My Italian mother use to make this, many years ago she called it Baccala I think it is a Calabrian dish, this is where she was from. It is such an easy recipe, your video is so good

Made this for lunch on Tuesday and it turned out perfect. We only made two (2) pieces of cod but made the entire sauce recipe. With the leftover Puttanesca sauce we will make the Eggs alla Puttanesca Recipe. Thanks and cin cin!

I have to eat soft food for another month (post-dental surgery). I’m going to alter this recipe slightly to accommodate that.
I’ll use puréed canned San Marzano tomatoes with some jarred tapenade for the sauce, and add/simmer cod as per the recipe.

Wow! I just bought 2lb fillets of cod and forgot the olives and Anchovies.. So tomorrow, looks like i'll give the attempt again to make this dish for my parents.. Can this be made with baccala after its been soaked for a few days?
here frozen cod is quite cheap so I bought 2 cardboxes of cod, used some tomatoes from the local market, olives (no anshoa, we hate it) , and made a perfect dinner, affordable. Thanks from my husband.
I wrote it in our weekly meal list and just have a new dish in.
Next time I will serve it with polenta.
