I got a similar one of these a year ago for 600 bucks and I’ve put thousands of hours on it. All I did was upgrade RAM to 16GB and put 2TB storage in it.
An HP Pavilion was my first half-decent PC. It had a dual core AMD fusion CPU with dedicated graphics. Dual core, 2.7 GHz, 4 gigs of ram that I upgraded to 8, and a 1TB HDD. I have a soft spot for the line. Glad these things are still around and still viable!
I had an hp h8-1020 back in the day that wasn't too bad. i7-2600s, 8gb of ram and an hd 6570 gpu. Was decent out of the box, but after I while I found out the hard way that it only supported 8gb of ram, only supported s model processors which are low power versions, and had secure boot baked into it that you could not turn off so it only worked with the hd 6570 it came with or a gtx 660ti. Wouldn't even boot if you tried any other gpus with it.
Support for future upgrades is usually a problem with these. Proprietary parts and locked component choices is a problem you'll get with these generic brands often. GPU choices are limited by the proprietary PSU and bios options/support is limited and hardly changes.
It has a few options. The PSU is actually 400w Platinum plus so it performs like a 500w Gold. The 8643 motherboard takes up to a 3700x cpu. Ram is easy too adjust using Ryzen Master. Support speed is 3200mhz dual channel. And you can use a 2060 GPU. There’s 2 issues. A. Temperatures are decent and not high but it is a tighter case so airflow is restricted somewhat. B. Ram Speed is just now starting too fall behind the times.
@@mj-7444 it says that it has 2 Dimm slots so does that mean I can add 32 gigs of ram or do 2x 8gigs of ram also I was going to upgrade the 1650 to a 2060 with a 4tb Barracuda or should I just do 2tb just to be safe

I bought the RTX 3060, Ryzen 5 5600G, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD configuration on sale for about $600. I'm in Europe so the price comparison might be a little off, just know that a similar build normally is double that here. Runs everything effortlessly. I was worried about overheating, but it's fine. Not great, but fine. It's a great PC for someone who doesn't plan on upgrading much and is on a budget.
I bought a similar one early last year, but it has the AMD Ryzen 5 3500 and GTX 1650 Super. It's been one of the best pre-built machines I've ever bought.
Bought one of these for really cheap off of a friend, swapped out the 1650 super with the gigabyte windforce rtx 4060 and got the RAM up to 32gb dual channel, it's such a cool little sleeper pc for 1080p gaming and the 4060 runs well even with the 400w PSU, temps stay cool and everything runs on ultra settings 1080p. The only real drawbacks are the PSU and the slower RAM but if you're on a budget there are some good options to make this into a little powerhouse if you don't care about 4k gaming.
If it's the same as my TG01 as it looks to be. HP has a 500w psu that will fit that machine. They recommend the highest as 3700x for amd. I have this pc and it’s good all you gotta do is get like 16 ram which I have and better storage which I haven’t done yet cuz I don’t really play games that require a bunch of storage. But I will eventually.
The "HP Pavilion TG01-2176z | Ryzen 7 5700G + RTX 3060" is a MUCH better buy as well as a significant performance boost. I have this CPU/GPU configuration in an ASUS pre-built. I can't speak for HP but the Asus setup allows for aggressive overclocking on both RAM and CPU and will require a larger CPU air-cooler for the overclock. As Toasty Bros mentioned HP tends to be too 'proprietary' and may not allow as much flexibility as an Asus or other options. The reason I mention this is the 5700G is only 65W TDP but aggressively overclocked you can come REALLY REALLY close to a 5800X CPU that uses 105W TDP. Even though the 5700G has HALF the L3 cache in gaming with the aggressive overclock FPS is only 2-5 lower than a 5800X in MANY MANY games and with the cooler upgrade ($50) runs MUCH cooler than the 5800X which tends to run WARM as it is with NO overclock. You'll NEVER notice 2-5FPS or even 10FPS! I know! Many people are going to bitch here as the 5700G is PCIE 3.0 where the 5800X is PCIE 4.0 but if you actually delve deep into comparisons this is little to no difference in gaming performance. Also, any Ryzen CPU LOVES dual channel RAM (16GB) and with the proper Mother-board you can use 3600MHz+ if timed correctly will also boost performance even though ALL 5000 series Ryzen CPU's 'say' they only support 3200MHz. I do CAD work as well and had to upgrade to 32Gb of RAM and I opted for dual channel 3600MHz which I tweaked in the bios and it really makes a difference in CAD and gaming.
Nice PC, good balanced and not crazy overpriced, if getting this as a gaming PC, need to upgrade storage right away.

Great video ❤️ Guys do you think that an i3-12100F paired with a 6700XT will bottleneck? The price difference between the 6650XT and the 6700XT isn't that huge in my country. Thanks
No it wont.
I recommend upgrade to a i5 12400f
1630 fsr 1.0 and 2.0 bench mark with a 4100?
I have this pc and it’s good all you gotta do is get like 16 ram which I have and better storage which I haven’t done yet cuz I don’t really play games that require a bunch of storage. But I will eventually.
What display was used with the pavillion?
Can you please do a 800$ budget build
Hey Toasty Bros, you guys should put Multiversus from stream because it is free to play and fun.
