I say this on every video that Pasquale is the best Italian chef on you tube & I thumbs up the video before I watch & never had to change that vote, I use cod loin( like the filet mignon of the cod) instead of filets, plus when fresh it will not break apart while or after frying, & it costs about $ 1,00 U.S. per pound more but worth it, I am Irish & cod is our staple fish. We eat with Irish potato wedges or fried potatoes & mashed fresh/frozen cooked peas, delicious, This is perfection Pasquale, God Bless everyone

I’ll use vegetable stock instead of chicken for Friday abstinence. Looks fantastic! Just bought fresh cod yesterday.

@@Revelwoodie Yes, really chicken, fish or veggie stock will work in this recipe. I used the vegetable when I made it and my family asked me to make it a standard Friday meal. They loved it!! I love Pasquale and the beautiful simplicity of his recipes!

I’m making tonight after mass. Going to use vegetable stock instead of chicken. I don’t have capers so I will chop green Italian olives.
I LOVE picotta! What's awesome is you can use same recipe with fish, chicken, or veal. I also add fresh garlic, and mushrooms . 😋❤

I just made this tonight. I bought some beautiful cod as my son was coming to visit me from Texas. He travels a lot and he eats at nice restaurants, so I never know what to cook that he might enjoy, besides family favorites. This dish was an ABSOLUTE HIT! He had never tried Fish Piccata before and he really enjoyed it. I served it with jasmine rice , roasted asparagus/broccoli and a side dish of sautéed buttered mushrooms. For a drink, I mixed Crystal Lite Black tea peach flavor with “Mixology-Peach Sour) it was all very delicious. I went light on the lemon, as your son had recommended. Thank you for the recipe, it’s a keeper. ♥️

Fish piccata is one of my best recipes, and I've made it many times. But I'm always looking to other cooks to see how I can improve. I was horrified by the first few videos promoted here on YT at how very, very wrong they were. One putting the garlic on the fish before making the sauce, the other using "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter." For the love of all holy things! Then, I found this. Thank you! I immediately subscribed to find more advice from you on cooking. And the way you describe everything makes perfect sense. Much love.
