saint Petersburg's Silent Sentinels

- Welcome to Saint Petersburg, where cats have quietly woven themselves into the city's tapestry as beloved guardians and companions. From the majestic halls of the Hermitage Museum to the cozy corners of neighborhood streets, these feline residents play a unique role in the city's culture and history.
Facts about the Siege of Leningrad (I said them wrong):
The siege began on 8 September 1941, when the Wehrmacht severed the last road to the city. Although Soviet forces managed to open a narrow land corridor to the city on 18 January 1943, the Red Army did not lift the siege until 27 January 1944, 872 days (125 weeks) after it began.

@@RussianwithLilian Hope you do more videos about cats, since we all love them! I noticed there were paintings of cats in the gallery. Are there stoiies behind the paintings?
There are stories! They all are created by AI 🐾😸 I plan to do more stories about history. Thank you, again, for watching!

Wish I could have a cat. My health isn't well enough to take care of one. I texted you something.
Yes, cats require care. I am sorry you can’t have a cat 😞
I have watched THE THREE SISTERS, can sound out the title in Russian! I wonder if you can tell me the difference in the (IDK Russian keyboard, yikes!!) in the scha and shch sounds and the i/i kratika sounds in a way my ears can catch it? I guess y and the i-o would be pronounced the same? Thank you! I found Felix Davadov and like the old music he posts; esp. SPRING IS NOT FOR ME. Otava Yo tells you how to treat cats in A CAT HAS FOUR LEGS, lol! Thank you!
