As a girl who recently just opened up with commissions for the very first time, this is INCREDIBLY useful to me. I’m definitely making a lot of mistakes since, again, this is my first time, but this is really useful and I CANNOT thank you enough for providing this advice.
Noice, familiar artworks! These are some solid tips and I hope this video has a huge reach, I've seen so many beginner artists worry about not knowing how to start and how to price while being too fearful about managing links. Really looking forward to part 2.
Thank you so much Ruse and thank you so much for all your support. You are one of the reasons I can confidently talk about commissions since your support helped me immensly at that time.
I am so happy I came across your videos, I'm wanting to start doing commissions but I had no idea where to begin, so thank you for creating this, it's helped give me a clearer path on where to begin OuO
It's almost summer break here in our school and i really want to make some small amount of money to help my fam and just buy somethings that i also want
This is absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for this, I've been interested in doing commissions for a little while now, so this might be the thing that pushes me into finally doing it. :)
ik this is like a year ago, but i just saw this now and it help me cuz, i have a future art commision i wanna do after years, ive plan alot of stuff to do next year and its exciting, so yea very helpful video!
I wanna try doing commissions on insta but I’m only 14 and have no knowledge of anything associated with money or sell 😭 maybe I’ll just do pieces worth 10-20? Idk I wish I knew the worth of my art. Yes I do have a reason to my desire of wanting to do commissions. First off, I’m too young to work outta home. Second, I want money to buy a tablet and a stylus for my art cuz most of my art is done using my phone and finger. But I’m still deciding. Doing art for money isn’t really a big necessity for me or my family. Plus school starts soon and my schedule will be packed with early college 🗿
I am thinking, maybe I can make art for robux, since I don't have a credit card, and my mom/dad won't trust me to use theirs, so I will sell my art for robux, and when I'm old enough to get a credit card, I will start doing commisions for real money
Quick question about the emotes and stream overlays: if I wanna do this commissions, do I just send them the png file and they set up the emotes themselves? Idk how emotes work so I just wanna know how I’m supposed to /give/ the clients the emotes before I start commissions
This video seems very useful! I like your ideas at least. I have been drawing a lot more recently so was thinking about trying commissions. BTW, the links in the description are mostly out of date now it seems, if you want to update them.
Question, when you were making your commission page, you use those borders to divide your commission, what size were they? I'm making my commission page and I wanted to know what size were those borders?

I am 288 month old baby girl who wants to start an art commission by social media and Paypal. I am struggling to setting payment platforms, but this video might save me.
ok so for pricing, charging for time spent doesn't make sense for lower skill or simpler styled artists. You should charge based on the product you are producing, and its quality. Not based on whether it takes u 1hr or 5hrs to compete something. A more skilled artist might take a shorter period of time to complete the same product you took a day on, that doesn't mean they get paid less. If anything, if you are FASTER, you should get paid more for high turn-over :P
Yes you can! When you make your google doc on the top right should be a share button. After that there should be an option that pops up on how you want to share your google doc. At the bottom of that pop up should be the option to "copy link" I hope that helps!
Do you consider your self as an animator like I know there different type of animation I think your is stop picture or something like and I like your sketches on your Google doc
Hey! There are very few things I've actually animated like my intro, my starting soon screen for streams, stuff like that. Anything else I do I would consider animatics or in the case of my character in the corner of my videos I think that's just still images set to audio.
I guess one major question I have on commissions is when you should start. Like I’m not that big on Instagram (I only have Instagram rn for my art) and my following is 120, but I don’t get much interaction with my account 😅 so should I work on building my account more? Or could I just start commissions? Would love anyone’s input!
If you're ready to take commissions you might as well have your commission information out there or stare in your bio that you're open! You never know! You might have a post that takes off and people might reach out. Then when they do you'll already have your info ready. Hope that helps!
So, awhile ago I started doing commissions on picsart. No one has wanted one yet, and that was my old style. So, I've been thinking about posting another commission post and this helped me a lot with tips I didn't know about before! My picsart user is oxx_kiara_xxo if you wanna check out what I post there.

A bit late but a good way to start pricing art is by searching the minimum living wage then multiply that by the hours you spend making the piece

what about stuff on paper..? im only available on paper..
You can still do traditional commissions! Some people mail the art to the commissioner or they scan it and send them a high quality image!
Though if someone buys, how do you send it to them? Like do you send them through messenger or what?
Typically I will send through email so that it's higher quality.
Thank you 😊
I was watching RUclips and your video came and there was a note book with no lines just white paper where did you get that?
Plan on opening Commissions but I'm nervous. Honestly no one really knows me anywhere.

How did you start drawing I love your drawing style😀
I've been drawing since I was in the 3rd grade and started by drawing pokemon actually!
Hey I actually like pokemon
Cool!
im not sure what to do for paper commissions!!
What do people do with the image? Or the drawing. Do they download it and they can use it for whatever they want? I’m slow in this
They they can download it and post it anywhere as long as they give credit! They can print it and frame it too if they want
Ok when i done organising i put up a link and help me check it out
Im so early I love your Chanel and i would like to buy your drawing
How do you generate a link or your Doc? Or am I just stupid? Can you even make a link? Does it even work?
