Near to my house there was a wet land that was turned into a pond via a dam. They removed the dam to try and restore the natural habitat. BUT there was a family of beavers who decided that wasn't happening and rebuilt the dam XD

Beaver hats actually last forever. While I would *never* buy a new one, I inherited a 100 percent beaver felt cowboy hat that is at least 40 years old from my late father. It is higher quality and in better shape than any new hats I've seen in Western/cowboy stores in my adult life time.

Hmm, I guess I could be bi as long as sexual attraction isn't the marker... I just don't like the male body but a funny, smart, friendly, person is just a person, male or female.
Just like people usually talk of homosexual and heterosexual, there are homoromantic and heteroromantic. It gets more complicated than that but you should know that everything is a spectrum and one's sexual and other orientations don't have to align. Use what label you feel comfortable with. There are plenty to choose from. Or make one up, whatever works for you. It's also okay to change from one label to another whenever you feel the need or use different labels in different situations. It can all be pretty fluid and the Kinsey scale can't tell you much. Too bad that we humans like to put things into neat little boxes, usually two of them ("male or female"). Must suck to have such limited mental capacity. ;P

PCOS means you have higher levels of testosterone and lower levels of oestrogen perhaps that in itself could impact on attraction/sexuality, I mean if you have high testosterone you are going to be more competitive/assertive and so perhaps you want to be the pursuer/initiator and even be more equal if not be in charge which wouldn't work so well if your a straight woman going out with a man?

Genetically speaking, there are over 900 genes that influence your sleeping patterns and circadian rhythm. So I'd hazard there are probably more than a couple thousand genes that govern your sexuality. I thought they had discovered homosexuality was triggered, epigenetically, by elevated cortisol levels in mothers during their second trimester of pregnancy? Which makes complete sense to me, if you are pregnant and living in a threatening or dangerous environment you'd probably not want your offspring reproducing in that environment and it would be better to avoid having offspring until they are in a safer more secure environment.
I hadnt heard that. I would imagine however having elevated cortisol would do messed up things to the baby's immune system so it wouldnt necessarily be the safest way of doing business

The first act with Stevie seemed to run out of steam very quickly, requiring the beaver segment to go over-long to compensate. DIdn't hear much science about Lesbian sexuality, just rustling through some musty papers the viewers can't see regarding conjectures on the evolutionary benefits of homosexuality. Seemed like Hank was uncomfortable getting into the meatier topic of Lesbian sexual behavior, which I thought was to be the main topic. When the conversation kept awkwardly veering away from the main subject, it was time to call for an early entrance by the beaver. Not an enjoyable show. Too much unaddressed subtext.
I'll agree that it felt awkward. Sex is hard to talk about, and the flow of the conversation felt stilted. I couldn't help feeling that Stevie would have been able to have a more natural conversation if it was with another woman, and Hank had a hard time being to transition between points smoothly. Interesting effort, but I didn't dig it. Meanwhile, OMG BABY BEAVER
I mean, Lindsay from sexplanations has been on before and talked about sex stuff on Sci Show Talk Show, so it's not simply the general topic of sex nor the sexes of the presenters that makes this awkward.
I'll be honest, I tried to give the first half a chance, but I ended up skipping through to Huckleberry. Had they actually stuck on the proposed topic, I might have been more interested, but they kept veering off and just throwing awkward jabs and comments that I just couldn't keep watching. And come on, they ain't got nothin on a baby beaver.
Not a great episode, but Huckleberry still made it worth the time.
