When you were looking at the planetarium, that little white dome you zoomed in on was the cover for one of their telescopes. That telescope was originally used to help find landing spots on the moon during the Apollo program. Inside the planetarium, which was built by a lot of the engineers and scientists from the Apollo program, including von Braun, the dome of the planetarium was a recycled part of a unused fuel tank from a rocket. Great video, and happy travels.
Born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, Thank you for your video.
How often do you all get the big black funnel of death?
"These are not the droids I was looking for"...and "it's amazing what you learn when you actually read"...Priceless..
As always thanks for take us with you. 👍👍👍
Cheers
Cause I am free...in my RV...love your music...thanks for doing the driving for me...to places I would never see...
jane martin I really love the music as well. I was able to download on iTunes.
Chet and I were proud to have you visit Huntsville. Thanks for hanging out with us for pizza. It was a pleasure interviewing you for my blog. Safe travels!
I was great to meet you. See you on the road!
Wish we could have heard more about your book.
Thank you so much. I live just 50 miles north of Huntsville. I need to go to the space center and make a video also. Have a wonderful week.
Another great video! Robert, as much as I’ve enjoyed watching your travels and learning about the places you visit since I discovered your channel, it’s your skill in videography and editing that really blows me away! Seeing what you do with the images you create has inspired me to learn more and practice more, and hopefully make my own channel better. I hope my own videos will be at least close to the quality of yours someday. Thank you so much for setting such a great example!
Live 'n' Learn RV Yes! Robert is a great storyteller! I'll be sure to check out your channel, too.
Roberts music is so good too! Whats ur channel?

Welcome to my city!!! We love it in Huntsville
Hi Robert. The scenery is gorgeous. Love the mountains. Thank you for the thorough tour of the Space Center in Huntsville. It's very educational. Incidentally, when you do some cooking in Minitini I like how you play the "cooking music". Nice touch.
Thank you! Yes, I decided to make that my "cooking music"
I lived in the Huntsville and Madison 1979-1985. In-laws lived there until 2014. Nice area.
8:53 is so funny. "Dont call me a chicken" I thought the same thing. I probably wouldn't stay there either since everyone left. This is better than watching TV.
i really like your viedos, keep up the work!
Hi Robert...Love, love, love your videos! Especially Arizona and the Western USA...enjoy the music also. I find myself humming your theme song alot! Lol...
Scottsboro is my hometown. Cool to see that the first place you slept in Alabama was our Walmart parking lot. Such a familiar sight.
Fascinating!! I hope to visit the Rocket Center, later this year!!
So cool. Have to share this one with my son. Loves all the space and rocket stuff. ❤
Love the Mountain views! Stayed at Vogel state park last Thanksgiving ourselves! Great video!
Beautiful nature in this part of the country! Really liked it, thank you very much for these views! And, of course, a museum is very interesting! I even started to wish to visit it someday.
Loved seeing all the rockets. Makes me miss watching all the Space Shuttles launch! Looked kinda chilly there. Thanks Robert another great video.
Awesome video Robert. We are going down there in spring brake
Thanks for taking us on your journey, Robert... beautiful..
Great video of the rocket center.I never got to go there when I was living in Alabama.Thank you!Hope to see your next video soon.
Amazing documentary of Space Center! Great views and narration! Good beers and pizza!
Thank you Robert for all the work you done to make and share this video!
My uncle worked on the space shuttle at Arnold Air Force Base it's probably about 80 miles from Huntsville in Tullahoma Tennessee and Manchester he worked on various other aircraft for our military he was hand electrical engineer of the wind tunnel there's some stuff he worked on he still can't talk about he is retired now
Robert, awesome drone video of the Ocoee River. One of my favorite places.
Also, love the Jim Beam hoodie.
I'm enjoying your video with some
Jim Beam.
Cheers!
I loved this video, Alabama is definitely on my bucket list especially the space museum, again thank you !
Thank you!
Thank you very much for this interesting video, esp. the visit to the rocket center. Memories of my childhood came back when we youngsters dreamed of traveling to outer space. But as you show, traveling our planet is worth it, too! Greetings from Germany.
Wow!!!....you made me feel as though i really took a trip there...thank u!!
Amazing, thanks for this. The space center in Huntsville is on my bucket list.
hoy vamos para esta area. SALUDOS mi hermano.
Love the fact you took time to see the space center,a fab subject of mine...
My sister and family live in Huntsville and her hubby used to work for NASA-He worked on the Hubble Telescope. You were within 4 minutes of their home when you camped at Monte Sano. I have been back there many times, but haven't been able to get back there lately. We haven't been to the Space and Rocket Center for at least 10+ years. A lot has been added.
Hello my friend! We are here staying at the RV Park at the Space Center for the next week, We really enjoyed our time so far. Still hadn’t made it to Vogel though but it’s on my to do list!
Very pretty drive. A little out of season but nice hiking places. Gotta get some winter gear my friend. That pizza looked so good. Nice meetup. I can't wait for next video. Love that you appreciate the Shoal style.
Thanks for this trip back to my hometown. I live on the other side of the country now; it was nice to revisit it virtually with you! Very entertaining video. Safe travels!
Another awesome video Sunday morning with a traveling Robert video and a cup of coffee is a great way to start the day
Awww, man! My husband and I live near Huntsville (I was born and raised there)! We would've loved to have met you in person. I'm glad you had a good time here. It's prettier in the spring, though. We discovered your channel a couple of years ago when we visited Chattanooga on our anniversary. We got such a kick out of that video! My husband bought your music CD. :)
Glad you moved to Walmart. That swampy place made me nervous too! The Space Museum was phenomenal .....SO much to see and do! You captured so much. Another great video! 🚀 🌙
It’s a beautiful city and the surrounding area has quite the sites as well!
Howdy Robert, many thanks for sharing yet another superb video here which I watched with great pleasure and rapt attention as usual when emanating from the "Morales Factory"(lol). You sure made my Sunday pal.Best wishes and cordial greetings from William in Bruges,Belgium,Europe
Gooooood morning Robert. Thank you for the new video. We hope that you are feeling better. We pray that you have safe travels. Fly pelican, fly! 🌴
Thank you... I am back to 95%
I loved this video. I’m so glad you spent so much time at the rocket center. My father was an electrical engineer and worked on the plans for the electrical systems for the ground stations for the Mercury Project way back in the 1950’s. By the way, there are many kinds of gloves for using the phone. Just google touchscreen gloves or texting gloves.
Hi, Robert 👍🏻👍🏻 Awesome 👍🏻 I have never been to the Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville Alabama thank you for taking us along on the VIP tour so cool 😎 I was so surprised that their were not a lot of people doing the tour. The drive through the mountains was amazing beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing, enjoy and have a Great week !!! Danny
Yes!! I see that many leaves 🍁 I live in Northern Connecticut. There is nothing but 🌳 trees. Many Maple trees that are hooked up to pipes and hoses in February to collect sap for Maple syrup
Very interesting. Thank you Senor Robert.
Thanks for the videos. They help me relax.
We camped there this summer. The Space Campers were shooting of small rockets most days. The surrounding trees were littered with there space junk. Very cool. Well worth the trip.
We too love the mountains!
Great video. To answer your question, some window A/C's also have heaters.
I see. Hadn't thought of that.
Larry Co It might be a heat pump. AC in reverse.
Thank you for this wonderful video Robert. We were at the Space Center in September and there were a lot more people there. Can’t believe how dead it was on your visit. You filmed so many things that we didn’t see because you need a lot of hours and we got there late. Thanks for showing us what we missed! We also stayed at Monte Sano and liked it! We were happy when you discovered the cool overlook. Wish you had seen the cool Japanese garden. There was a trail right next to the check in building.
I wanted to thank you for the videos. I stumbled across your video on amazon fire stick and this rocket city video is my kids favorite. Thanks for the great videos.
Thank you so much. I'm glad you liked it
love this clip iam a big fan of the southern states
It was fun to see you coming up 64 and into Cleveland TN. Know it well our daughter family live there for 10 years. and Went thought to Alabama many time. Enjoy the ride.
Thank you!
Great tour, thanks, Robert.
I was driving home from work at Edwards Air Force Base, and to my utter suprise, saw the Shuttle Atlantis on her maiden journey from the assembly plant to Edwards (35 miles by truck). They removed her wheels, and bolted her to the back of an enormous truck. I pulled well off the road and watched her pass within two feet of me. I touched one of her wings. An amazing moment for me. I doubt they would let random passers-by get so close to a space craft these days. I, and everyone else who happened upon this were lucky. At an earlier time, I also saw the Enterprise piggy-backing on a 747.
That must have been quite a sight
Thanks for the awesome video! We have not made it to the Rocket Museum yet. It is on our list. I was unaware of those breweries and the pizza place, which are now on the list. We absolutely love Monte Sano. We took my Mom to that scenic overlook, which was one of the last places she saw before she passed. She loved the view and knew all about the flowers in the park. You may want to camp at Lake Guntersville State Park, which is about an hour from Monte Sano south on Rt. 431. There are deer everywhere in the campground at Lake Guntersville State Park. You may want to get a "packable down" jacket per my wife that will fold up into a small bag. There is also Noccalula Falls State Park in Gadsden, AL.
You were just 2 miles from our home when you camped @ Monte Sano State Park. Great video!
Thanks Robert that was a great video as usual!
I live here in Huntsville and yes it really doesn't get busy till summer when there are many extra exhibits and space camp. I'm glad that there are still people that come to Huntsville though!!! The city is progressing towards being the biggest in Alabama with much more things to look at, go to, and experience! Come back soon!
Lovely city. I will be back
Great stuff dude. Stay curious and keep traveling
Hey Robert, you're not the only one that loves mountains, Living in the Northwest for 15 years I was always in the mountains, now living in Texas the closest mountains are in Oklahoma, but they're tiny compared to the over 10,000 ft peaks I was used to, now moving back to Florida the closest ones will be Georgia.
Another great video, so good to watch it. Safe trip, take care.
Thank you!
Beautiful, that ending hilarious.
I’m from Cleveland TN, was surprised when we had a call out! Lol. I have had the Space Center on my to do list for a while. I’m planning on staying at their Campsites... great value. I have a growing list of campground reviews in this East TN area. The one I did on Chilhowee is one of my favs... it’s at the top of the mountain right near where you were on Lake Ocoee
Very impressed that you correctly pronounced Werner Von Braun's name! Most people think it is pronounced brawn not brown! It's pronounced like the color, not the paper towel brand!
Great video, Robert. You were very close to our home in Ocoee, Tennessee. Beautiful country. We love it here, but like you we travel in our RV as well. Safe travels!
Thank you. Can't wait to visit again
Huntsville is a nice place. You have all the conveniences of being in a major city while it still has that small town feel.
Thanks Robert especially enjoyed the space station. I am headed out now to explore. If you ever go to Kansas City you got to see the Arabia steamboat Museum.
New to your channel, just today! Saw you on Sheldon's travels. Look forward to checking out ALL your videos. Thanks, Sandy from Wisconsin
Thank you! I will be featuring Sheldon's on tomorrow video
Went there in Oct 2018 - lovely place! I think we camped in the same spot 😁
Loved this! Alabama is naked on our map. :) Dexter and I need to fill it in.
Yellowhammer Brewery is a Harvest Host! Stayed there last fall and it was a fantastic place to overnight!
Very good trip it was
Robert. Look up SR-71, it had a long career for the Air Force. Love your videos, we live vicariously through your travels.
Better yet - Visit the Air & Space Museum in Tucson, AZ and you can see and touch a real one.
Love your videos Robert .
Hope to find my toy hauler in spring.
Thanks!
Loved this video!
Helen GA here I lived in blairsville young harris and hiwassee i was born an raised over the line in hayesville nc about 2 miles from Bell mountain
Great fun 👍👏👏
Wow! Another nice trip and video Robert. Just an FYI next time if you make it to Seattle,WA there is a Museum of Flight just South of town...they have many things there including a shuttle you can walk thru, and a SR71 Blackbird you can sit inside. Funny at the end of video you make pancakes, I NEVER knew syrup supposed to be in refrigerator??? :-) I travel alot too and we visit many same places, keep up the great trips and videos.
Hi Robert, you need to get some Weather tech mud flaps. The front of
my camper was always getting covered with dirt and they reduced it quite a lot!
Terry's Pizza is the best in Huntsville,by far!
Great video!Nice place to visite.
Robert the next time you are in Rocket City I would love to take you down to Montgomery, Alabama the Home of the Civil Rights Movement. I'm born and raised in Montgomery, but living in Madison. You have shown me things I haven't seen since I've been back living in Alabama. Glad you enjoyed the Rocket City!!!
thanks. love seeing places i've been and places i need to visit. i recommend 2 pairs of gloves; 1, a light pair that you can work the phone and 2, a heavy pair when it's too freaking cold but you still want to be out in nature.
I recently got me some winter gear. Thanks!
Don't feel bad about how many people were at the rocket center. It is Alabama's most visited tourist attraction, drawing over 657 thousand people last year, according to its website. You just caught it on a rare, slow day. :-)
Had no idea they have mock up of the ISS, on my bucket list now.
LOVED THE CONTENT.
That's my town! Thanks Robert!
Nice town
Good report! It seems you have been apart of the space industry in the past. We need to explore all states.
Hey Robert, if you look for it you can find waffle and pancake mix where you just have to add water, it has everything else in it. I find it is so much quicker.
"Why do you like mountains?"
Mountains will take you up, if you want to go up!
.....they also have valleys & rivers, and I love that!
* Snug fitting gloves for using keyboard will not provide much warmth. The "baggier" clothes items are, including gloves, the warmer they tend to be. Mittens are for max warmth!!!
Love the mountains and the desert
Excellent presentation.
Thank you!
Awesome video!
Robert, you should keep a Uniqlo Ultra Light Down Jacket, or something like it, in Minitini for times like these. AND your hiking boots because you always seem to forget them lol.
btw Robert you have good taste in coffee because I love making my own espresso or cappuccino with that same little Bialetti ..mmmm...
That 'Amish' chair is a Muskoka chair and a Adirondack chair too..lol..
waaaaaay beautiful
Great video again. Love watching your video’s. Love watching your beautifull country. You are wondering about the many leaves on the ground. In our Dutch climate in Europe it is quite normal in fall to have it like this. Greatings from The Netherlands.
I don't think I had ever been north of Florida this specific time of the year... or maybe I hadn't noticed before
Love this video! You are so funny!
In your way back from Quartzite, you should go and visit the Cathedral Caves. It is 30 minutes more or less from the Space Center.
Cool, made a note. Thank you!
Love your videos. ❤️❤️
