I did just pick up the BEC unit and the high torque 400 along with the metal traxxas horn. Huge difference and absolutely love the system, more power in the servo than I will ever need, older video but just wanted to toss a positive vibe on the traxxas servo! Good honest review my friend!
Great job, thank you for testing these specific servos!🙂 I've been wondering about these for a very long time. I will admit I am somewhat of a Traxxas fan boy and always cheer for them, but this is pretty disappointing considering how much we pay for these. We are lucky to have you here to show us the technical aspects of R/C. Keep it up!!
@@RCReviewChannel We also thank you for your tests. So far in your tests most of the manufacturers are not telling 100% truth. In the end we need strong servos and to use / buy the best for the money we want to spend. Like if we want servo for less then $20 - DS20 kg; $50 - .... ; $100 - .... ; Please make you final conclusion like this. Best servos for different price range.
@@RCReviewChannel absolutely I look forward to seeing more of these. And I agree, it is especially disappointing when a company such as Traxxas is guilty of it, being a Titan in the industry as such. I could see it if it were a sub brand making inroads and trying to gain a footing in the market. Unfortunately we spend quite a bit for the Traxxas warranty which is actually quite good( customer service, sending out parts no questions asked, answering the phone immediately etc) but it would be beneficial for the to be honest in the long run, considering how much they ask for these servos which should be stock on at minimum the trxs.
Good work. I love these test 👍 By the other side, i was afraid about stock servo (2075X). So i bought the kit 2255 servo with the bec 2260 and the servo horn steering metal 8247X. I have installed the BEC and the servo horn steering metal with the stock 2075X servo. Still running fine after more than 100 hours crawling. I only feel a little lack of power in heavy duty conditions. The 2255 is still waiting the 2075X fail. I think the 2075X is not so bad as the people say. The stock (plastic) servo horn steering is crap, not doubt 👍

All six of my bashers have the regular 2075 servo. After more then a year of service they haven't failed on me. Not one. I've beaten them to death just about and they refuse to give up the ghost.
I appreciate the info you are providing on the accurate servo specs. I will use this as a basis for future purchases, but I sure wish I had known this before I bought the 2255! : )
The 2075X, "rated" at 125 oz in, might be near accurate for a warm, in use application.... 140 seems more accurate though. Still a throwaway for the serious guy. Carmine ✈🚂🚙
It’s a decent serval to be included in the kit and it’s one of the better ones out there. But if it does break it’s not worth getting a new one for $50. Also our test use a powerful power source.
Power, accuracy, throw, power draw... Which servo would be the most fun in a TRX 4 sport? I thought it would be easy to drop a 400 brushless in and be done with it.
Wow. Amazing review. Audio is pretty bad though. I bet Traxxas isn't going to like this, haha. No wonder they don't list all the specs. What's the most amperage a servo can draw before things start to "brown out". Also, would love to see a review on the Savox SB2290SG
Yeah the traxxas upgrade servos should really be factory equipment. The blue should be stock in the UDR and ERevo 2.0. I could see the argument for the red on either of those as well as the crawlers.
Local hobby shop gave me terrible advice to "upgrade" to a Savox SW0230MG pulling a claimed 111.1oz., terrible performance. Going to take it back and get my money back.
Such an informative and we'll done video. I was thinking about getting the 2075X serve and decided to search youtube for reviews. Those other servos are nice, but $80 for one that's alot. I can buy an RTR rc for that price
No I have the 120...but they have a plastic midgear kinda why I'm getting a Savox it's ok actually but I'm planning to put in a metal servo horn and bell crank which I guarantee would kill it
Hey nice vid, one short q. i want to upgrade my trx 4 servo should i need bec, or enought if i plug a new servo into receiver box and im ready to run? btw how much voltage came out from that receiver box do u know?
Any ide if the BEC will fry the ESS dual sound simulator? They both plug into the channel 2 on reciever. Anyone have experience with this? I want sound AND servo power!
Could you please review the power hd storm series servos. I got the storm 25 and 35 and I'm very impressed with the build and speed. Not sure about the torque though
Thanks for the info RC Review... umm... back to the drawing board Traxxas, that is an epic fail on your upgrade servos ! After you test all 30 or so servos will you do a video summery on your findings?

I'd recommend a AGFRC servo. They're very reliable and actually a lot of other companies rebrand them as their own.
You should do a testing on the new Traxxas Servos they released! Also some Perfect Pass servos!
Will look into it

Yes 1 inch from Center for sure

The servo horn your using is much longer than stock and can ad more leverage. Using a stock traxxas horn or servo saver would be accurate.
