Boy, I went to SF in Oct 2015 and stayed there for only a few hours. Didn't get to see golden gate, but saw bay bridge and visited fisherman's wharf. One of those days, I will go back to SF. Thank you!
Both sides of my family have been in San Francisco just over 100 years now so seeing Lands End and especially the Sutro Baths brings back lots of memories from my childhood. My recently passed Aunt would always take my sister and I to Golden Gate Park, the Cliff House restaurant and what's left of the Sutro Baths. Did you know that there was a Santa Cruz beach Boardwalk type amusement park where those condos and Safeway is just down the street? It was called Playland and my mom, dad , aunts and uncle's went there as very young kids then they would go to the Sutro baths and make it a whole day. I am blessed to have been told these old stories from my mom, dad and especially Aunt Carmen. Unfortunately because of the crime in San Francisco now we don't visit like we used to, we just visited the San Francisco Zoo 2 weeks ago, it's really the most beautiful city in the world. Shout out to my great grandfather Roman Razura who was one of those brave men who worked on the Golden Gate Bridge back in the 1930's the bridge is as beautiful as always☺️
Great trails, Cliff House is currently closed but suppose to reopen and the little bar on the cliff shut down for good. I lived there for work before Covid and went to the beach every weekend. Golf courses are close by too.
I walked Point Bonita Lighthouse over the weekend. Nice clear weather... In a hurry to get to Morro Bay that day but Lands Ends will be on my next trip...
Haven't been here for years. Last time was in high school in 2009 or so. And I didn't know the history about the baths! Might have to check it out again now. Thanks for this!
I recently walked that same trail, but in reverse! I agree with you on all points- its a gorgeous trail! My partner and I were luck to watch sea lions hunting in the ocean at one of the trail's vantage points. I love it there. But it's always very windy!
We, native San Franciscans, as kids, used to go through the first tunnel and then into the second cave behind it with only birthday candles for light! I don't know why we did that! Things you do when you're a kid... Well, those are my memories of that small cave. We never did go in very far, so I don't know how deep it is. The water would rumble under the cave floor and we would run out screaming!
This is one of my favorite places to run! I usually combine it with the Batteries to Bluffs trail in the Presidio because it's a little short. Go EARLY because it gets really crowded!
Thank you for this, you just altered one of my days when I fly over to do this before I head to Yosemite. Scare Fest at Discovery Kingdom and then head back to SF for this
At the sea cave, I crossed the wall. I crossed the half wall and got chased by a massive wave and felt a wave on my ankles. There's a spot that you can slider crawl down too a foundation that has waves crashing 60 feet up with you sitting their!!!! The giant rock, I climbed with my best friend. Serious exposure!!! swans oyster depot is amazing!!!
Josh man!! I can’t wait to do this…thanks again! It was on my list but another video of the area and the views are making me get on the ball quicker 🙌🏽🙌🏽.
@@tuantran-qt2dk Yeah, that’s what everybody is saying about the US. Economically I would prefer Sweden, but y’all got beaches, warm weather, mountains, probably alot of things to see and do
Are you familiar with the San Francisco Crosstown Trail? It runs diagonally through SF from Candlestick Point to Land's End. Whole thing is 17 miles and is supposed to be pretty cool. You can do it in sections and explore different areas of SF. I was planning a trip over (I live out in the Central Valley) in February of 2020, but had to cancel when everything closed down and haven't gotten back over there. The Land's End Trail is a real favorite! Thanks for all your videos!
First time San Fran AWESOME!! Second time San Fran needles, poop, and smelly!! GOing to enjoy your videos of area, but stear clean until sanity returns
Dude you’re in my neck of the woods! Been enjoying your channel for a while. I have two boys that (6y and 8y) that can use some adventure in their lives lol
Being that San Francisco is one of our oldest beach /port cities I was thinking there are probably lots of places there to find seaglass. Have you ever found any there ?
The Bay to Breakers route is worth doing if you want to see parts of the city, Golden Gate Park. In 2002 i met the crew of the Myth Busters down by the old US Mint. I like walking around San Fransico because of all the Dirty Harry movies and Mel Brooks High Anxiety, but the city is more dangerous than it used to be for sure.
@ 06:28 I used to go to this beach back in the '80s ( I was in my thirties ) when there were no trails.....Imagine going via man-made footpaths, hey when you are young it did not feel like much of a task....
Be careful parking in the area, sadly LOTS of window smash&grab breakins :-( Do NOT leave any valuables in the car! If rear seats can fold down to reveal trunk, might fold them down to show nothing in there, to avoid smashed windows. Much of SF is similar especially touristy areas, but this is a bad one, along w/ Coit Tower, etc
@@PrincessJamiG is usually in the warmer months starting around April to about September or October. There was one year a few years ago where you saw them everywhere but after that you just see them once in a while. I’m not sure what happened.
My favorite spot in Sf is a quick stop at Baker Beach. It is the best view to get pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Your Chanel videos really showcases the goodness of California 🌁
We've been to sf many times and this trail by far is the best.
Agreed!
Was there in March (from Germany), a wonderful place as the whole area
Great work. Lived in the Richmond for years and love SF more than you can imagine. Would love to see Sutro Baths restored to their former glory.

So cool to hear those stories, thanks for sharing them with me!
This really is a spectacular path. I walked it with a group just before covid. I could do it every day!
Thank you for sharing your family story with us. :)
Loved Playland at the Beach, we use to go there all the time.
Wow I thoroughly enjoyed this, Thanks for this!!!

Just went yesterday, it was beautiful
I used to hike here alot while I was pregnant and even did some maternity photos at the Rock labyrinth, thanks for bringing me back to my happy place!
Awesome video! Thanks for the great views! 👍 can't wait to try this one!
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you!
As a San Francisco native you caught a very nice day in the City! No wind, or fog, just lovely views, & sun.
Thanks Josh.!! Shame on me so near that i never knew this beautiful.need to hike this.!!🥰😍🤩

Such a huge fan of you page. Never knew so many unique places in California. ❤️
You got lucky while visiting San Francisco that day.......sunny and no wind. It's usually foggy and windy around this time of year (Summer).

Great photography . Great that you can share the experience with your dad.. Thanks CTML
Glad you enjoyed it!
They should definitely open back the aquarium. There’s only one aquarium in SF and it’s at the Pier 39. Having one here would be great.
I love living close enough to simply walk to lands end from my house

Definitely going to go experience this soon! I’m sure it’s best to go early to start.
Early is always better but the trail never seems too busy outside of weekends.

Would love to!

Another great video Josh. Surprised there wasn't that much fog that day. Which was great since you can see the Golden Gate bridge.
Yea, it was a perfect day for sure!

Beautiful video! Is this trail safe? Any homeless? Thank you!
Yes, the trail is safe... No homeless
I have to take my relatives to task. They’ve never shown my this on past visits to SF.
Does visiting there come with a free broken window when you return to your car?
How far is sutro baths from the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco because I would love to go on a exciting hike at sutro baths?

Where to park and start the hike
How far is it from the end of Lands End trail to Baker Beach?
You occasionally see whales out in the waters around that area. It's worth it to stop to see if you can spot them.
That sounds AMAZING. Is there a certain time of year to best look for whales?
