@@jammcard hi there can you release an compilation album on like music streamers.. or cd even.. with songs like these some of Cory Henry, Quincy Jones etc etc that will be great
Its amazing that Jacob does not try to have all attention on him, but rather loves to involve and incorporate others to enjoy the music with him. You can even tell by the way he closes with "you sounded beautiful". He is a lover of music, not a hungry for fame or attention
I met him in person and his humility is uncanny, spontaneous. His talent is so self evident the last thing he would use his energy on doing would be to pose, or show himself. He is an instrument to grace.

100%, just watched the 1st 3 minutes of this and this has to be the worse crowd i have ever seen at a JC gig. Too cool for school and these sad people are totally missing the point about what music is all about. Just go home lol
@@soulcentral2462 Why cant they have it any way they like? I know it can be hard to play to a crowd that don't react the way we want it, still it is not their responsibility to please us as we don't have to please them. As long as they don't do anything that will disturb the concert they have a right to be there and it is worth appreciating that they gave their time, attention and money to hear the music.
Love how he always involves his audiences. Music is such a universal language and seeing everyone just start jamming with him was beautiful. Great dude with an unparalleled passion for music.
Eric persing is standing right behind him singing his heart out. Thats crazy. Eric created the most iconic sounds for roland and made omnisphere. And jacobs using keyscape. Another one of Eric's products.
That's Eric Persing, before Spectrasonics he designed the preset sounds for the Roland D-50 and JD800 among others, so he's kind of a legend in synth circles. If you've heard a pop/R&B song from anywhere between 1986 and 1995 it's likely you've heard some of his sounds.
For all of his aptitude and genius, it would seem that one of Jacob's greatest pleasures is to make music as accessible, collaborative and as non-elitist as possible. Thank you God for this man, his talent, and more importantly his heart.
and this is what you get when you combine a man with something he loves and dedicates himself to .. as many others before him amazing... i can't wait to see what jacob will become in future, he already got a grammy at a fairly young age this dude is killing it already
It happened with Snarky Puppy. It happened with the later chapters of David Crosby's career. And now it's happening with Jacob Collier. An artist I barely knew about turns out to have a treasure trove of delightful music that I get to hear for the first time. In the last couple days I've seen the one in London, the MIT special, the trio with a female artist and John Mayer, and now this. Life is good. If music is magic, Jacob Collier is a Gandalf-class wizard.
Probably the most talented musician on the planet, and he’s only going to get better and influence more people in the coming decades. The prodigy that stands on his shoulders 30 years from now will be unbelievable.
Besides the amazing (dare I say, other-worldly) musicality of this young man, it is a joy to see how (one) he brings his audience into his music, and (two) he does not have that I'm-something-special-but-you-aren't attitude that a lot of musicians have. The boy is a genius and yet he is simply happy to be doing what he is doing. The harmonies are soaring, yet at no time we feel anything even close to "let me show you how amazing I am".
You are not able to measure how lucky you are to have Jacob Collier around and enjoy these wonderful encounters. I have to settle for listening to his music because I live in Argentina and, although he has already come twice, I am from a city very far from the capital and I could never afford that luxury. Enjoy it, we are contemporaries of a future music hero.
So wonderful, finally I have a name for what i was dreaming of for years: JammJam, involving the listeners, the audience to become a part of the musicians not only with some hand-clapping but with really joyning the music becoming a part of of the music. I'm touched to tears to see Jacob is doing this.
It is very interesting to experience how a young man who feels and thinks about music in his heart uses his whole soul to captivate and fascinate other people. Even Quincy Jones was probably surprised to experience such a session. Also interesting to see Eric Persing, the brilliant creator of Spectrasonics. THANK YOU for this super nice video!
What instrument do you play?
Jacob: "The crowd"
Pulki Pulki
lols precise
And Keyscape ;)
I believe the answer to that question is simply "Yes"
Literally every jc live video has this comment, along with the "yes" version. Painfully unoriginal/cringy.

A true light in 2020
Agreed
Oh mhen..!!
This earth has more to offer....!
I always wondered what it would be like to live in the past and experience the rise of Bach or Mozart. This is the time and the name is Collier.
Agree, what a gift 🤗🎁
Indeed Indeed Indeed.
The man is otherworldly.
Truer words have not been spoken.
He may have the best ear since Mozart!
Scat-singing a Michael Jackson cover is not Mozart
His musicianship has inspired a whole generation of youth to play instruments. Thank you
