Peter, another great video!!! Great tips! Everyone needs to stop, take some time, and figure out what will work for them, and then prepare for it. With my physical limitations..... I have to keep it SUPER simple. I "ingredient prep", have a fridge full of items that when it's time to eat... I can just toss things together, meal served in about 3 minutes! Yes, find the gaps of time, when you can do these things. When I have time, I toss 6 potatoes into the Instapot, there, those are ready for whenever I need them. Etc.

Sounds like a great system! Ingredient prep can be so super helpful. It's nice to have a bunch of chopped veggies ready to just toss in a pan

@theplantbasedteacher actually all of them. First of all my reasons vary, and I need to stop and think about them, maybe write them down. I've lost sight if some of the goals., which weakens my resolve. Also need to plan for when I eat out. Sometimes I convince myself I deserve the cheat....back to the goals. Need to also change mindset like you said. If it's important to me , need to make time for meal prep. Time is in short supply for me, but need to make time to do it.. thanks again for your great work with the videos!

@@jenniferkaczynski3765 So glad to hear it! You're so right, having that positive mindset and clear "why" can push us through any obstacles. Without that, no matter how many recipes we have, we won't stick to a healthy lifestyle. Keep up the good work, I know you can do it!

Planning, planning, planning, making a grocery shopping list and planning! I'm not a big cook but I love my daily salads and fruit bowls so I chop up a bunch of produce to have on hand. Sometimes I need a little chocolate treat and I have some homemade chocolate hummus or Peter's wonderful granola bars made up! Beans and roasted veggies are another weekly staple. There's so much to choose from! 😀

Great tips, for sure agreed with it all! It always helps me to remember how good i feel after nutrient rich meals and how bad i feel after eating junk. When im at a restaurant trying to pick something off the meal i think “how good do i want to feel after this?” And that usually drives me to pick an option with more veggies / less grease etc. I have yet to regret ordering healthy!

Video with simple advice but it makes the difference if you follow it ! I like the idea to switch from a restrictive diet mindset to a lifestyle full of abundance because you focus on all the healthy food that you can eat.
I am doing it without realising it : I would like to loose a little fat and I’m focusing on eating a lot of veggies as - next to the fact that it’s healthy - you are satiated with a big volume but without too much calories and thus you don’t need to count the calories

So glad you found it helpful! Yes the high-volume, nutrient-dense foods are absolutely key. A simple way to hit your calorie target without starving yourself (which usually happens with junk food)
