I was at Microtech last week and they had several of these in the store showroom. I handled and flipped it and I can confirm that the action and fit/finish are absolutely stellar.
I received mine about 2 weeks ago. I actually called Microtech they sent me a link, which shared what was needed to order. Absolutely am enjoying this knife...
I’m in a microtech Facebook group and some folks lost their minds over this knife. So many “never buying microtech again” comments. I like it and hope to grab one someday along with a SOCOM elite
Great point, quality is quality. Great topline offering at a price most can afford. Thanks Tony for going out on a limb to get more of your great knives to the public. I hope you continue to collaborate to bring custom quality to the normal Joe.
So I bought one of these this morning and after laboring through your criticism of the lanyard hole and pocket clip, you came back and made me feel better about the elevated price I paid for it on Ebay. Shout out to ya bro !!
Have many nice folding knives, several recommended by MC. Don’t own the Elite but picked up the new Bravo with a Tanto blade. Absolutely love it. Was pleasantly surprised. Has all the great attributes described by so many already in the comments. One nit pick I haven’t heard yet that I experienced is excessive sharpness on the exterior milling. I was able to knock it down with 1000, 2000 and then 3000 3M sand paper to my liking. Took about an hour but now it has the perfect amount of traction without being sharp. Best $350 I’ve spent on a knife in a long time. Feels like a tremendous bargain!
Just bought a 'Bravo at Knife Center for $357. I have both US made and China made knives.i try when possible to buy US made knives but probably wouldn't have spent 800 dollars to get a US made version of the Bravo. Having looked at every photo I could find of this, I can't wait to have it in hand.

Been wanting a socom elite for years and they were readily available a few years ago but I just didn't have the money but now I easily have enough to get one yet you can't find them anywhere besides the secondary market. Man my Socom Bravo came super tight, like I can't even flick it the detent and/or frame lock is so tight when it is in the closed position. I didn't think he frame lock was supposed to close so tight in the closed position, it's almost resting on the blade. Did yours get easier to open with time? My fingers all have blisters on them lol. Any feedback or advice is appreciated. Thanks for the review!
I know it’s not a popular opinion but if the materials are quality and the manufacturing is done well and at a high level, then I will take it regardless of geographical location. If I can get an $800 knife for $350 because it was made in China, with all of the quality mentioned before, then that’s not a hard decision to make in my mind.
Most of the time the only reason products are expensive is because of labour, labour in USA are way higher than China thous cost needs to be projected on the price.
I hope these aren't hard to come by because I'm buying one. I like Microtech and their products have served me well in both of my careers. And before you comment about where it's made, I don't care.
It’s a really nice knife, but still want an Elite for potential hard use, meaning possibly really bad conditions. Those tacky inserts on the Elite will be great in wet or muddy conditions. Plus it has a glass breaker.
I personally own this knife I got it for x mas. And I was ready to return it when I found out where it’s made and honestly this knife atleast mine is flawless absolutely beautiful! It’s one of my favorite knives and the price for the quality and value is amazing. The Rike collaboration killed it! Mine is serial number 2711 if that helps

This knife is beautiful. But the locking system is not like the original bravo that is custom made. The lockbar is just cosmetic. But still nice knife.
I just got the black DLC signature series version and I'm disappointed. Two glaring reasons... 1, the lockbar is rather sharp, making it not so fidget friendly. I'm a knife junkie who collects knives not for the tool aspect, but for the craftsmanship, action, fidgetability, and feeling in hand. 2... the detent is very weak, to the point of being able to shake it open easily with the flick of the wrist.
