Love your vids Robert. Sometimes I forget just how great is the scenic beauty of our vast country. I like how you visit the smaller towns also. There's a real sense of Americana in them.
I'm looking forward to my first trip to Muscle Shoals, but did the Natchez Trace Trail last spring. Beautiful ride with interesting landscape changes and some great free campsites! No hookups but paved and level and nice restroom facilities. I wound up camping an extra day just because it was so quiet and pleasant! Thanks for taking us along on these great trips!
I just noticed you did visit Montgomery, Alabama I love your videos. This is one of the things I want to do once I get closer to retiring. Stay safe!!!
Gooooood morning Robert. We enjoyed your video and Friday's chat too. Have safe travels out West my friend. You are always in our prayers. Fly pelican, fly! 🌴
Oh so close we traveled close by but missed each other again. I left the snow in NY & PA and was in Tupelo, MS the week before you passed thru Muscle Shoals. Of course I took the Natchez Trace Pkwy and stopped by to see all the tours for Elvis Childhood Hometown. I ate at his favorite Jonnies restaurant, visited Tupelo Hardware Store where he bought his 1st guitar, and etc...
Hi Robert,.many thanks for sharing another superb video here springing straight from the Morales Works.Sure made my Sunday as usual pal.Best wishes and cordial greetings from William in Bruges,Belgium,Europe
I liked that you visited Muscle Shoals, and were able to see at least one of the studios. It’s nice to connect some of the references in the movie to what you show here. Incredible music history, and such a worthy stop to feature. As a teen our choir raised money to be able to spend a day in a recording studio and make a tape. I love having memories pop up when I watch these, as well as having some time to shuffle through the simple beginnings of your road to success. This was a fun episode.🤍
Please do a Natchez Trace from Natchez to Nashville Trip. Late April/Early May will be the best time...you need to experience the dogwoods. Also, a Blues Trail trip. When this virus mess is cleared up, you need to check out King Biscuit Blues Festival and visit Ground Zero in Clarksdale, Mississippi to experience amazing Delta Blues!
I lived in Florence for a few years on a whim. I worked overnight and had to run the heater in my car for my 30 minute drive home. It's brutally hot or brutally cold. I do miss that area, though.
I had to laugh at your comment about being from Miami and being infatuated with the ice. I moved from Fort Lauderdale 10 years ago and it took me a couple of years to get over it and become used to ice, snow and cold temps in the winter. My first stop out of Florida was to Cleveland area and I got a big dose of snow and cold. Here in NC it is not nearly and crazy and we get the 4 seasons but winter is not a brutal as NE Ohio! Today I woke up and it was 19, but that is an anomaly here around Charlotte. It was in the upper 50's a couple of days ago...go figure! Love the videos as always!
You always find interesting places to visit. I had no idea that Alabama was knwn for its recording studios ... very cool. Pretty laid back part of the country. Can't wait to see your visit to Selma. Thanks Robert.
So cool that you went to the Muscle Shoals studio! When the documentary was on Netflix I watched it a few times and really enjoyed it. I’m rewatching some of your videos because your of your mad camera skills. In my opinion your the best on RUclips in the RVing category.
Robert. You should call your drone, "The Pelican." You can nickname it "Peli-Belly" (I keep Peli-belly in Mini-teeni") haha. When you launch Peli-belli, you can shout, "Fly, Pelican!!" :-)
Robert we woke up and the trucks would not start,it was minus -41 that was cold the dogs ran did there business and ran back in lol ,,,oh and the school bus was canceled,,yes I’m in Canada
Love your video!! Thanks for sharing again. How bad was the damage on your bumper on your truck? I had a cringe on my face. 😣 I hope it’s not badly noticeable.
Hi, Robert 👍🏻👍🏻 I enjoyed watching your travel adventure to Muscle Shoals Alabama 👍🏻 it’s 12:35am and it’s 29 degrees with a wind chill of 19 supposed to be like 23 by 7am probably gonna feel like 13 in the morning. I hope you got to see the blood moon 🌝 could see the eclipse good here in Georgia !!! Thanks for sharing, enjoy and have a Great week !!! Danny
nice video but then all your videos are so inspirational that they want me to get up and follow your path. what make and model drone do you use it takes great videos
Robert, I grew up in Pensacola and really enjoy your videos of Alabama and Florida. I love in Colorado now and have to admit I laugh a little when you talk about the cold! Thank you for the great videos!
It was fun for me when you turned left across double line in the middle of the road and a sidewalk (ruclips.net/video/1_DtUDqLvyA/видео.html) because for us in Russia you could receive two expencive tickets for this :) Actually, for "crossing double line" your driver's license could even be revoked for next 6 months.
You have incredibly great taste in music to have watched the Muscle Shoals documentary. Your next mission if you chose is to explore The Mississippi Blues Trail. June 1st 2019, is the BB King home coming, in Indianola MS hope to see you there.
@@TravelingRobert Also add Clarksdale MS as one of the stops. Morgan Freeman is co-owner of a club in the town and nearby are old school "Juke-Joints," with dirt floors. :-)
Robert, noticed whenever you do the hikes, you hardly bring water etc. Best to have a pack bag with some essential on you iin case you end up being lost.
1840 they used steel making rail road bridge?YES ``Starting in the 1840s, early railroad builders began to use a variety of wrought iron truss forms that were introduced and patented by their designers as the best and most economical way to safely carry the “iron horse” across gaps in the terrain.``
At what low temperature while camping, parked, do you start to be concerned with trailer pipes freezing? The time of below 32*F temps can be short or a long periods of time. When towing pipes could also freez? I live in Florida and do not leave state when temps are predicted to drop below 32*F. I was in Pensacola, FL last December and temps got to 29*F but only for a couple of hours. I did not experience any problems. Had the RV heater on and opened the cabinet doors to both sinks. I think this helped.
In my case all the pipes are inside, so I have been able to survive an overnight freeze with no issues. I do disconnect city water, and have the furnace on all the time while the temps are below freezing just in case.
Another great video!! I visited the area twice (13' and 16'), and it is a beautiful area. WC Handy, the "Father of the Blues", was born in Florence, and Hellen Keller was born Tuscumbia. I have also done the entire Natchez Trace Parkway, and I recognized portions of the parkway in this video, especially the bridge. Looking forward to the next video. Been to both Selma and Montgomery too!! Greetings from the state of Washington!!
Robert...did you add some underwear to the tree? 😉 ...Natchez Trace Parkway has always been on my "To Do" list...soon...and yes, we've noticed 😜..."Live to Learn"...
So how is the colorado doing pulling your trailer? really enjoying your videos, only a few more years to retirement for me and chasing the warm weather, leaves or fish up and down the coast.
Would like to send you a Mountain Life sticker for the back of your camper? Where should I send it? (you can DM in Twitter and Facebook is that’s more secure). Great videos - have watched all of them.
Awesome. Will send out tomorrow. Also, I’m the person that spends lots of time in towns along the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC - offer stands if you have any questions let me know.
Great adventure and great views in Alabama! Thank you for sharing with us Robert!
Amother great one Robert ...thanks for doing the driving for me...
Your videos are very relaxing. 😃

The best part of the Natchez Parkway is the last 10 miles into Nashville. Restaurant at end of Trace in Nashville is the bomb!
Have been binging on your videos every night. Hope I can travel like this someday.
We live here in N. Alabama. Glad you could visit.
This is a great video! A real tease of the Natchez Trace Parkway and a great look at the Muscle Shoals area!
I just noticed you did visit Montgomery, Alabama I love your videos. This is one of the things I want to do once I get closer to retiring. Stay safe!!!
Thanks very much Robert, siempre relaxing sus videos !!!!!!.
Gooooood morning Robert. We enjoyed your video and Friday's chat too. Have safe travels out West my friend. You are always in our prayers. Fly pelican, fly! 🌴
You have to check out the documentary. It is awesome!
Very nice day my friend.. you are getting close to me here in Memphis.. come see Beale st and the big river if you can !!! Kelly....
Robert's been here before. He stayed at a KOA in West Memphis, that I didn't know existed! I do hope he will come back here!
Aw ok.. I didn't know that.. I work about 4 miles from that koa.. it's in marion really...

I really didn't think it would be that cold at that time that far south
Glad you got to fly the drone!
Born and raised in Muscle shoals, AL. in fact that coffee shop you went to “turbo coffee” is owned by the shireys. Friends of mine 😊
Turbo coffee is the Best the Shirleys pay the cost to be the boss while all others pay the buster fee!!!

I can't believe it gets that cold there. In Jersey, we're used to that in January.
I was in Memphis in November once, and I woke up with frost on my rental vehicle. Had to run the heater for a few minutes.
Nice one Robert. Love your Intro song
Happy Marci Gras, indeed. Very enjoyable video. We need to buy you a winder coat 🧥

Good video. It was very cold. Congrats.....
Hello from florence Alabama
nice video but then all your videos are so inspirational that they want me to get up and follow your path. what make and model drone do you use it takes great videos
Am loving your videos. Have driven the entire Trace twice now. It is a nice, peaceful drive, with some great stops.

Great Video Robert. Haven't camped when it's that cold yet lol.
Robert can think about this trip fondly when he's back in Miami in summer.
You know it! :), I just missed Robert by a couple of hours when I was at Lost Dutchman SP in Arizona last week!@@faithrada
SO close :-)

I visited the BB King Museum and his grave, a couple of years ago. I saw the clouds in the sky reflect off of his gravestone!!
One of these days, I want to do the Natchez Trace Parkway from start to finish, need a more fuel efficient vehicle first though.
I have done all 444 miles (in segments) and it is well worth it. I might bike the whole parkway, someday.
@@Hefmier I will get around to it one day. Right now have to save for a big move
Haaahaa oh gawd that was funny... the "underwear tree"! Lovin those stones though.
We are watching video now & will be heading home to Jacksonville in the morning wondering if u guys are still in Florida
Actually, real time we are in Arizona
Sorry Robert that was for Nate
Robert, noticed whenever you do the hikes, you hardly bring water etc. Best to have a pack bag with some essential on you iin case you end up being lost.
I usually bring a bottle on longer hikes...and I do have a pack that I always forget. Thank you.

Wordplay without realizing it? Telling, after you visited the railroad bridge at a temp of 26 degrees, that it was pretty cool. ;-)

Speaking of Minnesota, have you ever visited us? Don’t come in winter, it will make you think your 20+ degrees is balmy. Summer is pleasant.
No, haven't been there yet. This coming summer most likely
* idea ...tie your hiking shoes to your camera! :)
I think I'll be first person who watch this clip today thanks Robert Traveling
Just wondering do you travel alone, if so must get lonely.
Sometimes. Not my preferred way to travel but for now it's gotta be that way.
Lol making your own entrance
your going to give your truck low self-esteem every time you call it a car;)
Oh....
It’s a truck Robert. 😊 when my wife calls my Colorado a car, I say it’s a truck. 😉
RObert, I just emailed you on your web site. Please take a peek.
Jimmy Buffett records a lot of music there
The great MacAnally has a house on the river bluff with a recording studio inside. Jimmy recorded Beach House on the Moon there.
Hippidhop you are bouncing around again. I think you maybe a little confused.
