Most likely what affected Coco's forehand was the depth of Donna's ball and maybe a bad bounce because the ball hit the baseline. Coco saw that the ball was in, she tried to play on and missed the forehand. The call didn't affect her at all.

Serena Williams opened the doors for excuse makers, complainers and whiners. Unfortunately, Coco picked this up and starting to play victim like Serena. I don't know how she can argue that call. Even if the out call was made after she made contact, it is not enough time to register in her head to change her swing. The brain does take time processing, it is not instant. I hope someone in her camp lets her know she is WRONG! and learn to play on. This probably cost her the match, and that's unfortunate for USA.

Blame is on her and yes, she was absolutely frustrated she was losing and this situation was a good enough reason for her to act out like a baby. Stop comparing her to Serena because she's nowhere near as talented or brave. Serena will find a way to get over crappy situations and will find a way to beat her opponent. Yeah, now I get it! 😂 Damn! So, yeah, all of her defending arguments with the umpire were wrong since the call never came before her shot. It was all in her mind. And the Eurosport commentator had good memory, saying that she was already wrong before. Which doesn't mean anything... but yeah, this makes it take #2.
But... 🤔 but... yeah there's no "buts" here!!! 🤦‍♂️
Even since the call came almost at the time of the shot (which that could be a major issue)... but in fact it never influenced the shot because it really came after the shot.
Yeah yeah yeah... it was all in her mind. Mind really plays tricks on ya. It's like those Court cases of impactful events, where one is really sure about having seen, for example, smoke coming from the Twin Towers... when the wind was blowing the other way. The out call might have been at or just after contact; but was before she finished her follow through swing which would effect her shot in some cases. This video is not evidence. The sound of the Out call when live on the court might have travelled to her hears faster than the video depicts. Even so, its millisecond but you can see in the video that she is still following through on her swing after the out call. If you play tennis then you know what I mean and understand in tennis it is not just about contact but how you follow through and brush up on the ball and keep the ball on your racquet as you follow through. With that said Vekic was the better player.
