You could run the speaker wires through the peg board holes in the lower corners. That would hide them well. Even if you had to drill one hole in each lower corner if the wires were a little to big you wouldn’t ever need to use them lower corner holes anyway. Love the shop updates it’s a dream shop for sure. Keep down what you’re doing
Super impressed at how far the shop has come. What a great layout! You should add a tray above the pack-out boxes on your fab table so you don't fill them with metal shavings and can catch them all.
For the pliers drawer: I'm not sure if you've got the depth in that specific drawer, but I have a rack for my pliers that holds them on their side rather than flat. It's a much more efficient use of the full drawer volume and you can fit like 3x more pliers in the same space.
I feel you should just make the side with your compressor your wiring and hose building spot. That will allow you to buy more tools for crimping, etc, and build a small table. That also would allow you to reuse them toolboxes like you are currently trying to do and the packout boxes. That would be my two sense of making use of that area while keeping that hangout area still available.

Definitely should have put the stacker in the left corner so its a straight shot from the left bay door. Then have 1 big loft and you have the rear rollup door to have a "hybrid" fab area for the noise and welding gas to stay out of the shop more. Im sure it would feel more open that way
Having a large covered work space definitely could've been cool. He talked about having a primary and secondary toolbox meant one became forgotten and definitely feels like there's the potential for that to happen with the loft bays
Picturing this in my head actually sounds soo good. You could use a curtain made of welding shield plastic underneath the loft for keeping smoke/sparks/dust contained under the loft for fab projects. You'd have clear access to the rear door with out having clearance issues on with the stacker. You'd have an open spacious loft you can build isles in one spot, then the rest for hanging. Fab tools and bench under the loft, and mechanic tools in the big chest out in the main shop by the hoists
Matco hands down makes the best tool boxes period. You can literally open the top drawer all the way, stand in it, and it WILL NOT tip over. That's a 🔥 colorway too!

You should make the railings for the loft like a stake body truck. So they protect you when you’re up there not trying to lift stuff up and down. But when you need to you can simply lift it out of its holders and put it aside while you put your objects up there. Then slide it back in the slot when your done

Nice box and upgrades Taylor! The locking drawer on the Matco is used by a lot of techs at shops. Keep paperwork, and anything else sensitive in there without locking the whole box. Looks like you could remove the lid if you don't mind doing light damage to the box. Also, you probably want to avoid lowering the box as youll probably find yourself hitting your head on the hutch or having to bend down to grab stuff from the pegboard.
This has got to be in the top 10 best "hobby shops" in existence. Not one square foot is wasted. The layout is incredible. And having R2 just brings it all together, among other things. 😂. Box looks dope af! I have my hutch light mounted to the back of the hutch door, most others I've seen are mounted the same way. Much brighter work space. Organizing a new box is so nice, I have a side locker too. I have a snapon masters and love it.
Happy to see you get yourself a nice box. Last year I upgrade my home shop box to a Snap On 68” Epiq. Honestly love it and will last a lifetime. A nice box is a nice upgrade for that perfect shop.
should swap the new loft tool box and the chairs so you can watch the TV in the chill spot and also have the toolbox against the wall so if youre working on something and you drop it it doesnt fall to the ground below
I don't love the green cabinet in with all the red, but I fully understand how it is when buying used. Having ALL the choices is part of what you're paying the big bucks for when you buy new. The important part is that it looks like it will work well for you👍
One idea for additional storage that is often overlooked in hutches; magnets. For a box that is almost always stationary, you can put magnets on the back side of the door and put your most used wrenches, ratchets, pliers, etc hanging under the door, but still shallow and out of the way of reaching to the back.
I see you with the new gerber razor knife. I’ve had mine for a few weeks and absolutely love it. Much slimmer then the ol Milwaukee and the added pry tool makes my job doing hvac 10x easier
9:02 Perfectly said. It makes projects and clean up after projects all better. I got a super knock off brand (OEM Tools) that is a 72 wide, 20 deep, but all drawers at at 65 Tall for $2,000. I just measured the actual drawer space to compare and it is 48x69x16 for 52,992! It isnt the greatest metal like you talked about, and it dosent have all the fancy latching and rollers. The drawers are very study though and for my home projects needs it is Wonderful!
I feel like moving the old box against the loft wall and putting the chairs by the lift would flow better and you’d also be able to see the tv from the chairs aswell as give yourself a nice backdrop for future sim streams/podcasts stuff like that. While still being useable space but also good hangout vibes. Much love always bossman! New box is rad!
Your shop is magnificent Taylor I admire you , Ive been watching you since literally day one when I was 14 I'm 22 now and I still can't afford a drift car , I just recently bought an 04 mustang gt the first "cool" car I've ever had with enough power to do anything but with life's ups and downs I really can't afford do do the things I want . I hope one day I can be as great as you
I think you did a good job organizing everything to keep that open feel in the shop. It’s amazing how quickly a large shop can feel cluttered if all those small details are over looked.
For the awning, since you can't support it below you could support it above via small steel wire. Have the edge of the awning "hang" off of the wire up top.
The right side of the loft needs a door to a outdoor deck. Pour a nice stamped concrete patio outside below it. Then have regular steps that go up along the side of the shop to it. So if your standing at the side entrance door just about 5 feet to your right you have steps upto the deck. You could so some outdoor storage cabinets below the steps. You then have a covered shaded lowered patio and nice deck above overlooking your house and your property. Then you also have walking access to the lofts from outside. Just make the deck on the outside the same length of the loft on the inside. That'd be so cool and you'd have an outdoor chill spot on both levels aswell as loft access without going inside the shop. If you needed to carry a box or something to the loft you don't have to use R2 or walk the spiral stairs and use the bridge. I'd hang those string lights where each looks like a mini later under the the deck to light up the lower patio. Have a litte outdoor tiki bar chill area on the lower patio Then the upper deck off the loft just have a chill deck with maybe a small grill and some outdoor table and chairs with an umbrella. I just think that'd be a cool easy addition that has multiple benefits and ads some optional access points. Another idea would be removing the rear covered storage roof and building a elevated deck in its place. Then build a new roof that matches the roofline of the shop. Then frame that deck in and make a room with doorways at the back of each loft into it. Then if you don't want to use the bridge just walk into that room and loop around to the other loft. Then you have that entire back room for whatever. It's 30ft wide by however deep your covered storage is.
The top hutch as you call it is actually called over head storage . I got one for my 6S matco tool box and hutch also have a side lockers and I have run out of room in it that’s why I have 2 large tool carts. Collect a lot of tool over the past 30 years in the medium duty truck/automotive industries
On the one hand... I'm happy/excited for all the new stuff. The shop is INCREDIBLE!!! You've done a GREAT job getting to where you are. I know it was a LOT of hard work. On the other hand... I miss the days in the single car garage with the camera propped up in the top of the old toolbox. You've come a LONG way since then and you have a lot to be proud of. Love the videos! What's the plan for the bus??? I thought for sure we'd be seeing a lot more action in that thing.
If you don't want extensions or loose sockets to roll around whenever you open your drawers add some magnetic tool holders. They're 3/16 magnetic plate and hold things in place really nicely.
What a surprisingly wonderful informative relaxing video. Your selected subjective content conjures ideas flooding my brain. Now motivating myself as you were is another story!
The awning is a nice touch, however that downspout will channel all of the water into one big stream that will eventually wear on the yard and create a hole. You should really get some kind of gutter and route the water into a downspout and onto a concrete downspout 'splash block' that will take the brunt of the force and in turn not tear up your yard. As an added bonus you can point the splash block away from your garage and house.

Great color combo!! Love organizing them on rainy days.
Love flipping the bench top over! Thanks for your videos!
That was things a monster!!! And the color combo 🔥
This Video was so fkng Cool. Love the Shop updates. That box is next level. Shop is next level.
The shop looks so sick! Glad you're getting it done!
I've been loving the shop series.. but...I'm needing a car build video like a junkie😂😂
Run the speaker wire through the pegboard and around the back to other speaker
For the awning, since you can't support it below you could support it above via small steel wire. Have the edge of the awning "hang" off of the wire up top.
Employee of the month R2!!!
you can route the Speaker wires through the back of the pegboard
Have a litte outdoor tiki bar chill area on the lower patio
Then the upper deck off the loft just have a chill deck with maybe a small grill and some outdoor table and chairs with an umbrella.
That pegboard organization looks great
Such a bad ass tool box awsome. CONGRATULATIONS moving up ..
A levrack would be so good in this shop. Super clean looking convenient storage solution.
You should take a picture of every door/drawer open individually when you are done. Insurance purposes. Good time to do it when it’s all fresh. ✌🏽😎
Love , shop stuff and organization, it's really great!
If you don't want extensions or loose sockets to roll around whenever you open your drawers add some magnetic tool holders. They're 3/16 magnetic plate and hold things in place really nicely.
Such a fire box honestly looks great with all the red really pops
I really enjoy and could watch the shop upgrades for another year or two. Though, the shop upgrades will make the car builds so much better.
I bet TJ Hunt approves of the British Racing Green and Gold! Nice box... I can't wait to see you set it up and organize it
i love shop updates! and i love the color on the new box.
That color combo matches my garage floor. 😮 Cool find.
Love it great job, can't wait for the next video bro.👌👍
What a surprisingly wonderful informative relaxing video. Your selected subjective content conjures ideas flooding my brain. Now motivating myself as you were is another story!
The awning is a nice touch, however that downspout will channel all of the water into one big stream that will eventually wear on the yard and create a hole. You should really get some kind of gutter and route the water into a downspout and onto a concrete downspout 'splash block' that will take the brunt of the force and in turn not tear up your yard. As an added bonus you can point the splash block away from your garage and house.
Dayuuum! That's a dream toolbox.
Love the new box! Beautiful color combo
Need to upgrade and get some toolgrid also! Make that change myself over the winter and its life changing.
