Really enjoyed the tour of the USS Alabama. I actually toured that ship years ago when I was a kid. My dad and his brother were on the USS Oklahoma on December 7th, 1941 and both were lucky to survive. The Oklahoma and the Arizona were the only two battleships destroyed that day.

I re-enlisted in the navy onboard the USS Alabama in 1980. The ceremony took place under the forward gun turret and was attended by my commanding officer who performed the ceremony as well as a visiting admiral. My entire division was present too. The ship I was stationed on was in dry dock at the back then ADDSCO.... Alabama dry dock and ship building company.

Very nice Robert! I've driven by and flown over the battleship museum area, but I have never stopped. Great footage. If you ever are in the Norfolk, VA area you'd enjoy the Nauticus Museum where the star of the show is the Battleship Wisconsin. It is set up very similar to the Alabama with the creepy mannequins etc. Gotta love Bucc-ee's! Great episode as I'm trying to get caught up from my hiatus.

The battleship is one of my favorite things to do in the area !! They have reenactments every two months. You should try for that one time. Very cool. Just don't try the food at the lunch counter in the park there.. no bueno... but my friend.. what a WONDERFUL video this time!! Very accurate depiction of the area of the world that has my heart !! You should come back and we will check o uh t the reenactment and then tour the florabama again!! All on me my friend.. be safe and have fun !! Kelly.

I love your videos. Over the years your production has become very good. It would be an honor to meet you. Since I’ve been working from home, my wife and I have not been able to travel like you; but, doing so in an RV would be very interesting. I may see what renting one would be like for maybe a weekend.

I was stunned to stumble across that on Amazon Prime last night! Had no idea that you had made it to Amazon! Couldn't resist adding a 5-star review, and telling everyone on Amazon that you're on RUclips as well---and to check out your other videos!!

Hey Robert, you should try the Shrimp Po-Boy at Wahoo's at Whale Harbor in the keys. As you often say, "Yum,Yum".

Battleship Park is cool ! We didn't have time to tour the Sub when we were there. Thanks for the tour. That makes our 3rd Sub tour now. One in Chicago and one in Wisconsin. Some Subs built during WW II were made in Wisconsin on Lake Michigan. (Manitowoc)
The Sub in Chicago is the U-505, a German Sub captured at sea during the war.

@@TravelingRobert We are planning to go back to Manitowoc WI. and take the ferry across Lake Michigan later this summer, to Ludington MI. a 4 hour cruise. I think it will be fun. So just sit right back and hear a tale...…..

Great video once again TR! Also love the backing music tracks (besides the theme song). Can I ask if you happen to produce it yourself? Especially the bass lines, they are marvellous!
