Awesome video brother! I shoot from the sky and yes Marshall's Beach is one of my favorite locations to catch the ships coming through the Golden Gate Bridge. New sub brother! Keep up the great content...
normally with storms, the sky gets crazy awesome after it goes off eheh Looking forward for tomorrow's ep :D the last viewpoint was great :) the anchors make it interesting
Word. I’ve realized that having (barely) started video, I’ve been tempted to head to spots I already know to increase the chances of a good shot. Probably okay for the first few videos, but something to keep an eye on. Nice video as usual mate!
Sorry to hear about the plane sky weather; when I was there towards the end of last week Karl the fog sure gave us a real good show... I will look forward to watching your next video in hopes that you have better luck tomorrow!
Those hills are something else. One cab actually went airborne on the way to Fisherman's Wharf! And my son (who lived there at the time) got quite impatient with my slogging up them.
There is a good vantage point just at the end of Baker Beach. Where the rocks seem to cut you off from Marshall's Beach. During low tide (not sure how far the water reaches during high tide), you can climb over those rocks and get a nice view. :) Great video!
Awesome shots I must say! The water kinda looks like eerie fog to me somehow. BTW I recently found your channel(2-3 weeks ago) and I've been loving your content! Since I've been meddling around with web design and Photoshop/Illustrator I was wondering if you could let me try and make an outro background for your videos? Just trying to give back to the community.
When you have a longer exposure and you're doing a self portrait (you had one at 10 seconds)... are you just standing really still for those 10 seconds? Or blending more than one exposure? Just wondering how you keep yourself sharp without motion blur. Thx!
I d say the wet feet payed of... nice shot. Only the Gold Gate B was a bit small in the shot. Almost to powerful an anchor. (I may have tried to cut/frame out the very first big rock in the frame). But well, cant bend the laws of physics or optics... ;)
Beautiful portrait with the 50mm, contrast with Jodi's jacket very nice. Check these out they roll up in your pack NRS Boundary Socks with HydroCuff on Amazon.
San Fransisco looks awesome! Do you use Airbnb much? Any thoughts on Airbnb vs "traditional alternatives" like price and availability in different countries?
+1 for AirBnB in SF. I'm a local, hotels here are expensive and mostly in the tourist-heavy parts of the city. But SF has so much more to offer and you can get really great deals while staying in Japan Town or one of the other neighborhoods with real character. Also, all the best food is not near the tourist traps. (You don't think we let the tourists have the best stuff, do you?)
Great video again. Jodie really did not look happy climbing that hill, or was she just playing to the camera :-) Your comment about sometime you bust as a professional photographer, I think that's true of anyone who is serious about improving their photography, whether your a pro or not. You have to be prepared to fail in order to succeed
Man the piers are the worst part of the city! Everything is overpriced, the food is some of the most mediocre in the city, it's always packed with tourists... Hit up The Mission, Japan Town, Hayes Valley. Those are more about SF than the tourists and there's lots of awesome food there. Though the best Asian food is in the Richmond and Sunset. Also, the place you shot in the morning is gorgeous at sunset.
Picturesque, iconic, wonderful! Loving the photography! Keep it coming !
+david nassur thanks David!
Awesome shots, love this place of Golden Gate Bridge. Thank! Brendan.
Just love your enthusiasm whether or not things are great. The moss made the shot!
+Brad Zaruba yeah, that moss was awesome. Totally made the shot.

Thanks man!
Heading to San Fran in March. Can't wait to shoot at Marshall Beach. A very helpful post.
Really liked the portrait of you sitting on the rock. Also, the waves going over those rocks there are beautiful.

+TP-vision Photo yip! The best photos I've taken are all with a storm inbound or outbound.
lovely photos Brendan...you're very dedicated...where are you standing at 5:47? Is that Baker beach or Marshall? Thanks.
Great video. And point about sometimes busting.

+Magic Luis yeah, I tried to get there but the tide was too high. Looked like a good spot though!
Amazing episode, love the last shots of Golden Gate Bridge man!
Really nice B roll, Brendan!
Thanks Jan. Lots of help from Greg on that
You both did a great job on that :)
Nice images. You make every video have a positive.
+Edward Lee thanks Edward!
You're one of my favorite channels. I hate when its over.

Which camera and lens did you use? Tell us about your filters as well. Thanks

+Junaid Lone glad you liked it. By Andrew Applepie.

+Patrik Forsberg i use Airbnb a lot. But, usually the motels in the US are just as cheap and more convinent

Just watched the most recent post from Thomas heading for Zion.....can you feel Heaton on your heels......he's following you two.........

+Ralph Goldsmith she was playing for the camera... I think. Haha.
Which spot was the last shot? Those slippery rocks?
+Saravanan Sankar down at Fort Baker.
Where's the sunset shot?
Those hills in SF are steep, and will kick your arse!
+CarlosVanVegas at Fort Baker.
Not a fan of SF but that’s really beautiful.
+Paul Burley thanks!
What are those gloves?
+Scott Donaghe they are photography gloves by Vallerret.
Great shots of the Gate. Come back when we have fog and take some shots of the towers just peeking over them.
p.s. Glad you liked Fort Baker. That's my favorite place for blue hour Gate photos.

+Doug Stewart wish I had more time to do all that. Need to go back!
You definitely do!
Yeah, that clam chowder in the mission district.... NOT. :-P
+Matthew Saville, if you're making a gay joke it'd be the Castro, not Mission. Best clam chowder in the city is along the Embarcadero anyway.
How do you not know what a one wheel is? lol... Peter Mckinnon and Casey Neistat both have them.
+David Penner what's a one wheel??
+David Penner ohhhh the unicycle thing? Haha. Just because I'm on RUclips doesn't mean I live in the RUclips world hahaha
...Does Graveyard Girl have one too? :-P What about Jeffrey Star?
Cool photos!!! Try waterproof socks. Check out Nick Page vlog he uses them all the time. Handy for you as they take up little space when traveling
i miss in-n-out
+BrentRosePhotography so good!
17min in and I’m already 2nd......
+BinBin Zheng 17 points!
Odd socks?
+Stephen Stringer that's how I roll. Haha
