Two gifted professionals who don’t try to outshine each other. Linda was keeping her voice in his range, she always kept her ego in check when singing with other artists, be it a duet or harmony. That is what professionals do ,they make the music . Neville was always surprising, his beautiful falsettos coming out of that man😎The Neville Brothers made great music together
Don't sleep on Aaron Neville! He has a unique and beautiful voice with natural breaks and a very slow vibrato. It makes him instantly recognizable, and such a pleasure to listen to! He's from Louisiana & was the front man for the Neville Brothers, who had a great sound that mixed jazz and zydeco. His brother Art memorialized Stevie Ray Vaughan by writing "Six Strings Down", a bluesy New-Orleans style dirge, that he gave to Stevie's brother Jimmie Vaughan. You can see Jimmie perform it on a few different RUclips videos, it is something special. To hear Aaron solo, check out his performances of The Grand Tour, Ave Maria, Tell It Like It Is, and Mississippi 1927. Yes you will fall in love with him, as the rest of us have!
A lot of people claim this, it is a controversial thing, I believe he was married, they are just very good friends! The timeline does not make any sense, he married his 1st wife in 1959 and had several children, she passed away in 2007 and he remarried in 2010, to a photographer. Do not know where this rumor started him dating Linda!
Linda R and James Ingram - Somewhere out there. This was the theme song from Disney’s An American Tail in the late 80s. This was a huge hit and a great duet love to see your react to it.
Aarons version of Ava Maria takes you to Gods Feet it is absolutely Angelic. I was soaked in tears the first time I heard it, and then hearing it live! Was mind blowing.
Your reaction to the kiss made me laugh, they were dating at the time, unbelievably beautiful duet with real feelings, his voice gives me goosebumps, I love bird on a wire by the Neville brothers
Aaron Neville has one of the most unique voices in all of music. His music is must hear if you're not familiar with him. These 2 also have a duet titled Close your eyes
My Mama loves this song. She taught me how to sign this in sign language. I love to sing with my mama and we would sing harmonies with this song. It means so much to me, thanks for reacting to this song
You might have heard Aaron Neville do a cover of George Jones’ “The Grand Tour”. Talk about FIRE!! I love what they do together on this song. Their harmonies - you might die from goose bumps!
Yay!!! ❤ My Mom LOVED this song and this was a blast from the past! She played this all the time on our record player set up in the living room! Great song! 😍 I LOVE Linda!!
"Don't Know Much" won Ronstadt and Neville the 1990 Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and was nominated for Song of the Year. "wikipedia"
This is another of those songs that was everywhere. It got a ton of play on country radio as well because of Linda. I was in college at the time, and I remember flipping my radio between the big Top 40 Pop station and the county station, and this song was playing on both simultaneously!
Arron is a New Orleans born. Of course he knows jazz and blues. And yes the Neville brother are all great musicians. I’ve seen them many times performing in the city.
I am glad that I lived during the time that I did. Performances like this are what I grew up with. Even on late night TV, you would get unfiltered live performances.
I can’t wait to watch this reaction in a little bit! Update: Ok, just watched. I’m pretty confident I suggested this a couple of times since I’ve been watching your reactions. But just glad you finally got here. This might just be one of if not THEE greatest duets ever! There were all kinds of rumors about a relationship, however I think they were always just really close friends. Aaron had been happily married for over 30 years at that point. I don’t believe Linda ever married. This is on her 1989 record “Cry Like a Rainstorm, Howl Like the Wind”, which has I think 4 Aaron Neville duets of which are all perfection. You should buy the record, it’s amazing cover to cover!
Aaron is associated with his family band, The Neville Brothers. He did have hits in the 60s, most notably Tell It Like It Is. Around this time, he did at least three duets with Linda. This propelled his own records. I most remembered seeing him cover a song George Jones made famous called The Grand Tour on CMT. So, I would either try Tell It Like It Is or go to the other Linda duets, and then maybe The Grand Tour.
Hearing this reminded me of someone you might enjoy doing reactions to. His name is Terry Fator and he is a ventriloquist but most of his act is him doing singing impressions of different singers. He is VERY good and won Americas Got Talent a few years ago.
They were an actual romantic couple. Not just musical partners Linda has sang in multiple genres: rock, folk, Latino and even opera (Lead in Pirates of Penzance)) she has an amazing voice
This is the most exquisite duet f all time in my humble opinion. These two voices together, it’s like the angels are directing them. I have gooseflesh the whole song through. BP if you want to hear another outstanding performance by Aaron Neville you should listen to his version of Ave Maria. I can’t describe it, you just need to go listen ☁
I grew up hearing this song - I kinda ignored it as a kid, but the hook/chorus always would get me, and make me pause because it was so beautifully sung. Now as an adult, of course I love it! So glad this one didn't miss your radar of experience, especially since you like the love songs. 😊 Great reaction, as always!
Both of these singers on their own make my insides go to jelly. Together I am a mess. Aaron Neville is like the Morgan Freeman of singers. He could sing the phone book and I would be "OK, let's hear the B section next". In short, they hit it out of the park, in this performance he had full permission from his wife to "sell it" and I truly think he and Linda indeed love and respect each other. And you can tell. It's beautiful.
When you were watching and listening, for a moment I thought you might be "feeling" the song as reflective of yourself, and the love you have when you look at your wife.
That is my boy Aaron!! His big hit way before this is “Tell it like it is”, “Everybody plays the Fool and others! You really would like the 1st on , very soulful!!
One of my favorite movies I've ever watched is "The Big Easy" with Dennis Quaid and Ellen Barkin. But the song by Aaron Neville from 1966 called "Tell It Like It Is" is amazing and fire,. I highly recommend that song for a reaction.
Aaron and Linda are close friends thats all the kiss was, no big deal gen z!. Also this video shows the true professionalism of Linda. She looks at the audience occasionally to keep them engaged and not feel left out. And in the beginning she sings softer as to get a feel for Aaron's volume, cadence, and direction. Then she ramps up the volume yet stays slightly in the back as to give Aaron the wheel to direct the path of the song. Absolutely brilliant and a testament to their skill
This is a beautiful duet, loved this as a kid in the 80’s from the first time I heard it. This was at the same time I was jamming Metallica, Megadeth and Billy Idol I was listening to this, Motown, Oldies, etc. I loved all types of music. Listened to rap since its start unless you want to go back to its real start by the Jubilaires. I truly think they started it but most people consider rap to have started in the 70’s. I was listening to Sugarhill Gang, Run DMC, Beastie Boys and others in the mid 80’s as an adolescent.
The audience in the comments always knows a lot of information about the artist you show. I love these two singers because this song matches their abilities and vocal range.
I'm not a big fan of either but when they came together for this duet, it was magic! I love this song, it's definitely baby making music lol. Aaron's christmas album is fire, too, man.
Oh man... I remember listening to this as a child! My mom listened to it a lot! I heard they dated for a couple of years, but i don't know if that's 100% true. Of course you like it... Those mushy ones get me, too!
I have loved this song and these two singing it since the moment I heard them....long ago 🤗 ❣️ 🤗
Two gifted professionals who don’t try to outshine each other. Linda was keeping her voice in his range, she always kept her ego in check when singing with other artists, be it a duet or harmony. Aaron is part of the world famous New Orleans music family The Neville Brothers.
I loved their music and to me Aaron was the most talented. I loved this song and played it a lot! ❤❤
This is one of the best duets ever done with two of the greatest voices of generations Amazing talent that only comes once in a lifetime ❤🎶
One of the most beautifully written songs with 2 legend voices. Ivebread that Linda held back on most of the song to give Aaron tne lead.
Don't sleep on Aaron Neville! He has a unique and beautiful voice with natural breaks and a very slow vibrato. It makes him instantly recognizable, and such a pleasure to listen to! That is so true, DO NOT SLEEP on Aaron Neville!!. For the Holidays you should also listen to his X-mas album, Aaron Neville a Soulful Christmas!!
Tell it like it is played constantly in our house! ❤❤❤
They won a Grammy award for this song in 1990 and this was live at the Grammy awards. They were dating during this time
A lot of people claim this, it is a controversial thing, I believe he was married, they are just very good friends! The timeline does not make any sense, he married his 1st wife in 1959 and had several children, she passed away in 2007 and he remarried in 2010, to a photographer. Do not know where this rumor started him dating Linda!
Nonsense they were both spoken for. Just two professionals doing their job.
You are correct.
@@lydmarl.475 If you research this, you will find out they were dating at the time.
@@personalcheeses8073 Research confirms they were a couple. Entertainment Weekly named them the "first couple of pop music".
I love how she didn't pull a diva attitude and try to outshine him. She kept it low key and he killed it, and it was almost magical ✨️
Linda and Aaron dated from 1989 to 1992. They recorded this song at the beginning of their relationship. The love in their eyes was real
Aaron's Christmas music is also wonderful! He is so talented
His voice just ripples. I just love him and Linda.
Aaron’s Tell It Like It Is and Everybody Plays The Fool are really good
One of the best love songs ever made.
Linda R and James Ingram - Somewhere out there. This was the theme song from Disney’s An American Tail in the late 80s. This was a huge hit and a great duet love to see your react to it.
Oh please do. It's fantastic!!!!!
Aaron & Linda did several duets together back in the day. They fit like a glove!
Aarons version of Ava Maria takes you to Gods Feet it is absolutely Angelic. I was soaked in tears the first time I heard it, and then hearing it live! Was mind blowing.
This song was so beautiful when they sang it together
Your reaction to the kiss made me laugh, they were dating at the time, unbelievably beautiful duet with real feelings, his voice gives me goosebumps, I love bird on a wire by the Neville brothers
I don’t think they were ever romantically involved
They never dated. Aaron was married at the time.
@@ABoomerReacts There are numerous sources that say they dated from 1989 to 1992.
Of course all of those sources could be wrong.
Aaron Neville has one of the most unique voices in all of music. His music is must hear if you're not familiar with him. These 2 also have a duet titled Close your eyes
These two were one of the best duets out there. this song is gorgeous
Adore Aaron’s vocals, and with Linda it’s magical! Thanks B.P.👍💕
My Mama loves this song. She taught me how to sign this in sign language. I love to sing with my mama and we would sing harmonies with this song. It means so much to me, thanks for reacting to this song
The first time I was introduced to Aaron Neville was on Sesame Street with his due with Ernie "Don't want to live on the moon" ♥️
My favorite love song duet. They are both off the charts. Thanks for a great reaction. You should have had your wife reacting with you. 👏👏👏🥰
Yes, the Neville Brothers! NOLA band play R&B, Blues and Zydeco. Formed in 1976. Awesome!
Voice of an Angel, from a very talented family. I have seen them many times. Was in New Ireland to see them dedicate Neville BLVD ❤️
New Orleans, dog gone auto correct
Linda can sing any genre!
This is one of my all-time favorite songs.....
You might have heard Aaron Neville do a cover of George Jones’ “The Grand Tour”. Talk about FIRE!!
I love what they do together on this song. Their harmonies - you might die from goose bumps!
All my life is another great duet by these two. I recommend it next.
Yay!!! ❤ My Mom LOVED this song and this was a blast from the past! She played this all the time on our record player set up in the living room! Great song! 😍 I LOVE Linda!!

Goosebumps every time 🥰
You need to hear Aaron sing Ave Maria.....maybe for Christmas?
Linda and James Ingram Somewhere out there is a good one also
They were just friends, but awesome performers! Love this song!
We love us some Aaron Neville
He has a very unique singing style(all vibrato?). Together, they're making great music
I've said it a few times, he's like the human form of a clarinet . A beautiful sound.
Hands down, the best duet ever recorded and performed!!!!!!
Arron is a New Orleans born. Of course he knows jazz and blues. And yes the Neville brother are all great musicians. I’ve seen them many times performing in the city.
Two iconic voices coming together to create magic. In spite of the kiss, they were never in love or dating. 🌸💐🎄
I am glad that I lived during the time that I did. Performances like this are what I grew up with. Even on late night TV, you would get unfiltered live performances.
I love this beautiful, romantic, song. ❤️❤️🎶🎶
I can’t wait to watch this reaction in a little bit!

OMG blues pop. This song came out in the late 80s I think? I was in high school show choir. Big duet song. Great harmonies ❤❤❤

Love, love, love Aaron Neville. First concert my husband and I went to together was Aaron Neville Christmas concert about 20+ years ago.
Listen to Linda Ronstadt sing in Spanish! It will blow you away!
Yes!
They sing, I cry….it was filmed live at the Gramma Awards…listen to Aaron’s Ava Maria….
They were an actual romantic couple. Not just musical partners
Linda has sang in multiple genres: rock, folk, Latino and even opera (Lead in Pirates of Penzance)) she has an amazing voice
Yes, I believe that too..

When this first came out and I saw them together, all I could say was "GOOD LAWD!"❤
I watched this performance when it was originally broadcast. Great, great live duet, when singers didn't try to outsing each other.
So glad you enjoyed this one. It is one of my favorites and have it saved to my play list.
I grew up hearing this song - I kinda ignored it as a kid, but the hook/chorus always would get me, and make me pause because it was so beautifully sung. Now as an adult, of course I love it! Aaron is “ the golden voice” for those who know him from LA. Go back to “Tell It Like It Is”
A favorite
I love the Neville Brothers

Thank you. I was sure you would love this duet. Linda received blow back from the racist element of our country for that kiss.
That is my boy Aaron!! His big hit way before this is “Tell it like it is”, “Everybody plays the Fool and others! You really would like the 1st on , very soulful!!
I've waited years for you to react to this!!!! Thank you!
Two beautiful voices making beautiful music. Timeless! Another wonderful duet is George Michael, Aretha Franklin - I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me).
One of the “I saw it live” moments I’d always remember
Im here, listening from Indiana, usa. It's dec 15 2024. 😅
Love this clip!! Aaron is amazing. It’s not Christmas until I hear him sing “Ave Maria” - add it to your holiday playlist.
Now that’s some music🔥🔥🔥. I love BP THAT YOU APPRECIATE THIS BABY MAKING MUSIC 🔥🔥🔥👵🏼 Gmaw
One of my favorite movies I've ever watched is "The Big Easy" with Dennis Quaid and Ellen Barkin. But the song by Aaron Neville from 1966 called "Tell It Like It Is" is amazing and fire,. I highly recommend that song for a reaction.
Great song. The election was a wonderful success this time thank God. ❤
Beautiful voices, and great song.
Congratulations from Portugal
This is beautiful 😢❤
So beautiful ❤🎉
Look up the Stone Ponies. That was where Linda got her start. Its a band from the late 60’s and she is the lead singer.
Another Fantastic Amazing duet is Andrea Bocelli and Ellie Goulding “Return to Love”. Absolutely Heavenly voices.
Aaron and Linda are close friends thats all the kiss was, no big deal gen z!. Also this video shows the true professionalism of Linda. More than "best friends," some sources say that the two had a romantic relationship. But I (obviously) wasn't there....
The story goes that after they recorded the song, she told him, "See you at the Grammys." This was AT the Grammys.
Amazing duet for sure.
For this live performance, they were apparently told no PDA - and you can see what Linda thought of that.
This is a beautiful duet, loved this as a kid in the 80’s from the first time I heard it. Aaron and his brothers rocked out with Greg Allman, Bonnie Raitt and Herbie Hancock on Midnight Rider!
Aaron is very versatile.
Ya aaron Neville voice spectacular
Two amazing vocalists! Great reaction!
The audience in the comments always knows a lot of information about the artist you show. I love these two singers because this song matches their abilities and vocal range.
Ohhhh. I'm so glad you did this reaction. Aaron Neville is one of my favorites as well as Linda ...there duets together are so special!! Loved it❤
I heard an interview with Neville,, said he was so nervous he was shaking
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Two of the best from way back he sang with the Neville brothers, you are to funny
I'm not a big fan of either but when they came together for this duet, it was magic! I love this song, it's definitely baby making music lol. Aaron's christmas album is fire, too, man.
This was my wedding song in 1996.🦋
To see this version of Aaron it’s hard to guess his background if you don’t know it already. He’s a man that truly turned his life around.
Oh man... I remember listening to this as a child! My mom listened to it a lot! I heard they dated for a couple of years, but i don't know if that's 100% true. Of course you like it... Those mushy ones get me, too!
They were a real life couple! ❤
Omg I've been waiting for this reaction .been suggesting it for a while now......your gonna love this ❤❤❤
She was told to not even touch him. This upset her so she kissed him.
