Honestly I think that is bad for the game because it leads to more willingness to surrender early and doesn’t incentivize you to try to win a losing game which in turn makes the game even more toxic. Always having a way back into a game seems like it would lead to a healthier community where maintaining good mental even in a bad situation gives you an advantage. But clearly riot would rather have “win harder” mechanics, than to enforce the idea that good teamwork and mental is beneficial to people who want to rank up.

Feats of Strength should absolutely not have First Blood as a condition for it, that will make snowballing pretty dangerous in this season considering you'd only need a single drake win if you have first blood versus the other team who needs to secure first tower and also three grubs without missing any.
I think first blood and first turret will no longer give extra gold. And they still need to get Herald + 3 Grubs, or 6 Grubs to count for a Feat of Strength with 1 Dragon.
The respawning turrets sounds amazing. It gives you a chance to win if you manage to hold out and defeat the enemies even if you have no turrets left. At least then a Shaco or some other champion going invisible or just someone using tp can't end the game too easily without much resistance Edit: I wonder how many Azir bugs there will be with these turrets, hopefully Riot will finally think to test everything thoroughly with Azir and the new turrets
@@Hclody95 What are you talking about? This change literally makes it so people DON'T turtle in their base and farm infinitely and encourages the losing team to play more aggressive. If you have 2 nexus towers down now, most teams will just turtle and farm minions and essentially slowly wait to die out. With respawning towers, they actually can push out and play aggressively without worrying about a backdoor and come back into the game.
honestly the entire issue with your edit is that riot doesnt test anything thoroughly, or at all, thats why we get all these broken ass champions on release that have little to no counterplay, they play like 1 game with the champ and if they dont encounter a bug they are like "yep, thats the champ, seems pretty good" and then they release them to PBE and everyone is like "bruh theres so many bugs" and then the champ goes to live and still has like 50% of the bugs that were on PBE, and new ones that somehow came to live that noone found on PBE because they werent there on PBE in the first place

The feats of strength seem really stupid to me. So you're just punished now for picking low impact early champions? Why? What's the point of ever picking scaling champions when you get extra buffs for picking early game champions and playing aggressive?
I think the honest to god reason for it, is simply because it fits the thematic of Noxus. Noxus is about domination and therefor snowballing. Feats of strenght encompass that trait perfectly.
if its going to be this way im thinking of dropping league for the season ngl, i dont enjoy oonga boonga go in league. i enjoy making good plays and teamfighting, rotating together to objectives and setting up. also like to scale up. if i want oonga boonga gameplay there's tons of games out there for that. i hate this era or gaming where all games are competing to be faster and flashier

The feats of strength now _replace_ the Gold rewards for those things. First Blood will no longer grant you any more gold than a normal kill, and First Tower won't give you a fat sack of cash anymore the free tier 2 upgrades to boots are only small stat buffs, the tier 3 boots cost 750 gold themselves and can't be purchased until you have two full legendary items purchased anyway basically it lowers the amount of early gold in the game in exchange for more options later on Unironically, this is kind of a nerf for snowballing unless it turns out the tier 3 boot upgrades are all giga-broken to some insane degree (fair enough, could happen, I guess we'll have to see on that tho)
The unique bonus cary on? I talk about Plates buts. Tier 3 buts have: 35 Armor, 50 MS, Unique - Reduces incoming damage from all basic attacks by 12% Unique - Physical shield for 10% Max HP for 5s (10s CD but most of the items get on CD after use, soo that shield CD after shield buff be gone is 5s, even faster cooldown than Eclipse) That a little overkill.
Everytime I think I might want to reinstall and play again, they implement more bad power creep/snowballing changes that remind me why I don't play anymore.
Rift herald spawn time being pushed back is nice since it was kinda annoying to get 6 grubs quick enough. Edit: Respawning Nexus Turrets sounds so nice, backdoors getting nerfed is good. -Domination rune replacements sound neat also, but also sounds complicated, might not last -Axiom arcanist, I can just SEE the Zwag builds.
First - infinite stacking ability haste (if you don't die while collecting the cinders/embers from Infernal drake) Now - Infinite stacking AD, 10% max hp shield ON BOOTS (let's just fucking make tanks even better than they are now again because we don't learn our lesson), and a way for teams to get even more of a lead (aka the stupid akshan revive for the team).
I was thinking about this. League for the first time ever is in a really good state. It feels like you have more agency when behind than you have ever had... And now they are adding more steamrolling mechanics.

THEN you lose, but at that point you deserve too. I don't think people should be able to come back from getting stomped into the dirt, it devalues the skill of the winning team and puts a greater emphasis on just playing scaling champs and dragging out the game for far too long.
@ no I agree you should be able to win, but I’m saying things like trying to solo carry or the 1-2 players that aren’t losing on the enemy team or that are even with their laners now have a much harder time playing from behind and trying to win. It just amplifies mistakes more and makes the game that much more toxic.
Multiplayer practice tool is so sick, I’ve been requesting it for ages. The only hope is that they’ll add in a ingame chrono break sudo save state, so teams can setup scrim environments around setups for objectives and situations rather than spending hours just setting up.

Honestly, the respawning Nexus Turrets are an undervalued change. I feel like there are not A LOT of games where that feature comes in good, but most of those games give you a bit more of a fighting spirit.
thats how its suppose to work no? u empower something to nerf something else. plus its not even that bad because if ur soo far behind that u can't even fight at objectives then it was doomed anyway
@ Giving Dragon to try to get more gold to catch up before next dragon, game isn’t doomed. Giving grubs to not get the opponents ahead by losing the fight and giving gold and possibly all the grubs anyways instead of playing for the next set, game isn’t doomed. Giving Baron and shoving waves to waste the effectiveness of baron buff, game isn’t doomed. Now there will be another objective to snowball the game with, game might be doomed. Every objective they add increases snowball potential. There are lots of spots where you can’t fight and the game isn’t doomed but if they add more of those potential points then games will be over by 20 minutes even if they aren’t actually over. I probably articulated my point pretty poorly but if you could understand it then good if not oh well.

Those nexus towers are useless. They get destroyed so easily by the time the enemy is diving you in your base, and these are so bad you can even see adc or assasin taking multiple 2 shots from the towers and not dying;therefore, it wobt make any difference
Surprisingly, most of these seem like pretty good changes to me. Some stuff is obviously questionable (the revive and additional snowball chances), but there are also quite a few 100% positives -- 1 ranked reset, multiplayer practice tool, revamped attempt at quickplay. And the things that are questionable don't seem inherently bad, just potentially difficult to balance.
I guess it's darius season. Lv1 beat there ass and run them down . Get turret fast. Its agro top lane season. Its easier to get first blood and first turret then get 3 objectives and a turret.
Honestly swift play sounds really cool. A more relaxed game mode But I wish they would keep quickplay in regions such as SEA. Draft pick only exists on certain times with barely anyone queueing for it. It hurts the smaller regions. People used to Swiftplay will get destroyed in ranked
True but to counter your last point. Anyone used to quickplay is new to the game and is going to get destroyed in ranked regardless. Sometimes starting the kids off on training wheels helps them get the confidence to keep playing when it feels tough.
I think they should the feats work in a way that allows for come backs. Instead of first team doing something, they should make first team to have a dragon, a tower, and a void monster for example. Making it first blood and first turret means that the team who gets first blood has a BIG advantage which promotes early game champs or weird skirmishes. They should make it so it a comeback is enough to get the buff. Also i am curious about tier three boots on Kallista, will she get even bigger dashes?

And I mean, this makes perfect sense, considering she becomes one of the best champs in the game just by hitting level 16.

people are complaining about the snowball potential but honestly, how boring are most games nowadays? you can be hard countered on lane but just take tp, resolve, biscuits, fleet, dorans shield and farm safely with a scaling champ and be a monster late game. snowballing is way more exciting since you feel actually rewarded for playing early well. this season was definitely mage and scaling favored (the two come hand to hand, too), and the next season will be more early game skewed, so most assasins will benefit from that, but not ONLY them, as snowball is good for every champion. I really dislike the way league is now, its very much updated for proplay I feel, since all the fun mechanics are being removed (oneshots, healing, speed, cheesy tactics) and I hope riot will actually bring some of them back. the changes are definitely not perfect (revive) but im optimistic about them.

IDK how I feel about the boots. Its a cool idea, but it will make bad boots like Ionians even worse since (thats what I at least assume) the stats increase will be based on the normal boots stats. For example: Ionian give only 10AH. The stats from the upgraded boots will probably only give 5AH (thats on the higher side, but it may as well be 3AH if Riot is not opposed to put weird numbers into the game). Steelcaps as we have seen give additional 5 armour which is arguably worth more than 5AH on AH stacking champs in late game. The value of AH diminishes the more AH you get which means that even tho 5 AH is priced at 250 Gold (at low AH the value is more like 300 Gold) the real gold value of the 5 AH increase of Ionians for AH stacking champs in late game will be like 50 Gold (you barely lower your cooldowns once you hit a substantial amount of AH)? I dont know how in the world they are going to balance this out with "diminishing" returns mechanic of AH. And before someone starts crying that resistances also give diminishing returns let me remind you that its 100x more likely that someone buys Steelcaps / Mercs as their only defensive item than someone buying Ionians as their only AH item - Ionians are typically bought by AH stacking champs. The only option I see to make Ionians ever viable is the additional effect you get from tier 3 is far superior over other boots, but seeing what the additional passive on Steelcaps gives I doubt that will happens. In other words caster champs get yet again fckd over.
AH has always been a problem to balance whether it's zed with 5 shadows up or gragas impregnating you it really needs a rework or a heavy removal to make it more scarce on general
@@bruhmoment9429 That was not an AH related issue, but rather a Mythic items issue. There was simply to much AH in the game in the item sets of specific classes (thats how we ended up with AD Mage Zed spamming W like its URF - btw it was an intentional design choice by Riot to make Assassin spam their abilities after the Mythic item rework). As for Gragas it was a troll build that Walrus played against low elos. They removed it so people dont get baited and troll games. Either way AH is right now quite well balanced, but Ionians are objectively really bad right now and will get only worse with the tier 3 boots upgrades effectively turning them into a bait item (tbf they already are for AH stacking champs, they are somewhat ok for champs that dont get more circa 60AH in total).

Hell, even when you watch pro-games you will spot Pros building absolute garbage, meaning opting into default builds when it completely doesn't fit what they are facing in the enemy team, what they have in their own team or what game stage and situation is (this is something that LS mentions a lot). Sure, maybe if I put it in more games I might slightly improve mechanically, but I doubt thats enough :P The skill difference between a D2/D1 player and a 200LP Master player is big btw and having a brain for items is not enough of a compensation to make up for the lack of mechanical skill :P
I still don' understand if all of these changes(new epic monster, trials of strenght and turret respawn) will be permanent (unless removed cause too broken), so even for season 2, 3 and the next years, or will just be a seasonal thing, so just for the noxus themes season and later next year we'll see new mechanics with other seasons...

Talon,Draven, Lee Sin are gonna be OP
agreed, stuff like first blood should not be counted because it's way to easy to score.

The respawning turrets sounds amazing. It gives you a chance to win if you manage to hold out and defeat the enemies even if you have no turrets left. At least then a Shaco or some other champion going invisible or just someone using tp can't end the game too easily without much resistance
Edit: I wonder how many Azir bugs there will be with these turrets, hopefully Riot will finally think to test everything thoroughly with Azir and the new turrets
It also gives a better incentive to play aggressive as winning team
very amazing, reward people for doing nothing camping the tower all game and punish people for playing better early/mid gamr

This, quickplay is the only casual mode in our sg server, kinda making ranked is the only normal match to play
I think they should the feats work in a way that allows for come backs. Instead of first team doing something, they should make first team to have a dragon, a tower, and a void monster for example. Making it first blood and first turret means that the team who gets first blood has a BIG advantage which promotes early game champs or weird skirmishes. I'm loving the changes, especially the swiftplay, it'll be a better warm-up than ARAM. Also can play that while waiting for friends to finish their games.
I love when riot does this every few years when everything gets upended. Then by the end of the season we've reverted closer to season 3 than when we started
I keep saying that League of Legends Season 3 was an example of peak League of Legends, fun and exciting. League is now Chess with Feats of Strength

Wait, so what you're saying is, when my bot feeds and/or jg gets gapped or is a tourist I can lose even faster? Thanks Riot, I knew I could always count on you.
Btw. I can't be the only one who sees that they're changing League into WIldrift, right?
The Jungle role looks crazy strong with the new Focus on obejctives
As someone who has started playing Dota 2 recently (Turbo only) I must say, a lot of these changes feel like "dota" things. No hate, just funny to see
All LOL is copying DOTA since i learn how the new champions are based in older DOTA ones
Like the paint wizard of combos is based on some other wizard
@@Morfe02 Yeah, but Hwei is pretty simple when compared to Invoker.
The latest hero in dota could be argued to be a melee version of Aphelios (2 weapons etc)
YES I'M SO HYPE FOR SWIFTPLAY BRO. I want a gamemode where instead of 40 minute max build, it's 20 minutes max build.
IDK how I feel about the boots. Its a cool idea, but it will make bad boots like Ionians even worse since (thats what I at least assume) the stats increase will be based on the normal boots stats.
For example:
Ionian give only 10AH.
@@bohomazdesign725 if they are just objectively bad why do people build them over other boots genuine question
@@bruhmoment9429 Because people sck at building as the fundamentos guy himself (AloisNL - EUW / KR Chall) admitted that most people even in High Elo just stick to whatever they know at least somewhat works. He literally said that he himself is illiterate in terms of items. He will not experiment, because he has no clue how to read items or do a cost / benefit analysis. Hell, even when you watch pro-games you will spot Pros building absolute garbage, meaning opting into default builds when it completely doesn't fit what they are facing in the enemy team, what they have in their own team or what game stage and situation is (this is something that LS mentions a lot). Yes, what Im saying is that even the best sck at some things. Its just how the world works :P We are human beings and all of have their flaws unless you are Faker. For myself I can say that I just sck mechanically and I will probably never make it out of High Diamond. Sure, maybe if I put it in more games I might slightly improve mechanically, but I doubt thats enough :P The skill difference between a D2/D1 player and a 200LP Master player is big btw and having a brain for items is not enough of a compensation to make up for the lack of mechanical skill :P
The only major issue will be the SEA merging. Like PH,INDO,THAI, etc
It will be a total chaos and server issues for sure.
Dude my infinitive ah rhaast build will cook SO FUCKING HARD NOW
Dude I'm gonna get axiom arc ITEM AND RUNE?
LETS GOO?!
Cause i mean, this will probably also affect competitive play a lot
I'm just sad they're removing the zombie ward subrune, it basically carries me when I play "support" (ap champ w supp item for vision.)
thanks to this maybe you are gonna play real supports in the botlane and mages in mid!
@@annaduszewska7911You mean Morgana or Lux? Nice-nice, but it's damage sups as well
@@imp_raziel yeah, lux is a midlaner. Morgana used to be one as well untill onr proplayer started playing her as a support so yes she is a support. But velkoz, xerath? They arent supports. They are midlaners that cant farm so they came into the botlane to steal kill and cs if they can take it or they make adc miss them. Support means you are gonna help your team not steal every posible kill ans cs in the game. You are there to give vision, help in fights, roam on some champions and so on, and so on. I dont think I ever senn a good xerath or velkoz support or at least a decent one. Mages dont bring any utility to the game witch is support role all abaut. Maybe you dont do dmg- but you help out your team by warding, peeling, cc'ing etc. Utility can win a game and another carry way less likely.
@@annaduszewska7911 You can help with damage and control. Lux have even small shield, Morgana can provide very great stuns + beautiful shield that can cancel enemy control. Velkoz? Again, have control, Brand too. Even Victor can be badass sup. Don't be undeniable and open your mind )
@@imp_raziel yes sure, they can be usefull but they arent. I dont think i ever seen a good mage support. Sure if you can play them- play them. If you enjoy them- play them. But they arent real support. Btw enchnters have better shields and most of the time better cc. also enchnaters do dmg earlie and thdy do fall of late but they can peel adc helping him to shine and carry. And tanks are just always wonderfull. Velkoz cc is soooo awfull and unrelieble on. Brand stun is ok, same with lux q. Morgana have cc sure but she has hard cc only on ult wich is annoying. Viktor is ummmm well have a very unreliable cc on base ability but hes r does indeed stop channelings etc but it aint hard cc eaither. Morgana shields is usefull but morgana needs to be good to know when and on who to use it. Lux shields dosent realy exist even when tou have a lot of ap. And yes lux e does give vision but lets be honest- no luxes uses her e for vision. Happens to me when i play her mid but from what i can see i never saw another lux uses it to check bushes etc. Couse why spend mana when you can face check and die! But okay whatever. Mages can be opresive earlie but they fall off late as well couse in the botlane they shuldnt farm nor take the kills so theirs gold income is very low same with expirience so they are falling off too.
The boots changes are 100% getting nerfed. The nexus turrets are a really good idea tho
This is the first time I haven't been excited for a new season. Most of the changes feel like tedious gimmicks. Yikes.

I feel like 2 ranked resets was the optimal amount. 3 was too much, but only 1 wasn't great either
I hope they fix the minions being bugged when resetting game in practice tool. Resetting the match only feels fine for jungle, but every reset bugs the minions more and more.
Im interested to see how the TP changes are going to be implemented. TP is arguiably the most powerful summ right now and needs to be tapped down a bit, but at the same time, it will be impossible to use the spell in a game against a map aware Taliyah or Veigar if the champ is not unstoppable during their TP dash
It sounds like it will be similar to the hexgates. I imagine in that case you will be untargettable and unstoppable, it's just that by adding travel time, teleport will be more reactable the further away you're tping from (speed buffed once unleashed), or at least that's my hope. It would be silly if you could intercept it
