Things Niantic needs to add: 1) faster health regen when walking vs. not moving, 2) crafting (med kits, power-ups, etc.), 3) layered armor, 4) palico customization/outfits, 5) the ability to set limits on what monsters/star levels you want tagged by your palico paintballs, 6) all items in the shop should be purchasable with in-game currency, 7) trading items between players, 8) something like Pokemon Go's incense/lure module to increase the spawn rate of large monsters for a limited time, 9) breaking a monster's body part yields that body part (not some random part). I've enjoyed Monster Hunter Now but it has many fixable problems that are holding the game back from achieving its true potential and make it feel more like a Monster Hunter game.
@@themurdock619 Of course, however Niantic has made hundreds of millions of dollars off of Pokemon Go and it has many of the suggestions I made in it. For example, you can earn in-game currency in Pokemon Go just by playing the game that can be used to buy items/upgrades/outfits/etc. You can also spend real money if you choose. In Monster Hunter Now, item box expansion is available via real money only. All other items require the use of gems that are basically only available via real money too (other than the 500 free gems you get for getting to chapter 6 in the story). Palico paint balls marking random low-level monsters when you're high-level and broken parts giving random unrelated parts are bad QOL issues. You wouldn't want that fixed?
I just started playing this a few days ago and I'm already really frustrated about the lack of heath options without spending real world money on a "free" game.

The gameplay for me is still fun, its the list of chores I have to do every time I WANT to play new content thats ruining it for me. The new one to fight Zinogre is a great example. Why am I doing back to back "Collect/ Slay X" quests to get to the new content that I can barely even make use of because even with the Qualily quest last week I dont have enough zenny or monster drops to make whole sets of new gear? It feels like Im grinding JUST to unlock more grinding with 0 reward for doing so. In base game, you at least feel like you're making progress every hunt and when you do need to grind, you can spend an hour running the same mining route thru a map and never need to worry about zenny again

Would be neat if instead of Eggs, MH had "tracks" and then after walking a certain distance you'd "find" a large monster. You could have a different "track" for each monster or group of monsters. It would give you another reason to walk around plus would be a way to hunt specific monster.
I really tried to keep the grind real when I hit the progression wall a few weeks ago but with the materials being a constant rarity 1-3 and monster bone + being like gold dust where I live, I slowly fell off. Once I saw TDS’s video on the end game progression of MHN. It was like a nail in the coffin for me 💀
Great content as always. I feel you as a dualblades main, i often ran out of potions. Hopefully niantic will somehow give quests that rewards potions 😁
I'm HR 128 & so close to quitting mhn. That stupid introduction to the new monsters was so so stupid & so pointlessly long. The hunt-a-thon is way worse than I thought it would be. I work swing shift & hunt primarly midnight to 6 am & they shut hat's down 9:15pm - 9:15 am. So all my time I have to hunt with my Lady hats are shut down. We can hunt all 8* & some 9* but we can't kill a 8* zinogre after more than 10 attempts with grade 8-5 ice LBG's with full recoil & reload speed & ice attack 2. We can't even solo 7* zinogre. Only one free hat every 3 hours and even if you buy a ticket & do another hat after your free timer starts over again from the point of the paid 2nd hat ending. Played since day one & play hours a night & have hunted with only 2 other people who I never even saw in person. I live in a big city & hardly no one else is hunting even in the middle of the day on the weekend. Hats where made to just suck money out of hunters for potions & hat tickets on impossible hunts for the incorrect star ranking for monsters. Zinogre is always a full star level higher than is displayed. Hats were made to be only done well with 4 players with hundreds of dollars of trust fund money. Looks like Niantic is trying to grab as much money as they can before they completely destroy mhn & every one quits. This game has no spirit what so ever of a monster hunter game. Just a final cash grab riding on the popularity of monster hunter world. Finally having to delete your hard hard core grind items for box space is absolute garbage. Box space is 1 slot for each item type not every item you greedy bastards.
I was fine was everything until I realized they made monsters stronger for no reason. I was able to take down 6 star monsters without issue and blow Im below the recommended. 5 stars feel like 6 stars. Yet the time is the same and potions are the same. I’m starting to retract my time from the game
Honestly this game was pretty fun from the start, despite the awful potion system, but Niantic’s constant greedy decisions are making it harder and harder to enjoy playing. The new hunt-a-thon feature looks completely bogus too. 150 gems to hunt the monster I want, plus 4 random ones that will waste my box space? No thank you. At this point, I’m expecting a massive dip in players after the Zinogre event and I guarantee that rather than apologize to the fans and take accountability, they will find a way to blame the players or the popularity of the monster hunter series.
I was playing quite a bit during release and having a lot of fun. Leveling up weapons didn't seem too bad but I hit a huge pitstop to where leveling anything past grade 5 now seems like a crazy chore. Greatsword needs more buffs imo or a way to negate damage better since I'm constantly using pots (skill issue maybe sure but playing safe with greatsword isn't exactly fun) I think the biggest change for me to keep me playing is uncapping pots so we can store them for event days or AT LEAST using zenny to buy them instead of gems. I've played a lot of gatcha games and the packs in MHN are the worst I've seen. The game 100% needs either more things to do while waiting like you mentioned or a way to just constantly play without having to buy gems for pots.
I just want them to increase the item box size for F2P players like me (otherwise just fix the drop rate), able to stock up potions and invite friends in our list who are online to hunt together remotely.
Honestly the drop rate wouldn't bother me AT ALL if potions weren't such a paid item. It's the feeling of "choosing" to pay for fun and being "forced" to pay. If I could grind and get potions even if it were really hard, I wouldn't complain much. I also ONLY complain BECAUSE I love the game. If I didn't, I just would say nothing and stop playing haha.

@171sako Bro RIGHT on the nose haha. Read me like a book. No (YOU SHOULD PLAY THEM) we have a governing body called the guild and they make rules around hunting and what ranks hunters are allowed to challenge what. For the safety of the hunter AND the community. (Hunts that go bad result in powered up mons that attack villages.) Inside that there are other groups like the scriveneers and groups outside like the riders and the Anjanath cult. But mainly we all form small guilds or groups of our own and there isn't much competition or PVP. It's all jolly cooperation and PVE.
@@HuntersNotez oh thanks for the insight ! A bit of Pvp could mix things up though. Like the walking dead for example. After a while the zombies became more of a sad quest lol. Maybe we fight over parts lol
As a main LBG and Bow user there's something that really hit hard on my motivation for the game, and that's the 20% dmg reduction while hitting non-weak spots... Instead of punishing players they could have rather reduced the armor while using long range weapons by like 25%, even gaining value for Niantic by making us use more potions!! Imo the dumbest thing they have done to the game up to date.
"Instead of punishing players they could have rather reduced the armor while using long range weapons by like 25%, even gaining value for Niantic by making us use more potions!!" The 20% damage reduction on non-weak spots should only be a concern if you are a low skilled bow player who is getting by using the safety of distance while chipping at monsters from said distance. Why should that be rewarded? That's BS. Your suggestion of reducing armor on bow players is BS. They're the ones that are hiding from a distance, they don't even want to be hit to begin with.
@@TylerSmith-hq8en I get what you are trying to say, but it's not completely BS. Not every breakable part is a weak spot and monsters like Radobaan require you to hit a non-weak Spot before being able to hit one! Furthermore the piercing ammo doesn't allow you to hit a weak Spot with all ticks. I mean other than that the gameplay is still top Tier for mobile.
@@abian54 You can tell me all about the challenges of bow players forever but it is melee players that have to put their neck out far more often than range players and they have to attack certain parts of the monsters with even less reaction time of that a bow player that is hiding from a distance.
I'm glad I quit a month ago. Niantic needs to improve its games and their predatory monetizations. I also hope that more people quit this mobile crap so its profitability won't affect Monster Hunter 6
I wish you got rewards every time you level up your rank. Seems pointless to have it. Waiting on rarity 5 items to upgrade anything for the past month or so. Average a good 1 or 2 long walks a week. Still enioy the game and love the events. They are a reason to keep playing despite knowing I probably wont get the materials I need.
The upcoming event turn me off, it is a free game but still, Hunt-A-Thon is a joke.. its a hassle now to play once you are in 8* territory, I play everyday for the past few months, now I occasionally play, only on weekends will I play 6 hours or more, but hey #ReturnToWorld is a thing, been playing MHW:I and MHR:S everyday because of NOW.
I completely understand. I think it's still worth Trying the HAT though. It was so fun today. Just go in knowing you are going to lose and see it as a fun gameplay experience and not a "Ah man" experience because if you do it solo, you WILL lose.
_Quest: hunt a legiana_ _*opens map: nearest legiana is miles away_ is not a gameplay. it's just RNG & gambling 😡😡😡 eventually we'll all encounter that "wtf am i doing with my life" moments in MHN. for him it's standing in the middle of the rain, waiting for his health to regen. for me it's standing in the dark alleyway on 11:30pm, wondering if i should enter an abandoned property to get this one last anjanath that've been holding me for days, or i'd just get mugged and murdered for my phone. lucky people who often get their quest targets spawns near, have plenty of friends to hunt together with, probably live in downtown tokyo, etc. may enjoy this game. but for the rest of the world, it's just ain't realistic. sooner or later every MHN enthusiasts will go a step too far and encounter that "wtf am i doing with my life" moments. which is better than getting murdered. i don't have to remind you about pokego's casualty numbers. capcom's best selling game of all time monster hunter world is like $9 now on steam. if you're buying potions in MHN, you better off buying MHW. "but i don't have gaming pc 😭". monster hunter rise -which is the next best thing, is like $20, and will run on a potato. you wanna play it on the go? get a steamdeck, or play it on nintendo switch. we should be able to hunt monsters anywhere, anytime, with anyone, from the safety of our house. not in the middle of a rain, snow, scorching heat, blistering cold, gripping night, or an abandoned building that looks like it has either ghosts or drug dealers. it's been fun. i wish HN the best of luck with MH Wilds contents when it comes out.
I know we all like to draw our lines in the sand, but budgeting a small amount for the game, especially since you're making RUclips videos, wouldn't exactly be a bad thing. Like $20 a month, enough to buy a potion or 2 when you really need them. I doubt Niantic will change, they have never shown that in their history with their other games. So, is the principal of the thing worth having a crappy time playing the game? Because it doesn't look like you are having fun now.
I was waiting for you comment haha. I actually still have fun with it, but mainly because I love really hard challenges and I love going out and filming. Ideally, this will just make me a better player. I absolutely will make a budget for it, but I want them to change SOMETHING first. I'm THINKING about buying some raid tickets for the vids, but we'll see. I don't hate Niantic. Quite the contrary since I LOVE these style of games. But I need them to at least know this business model makes everyone angry lol. So I would LOVE to support them, but I don't want them to have the idea of "We're doing awesome!" haha. I agree with you though about them not changing since I've followed pogo since the beginning. I just don't understand why they love to be at odds with their playerbase in every game.
@@HuntersNotez I actually think the makers of this game are much more responsive to player feedback than the creators of Pokemon Go - those guys go out of their way to be antagonistic to their players. I attribute this to Capcom being heavily involved and that is the Japanese branch of Niantic that is working on the game, not headquarters in USA. They seem to adjust things quickly and give back readily when mistakes are made. That being said, they'll never change the financial structure or give ways to play more in a FTP manner. It's just not in their DNA 🧬. I spent a lot on Pokemon Go and am already spending probably too much on this game. But I enjoy playing, so just figure it's the cost of the hobby. Maybe that will change when Wilds comes out, but for now, I figure it is what it is. At least they don't take things away like PoGo did.

As an Instinct player I vibe with the Qualili yellow 😏 lol
Haha guess which team I am/was?
@@HuntersNotez lemme guess, head strong Valor? Btw not a main series MH player, but are there any factions at all?
@171sako Bro RIGHT on the nose haha. Read me like a book.
No (YOU SHOULD PLAY THEM) we have a governing body called the guild and they make rules around hunting and what ranks hunters are allowed to challenge what. For the safety of the hunter AND the community. (Hunts that go bad result in powered up mons that attack villages.)
Inside that there are other groups like the scriveneers and groups outside like the riders and the Anjanath cult.
"Instead of punishing players they could have rather reduced the armor while using long range weapons by like 25%, even gaining value for Niantic by making us use more potions!!"
The 20% damage reduction on non-weak spots should only be a concern if you are a low skilled bow player who is getting by using the safety of distance while chipping at monsters from said distance.
@@abian54
You can tell me all about the challenges of bow players forever but it is melee players that have to put their neck out far more often than range players and they have to attack certain parts of the monsters with even less reaction time of that a bow player that is hiding from a distance.
@@TylerSmith-hq8en Let's agree to disagree. 😁
R6 items are too hard to get
Exactly I can’t even rank up my weapons cause I never can find the parts I need
Bro, i'm not a nutritionist, but i think it isn't poggers to not eat for such a long period of time, my opinion though
I'm glad I quit a month ago. Niantic needs to improve its games and their predatory monetizations.
I also hope that more people quit this mobile crap so its profitability won't affect Monster Hunter 6
I doubt this game will affect mhwilds. But hey maybe it will.
Too me, I feel meh
_Quest: hunt a legiana_
_*opens map: nearest legiana is miles away_
is not a gameplay. it's just RNG & gambling 😡😡😡
eventually we'll all encounter that "wtf am i doing with my life" moments in MHN.
for him it's standing in the middle of the rain, waiting for his health to regen.
for me it's standing in the dark alleyway on 11:30pm, wondering if i should enter an abandoned property to get this one last anjanath that've been holding me for days, or i'd just get mugged and murdered for my phone.
lucky people who often get their quest targets spawns near, have plenty of friends to hunt together with, probably live in downtown tokyo, etc. may enjoy this game.
but for the rest of the world, it's just ain't realistic. sooner or later every MHN enthusiasts will go a step too far and encounter that "wtf am i doing with my life" moments.
which is better than getting murdered. i don't have to remind you about pokego's casualty numbers.
capcom's best selling game of all time monster hunter world is like $9 now on steam. if you're buying potions in MHN, you better off buying MHW.
"if you're buying potions in MHN, you better off buying MHW. "
Do we go into your personal life and tell you what to spend your money on? Far out.
@@nickthedestroyer Yeah I fully agree that Capcom clearly has a big hand and that's basically the reason I'm trying to be so vocal. I have some positive vids coming haha.
Can't wait to play wilds with you either way!
Just play monster hunter world man! wait for 2025 for WILDS!
I'll do both ✌
not really …going on 2 weeks now that ive just stopped playing
See my thing is the game has gotten too repetitive. You have actually so limited control in hunts and they all almost become how fast can you kill the monster. I've started watching mhw and mhr clips on tik tok because I miss the great plays.
😭
Monster hunter is literally the same thing even in the mainline 💀 all you do is hunt it’s in the name. The update to monsters being stronger sucks but the whole idea of the game is to just hunt monsters and collect their materials and improve your skill
@eli2210 I agree. I love mh for that. Just now is starting to feel stale compared to the flashier game play of worlds and rise.
@@PinValentine
At least I can get into the action of hunting monsters straight away on a mobile phone. With Monster Hunter console games you waste your time on crap like sharpening knives, crafting potions, etc.
