Robert you really made a well documented tour of Alabama.
We were just in Montgomery at Thanksgiving time. We got to visit the Hank Williams Sr. museum and his grave, the movie set of "Big Fish", and we visited the Zoo there. Lots to do and see in Montgomery.

In the last video I saw you had heavy frost or ice on your windshield. Remember to park facing east and the early morning sun will do most of the work for you. Nice videos of Alabama. I love your dry sense of humor!

I visit Montgomery Maxwell AFB a lot enroute from Tampa to destinations beyond (Colorado, Utah, SD, WY). It's a favorite family camp of mine and very convenient. Selma is a must stop.
Things are still laid back & it seems people of Alabama still move at their nice slow pace.
Your luck is like mine! Last week I had not one but three flat tires in six days. Enjoyed the video !
Sorry about your misfortune! Last year heading to Fl. from MI. I was towing a tandem axle boat trailer and boat with all 4 brand new rims and tires with my motorhome and hit some pot holes on the Interstate in Alabama and ruined 4 tires in 10 minutes! But it all turned out okay! God was watching over us! God bless you safe travels.

hey robert. after manny years of pulling my pop up with my honda civic. camping took a back seat when the kids got involved with sports . from middle school all the way to college. sold the pop up saved up for a rv . finally took it out to marco island weather was horrible but we had a great time . keep those videos comming .

I visited Selma and Montgomery a couple of years ago. I walked across the Edmund Pettis bridge. Like you, I did not do the tour of the state capitol in Montgomery, due to time constraints. HOWEVER, I will be in Montgomery again in about three months, and will make sue to do the tour this time. Another superb video!!

If you are planning to head for the state of Washington, please get a decent winter coat and warm clothes before heading this way. I'm sure you'll want to take a scenic route through the Cascade Range and it can get cold up there any month of the year. I enjoy your videos, by the way--just think you need to invest in a proper coat, hat, gloves, etc.

I tried to get Firestone to change my engine oil once using oil I supplied myself, and they wouldn't change it.
I don't think I will be giving them my business any time soon

I carry multiple spares mounted and ready to go just because of this. I had a tire blow once and it collapsed so fast that it caused the tire behind to bubble. I had one spare but unfortunately I needed two! It happened in the evening so I spent the night at a rest stop.....and did I say it was Christmas eve...According to the tire guy, this happens all the time on RV trailers and he recommended I have two spares. With my new trailer it came with a spare so now I carry three but that seems like over kill (I carry the two in the bed of my truck). Anyway, enjoyed the video as always...thank you!
Get good tires and higher ply rating, no issues
@@randylee2549 No issues unless you run over a screw or nail and the tire deflates quickly....I had good (brand new) tires when that happened...not China Bombs. I still carry two spares.....

Wow those tires must have a weak sidewall. I can't count how many times I've hit a curb with a horse trailer, also I'm ready for warmer weather, these 30's are no fun, ready for 80's and 90's.
Most likley your hourse trailer has a higher sidewall ply count then robert's does.

Robert, do you still get the odd tire wear issue on Minitini now that it’s hitched to the Colorado? Did that go away or does it still exist?
Still do. One of this days I'll find a shop that wants to fix it

Just to ask, in regards to the Winnebago 1706FB, do you really live comfortably on this floor plan? Don't you feel like claustrophobic since it is small and considering the fact that you and your wife sleep on together on this trailer 24/7? Would you go on getting a bigger trailer? Main reason I'm asking is, we may get this similar trailer or the micro Minnie 2306bhs. Thanks
A couple of inches here and there would make a great difference, particularly if we could have a walk around bed and second sitting area.

@@TravelingRobert Some people are having good results with LT tires instead of ST. Seems to be pro's and cons but most seem happy with the LT and they generally have better speed ratings (ST is usually a 65 MPH Rating). Maybe you can find and LT in your size of a name brand tire.

.. man Selma is a sad looking town but I guess segregation was never pretty. It saddens me that I don't see anybody walking the streets of Montgomery.

Hello, Robert. Your videos are always super. In addition to time of day, perhaps you could mention the day of the week while you are travelling, especially when you visit small/big towns? It could give a better context for the ambience that you find. I was getting a Saturday/Sunday afternoon vibe from your Montgomery visit. I agree with other comments: Very laid back!
