This dungeon is actually stupid lol. The game never once at least HINTS that if you deactivate a switch, it opens another. Every dungeon thuis far has told you that if you press a lever, it opens a door and thats that. Actually a dumb dungeon, i was ripping my hair out. Thanks for the video man
This is why I spent two hours last year making that graphic for myself I posted in your discord about a month ago. I've had to go through that floor another 7 or so times since making it, so it was worth it. Hope it helped. I remember you struggling so much in your stream of this, that the first time I did this floor I got out a pencil and paper to make ghetto diagrams, and eventually just made a graphic for myself. I feel like half their dungeon design budget went into this one room, now that I think about it. :O
I wanna think you for all the videos ! I absolutely love this channel!! The farming game style is so up my ally ! There’s just something about how you explain things that is just so easy! And your voice is relaxing! Love the channel!! Can’t wait to see what new games you play the next year!
I was lazy to think about on how to solve the puzzle but because i did not want to cheat and look it up. I decide to take out pen and paper. Write down the map with all switch and door. It did not took me that long at all and i was amazed on how putting effort can achieve.
OMG, thank you so much for this. I tried using the online guide for this dungeon from Neoseeker and Game 8 and they both have errors in them that led me down the garden path instead of the boss room. Your guide is very clear and super easy to follow.
The pink room at the start of the video isn't even open for me!! 😭😭 I'm gonna die here EDIT: Guys you have to go to the room before it and DEACTIVATE the pink switch then it opens!
omfg.... -__- Thank you man. I feel like an idiot for not noticing the doors open AND close base on the SAME DAMN SWITCH but hey. Super helpful Cheers mate.
@@JoshGamingGarden I got past this part and first tried the boss cause I was stuck for so long I ended up getting my forging up past 60 and Dualblades to 67 xD I think I was a lil over tuned.
Thanks so much for this video! And for your channel. The original Harvest Moon /Story of Seasons and Rune Factory series are so very dear to me. I grew up with Harvest Moon and it’s the most special game series in the world to me. It’s exciting to see another person so passionate about the series that I love, especially a man (no sexism, just meant that I don’t meet many men with a level of fervor even greater than my own for this series). I watch your channel all the time and I’m thankful for your time. Thank you again and take care!! 🩷
Thank for posting floor two specifically I couldn't find where the PURPLE switch was and it was behind a door that was dark blue instead of light blue. This was a poorly designed dungeon! I didn't know you had to flip two similar color blue switches. Imagine if you were color blind. Thanks again, you my friend get a like.
I wished this video came out earlier. I just sent a whole lot of time this friday figuring this puzzle out. 😂 Thanks for the video anyways, Josh. You explain it in a simple way.
I’m actually on this part now. I did the first floor, which I thought was a bit long, but not too hard. I didn’t realise that people were talking about the 2F. >_< Many thanks for this guide!
Thanks for your walkthrough, I often watched others of yours. So, I'm a super casual player (I'm playing in easy mode and going extremely my pace), but this dungeon made me so upset I had to stop playing the game and do other stuff/play other ones because I was really fed up. The thing is, I searched for a walkthrough bc the switch things were really confusing for me and everything was going fine, if not for the fact that there are some dark based foes that instakill me every time. I always manage to redo all the rooms and clear all the previously defeated enemies, but 4 times I tried going forward, 4 times I got instakilled. Is there a specific item I might want to try and craft/see if I'm lucky enough to get it from Heinz's shop? My luck is shitty enough that I've gifted 100+ handmade gifts to Terry and I still haven't got a heart pendant back from him OTL Thanks in advance to you or whoever might enlighten me and my puny player's path.
Hmm, I'm not quite sure about a special item. I play on normal and when those instakill enemies are in the room I avoid getting anywhere near them. Either doing magic attacks or let my monsters kill them for me and act as a healer.
@@Anti-heroine91 I was able to clear the floor and the entire dungeon by letting the three teammates do the dirty work and healing them (and kicking in at the right times). Now I'm onto the next dungeon and I'm cursing because you can't bring people with you (probably monsters are ok, but sadly I only tamed those giving me eggs milk and wool LOL, so I guess I'm unlucky AND dumb)
very late reply, but you can craft items that give you faint resistance, which prevent you from being one-shotted. go up the dead-end path northeast of the bandit king's old base, and during the daytime you'll find giant chickens at the end of it. you can get big bird's combs from them, which give 50% faint resistance. if you use 2 while crafting, you'll get an item that gives 100% faint resistance, making you immune to instakills.
I had to this look up through walkthrough to get pass this dungeon what stumped me was switches which block off certain rooms. Eventually, I managed to navigate and beat the boss. It's funny because on third floor easy to solve puzzle switch rooms.
Yeah, I think it's the only place in the whole game where switches do that, so no one expects it and it's so confusing. 😆 Glad you managed to make your way through!
Holy moly bad game design. If the game made it clear that pushing a lever back up would reverse a different door this would be fine, but there's no context clue for it. You get the door opening cutscene when you push it one way, but not when you do it the other way, which suggests that pulling it up only closes doors, since when you push it back down it plays the opening door cutscene. The puzzle itself is fine, the game just does an awful job of conveying to you the information you need. It would be LESS confusing if it stopped showing you the cutscene of a door opening each time you pushed a lever down, because that implies that down = open. And at this point in the game... Do we really need to know that the green switch opens the green door? Haven't we gone through enough bandit bases full of these walls to know what the buttons do? Thanks for the guide. This was bugging me a lot. A sour note on an otherwise very enjoyable experience, but oh well.
Even after watching it still feels insufferable to go back & solve it. where is the fun in this stage. There was seed grunt on outside the castle from the cutscene, why not fight them instead of typical monsters? Not to mention the puzzle, ugh....
Josh do you remember me. i was in your live stream and in rune factory 5. i am 175 hours in and im still not married. May i ask who do you want to marry. I am after Beatrice.

Don't worry it took me so long to figure it out at first! Kinda odd how the game only uses this mechanic once and at the very end!

Floor 2 definitely was aggravating me alot. And your video was very easy to follow and very helpful ty 😊

Yeah the first floor is lengthy but still not really hard! Good luck with the second floor, I hope this video helps!
I was able to write down the switch order for this level.
