Try starter fluid. If it runs great at the start then dies it probably needs to have the carb cleaned out

      Yes for sure, if it just clicks you can jump the terminals on top with a screw driver to see if the solenoid is bad. If that doesn’t do the trick it maybe a bad starter. Let me know once you’ve tried this!

    You didn't show cleary the the ground wire that went to the solenoid. Im hopeless with all this. Thats the only part i need explained now..

    • @Cheaphorsepower
      @Cheaphorsepower  6 месяцев назад +1

      The green wire coming off the solenoid is the ground. The yellow wire is the power wire. That will go to one of the wires on the switch to the handle bars. The other wire will go to the power source (positive side of the battery). You can also just attach it to the solenoid to the side that has the big cable wire coming off the positive side of the battery. See on side goes to the starter the other one is coming off the battery that’s how it gets power. The solenoid is just a switch that makes that connection. That’s why when your solenoid is broken you can use a screwdriver to connect the too and “jump” that connection in a bind if you really need to start your machine in an emergency. Hopes this helps! Good luck!

    • @Cheaphorsepower
      @Cheaphorsepower  2 года назад +1

      Hey brother I had an idea to help you before the video, it’s what I do every time now. Look up a kickstart harness on Amazon is the simplest headache free harness, then copy that setup by cutting away everything you don’t need on your current harness like lights and solenoids voltage reg blah blah blah. You won’t need the whit or yellow coming off the stator either and you’ll only use the green wire going to the key if you keep it! Simple right? Let me know if this helps! Then last step just is a battery or a jump box to trigger the starter like I show in the video, I have another video in my channel that I show how to do this too if you look through my recent stuff, thanks for watching!

    • @Cheaphorsepower
      @Cheaphorsepower  6 месяцев назад

      Try to jump the solenoid (screwdriver trick) to see if the starter is still good. If it’s not trying your battery is either too low or your starter is dead. If that still doesn’t do it try and manually ground that green wire coming off the solenoid to a ground. Make sure you put it on the “right” power source too. Meaning not the starter side of the solenoid but the battery side.

Take a jump box or a battery and ground the ground wire from the battery to the chassis somewhere and touch the power wire from the battery to the power wire coming directly off the starter, the ending should fire right up like normal. My bypass trick does the exact same thing just hooks it up to the starter switch and stock battery. That and make sure your key and kill switches are in the on position. @Cheaphorsepower  2 года назад +1

      @@pedrocasas1026 that’s good, the wiring on these are really simple, you can also bypass the whole harness like I did here but go straight to the solenoid. Like the screwdriver trick you can bridge the power wires the jump the solenoid to see if that’ll work, if not you have a bad solenoid. That don’t go bad often but that’s the best way to tell. If you’ve got plenty of power to it and all it’s doing is clicking, and it turns the motor when you jump it it’s solenoid. If you jump it and nothing happens then your starter is bad those are pretty common. They usually warn you by turning slower and slower like it’s losing power. Sorry for the long message! Hope this helps
