I flew SAS from SFO last month and it was a great experience. Every single person we dealt with from flight attendants to gate agents were very gracious and the service was excellent. I hope to fly with them again on my next European trip.
I work for SAS and I must say that feels good to read some of this comments. For me SAS has the best passengers I’ll not change you for anything guys ! 😁
@@martineriksson Wrong. SAS was formed between The national carriers of Norway, Sweden and Denmark in 1946. Historically it’s just as much Danish as Swedish. However now that Denmark is the only country with shares left, it certainly isn’t Swedish 😂 The CEO Anko van der Werff isn’t danish he is Dutch.
SAS's A320s are really good, too. I flew on one from AMS to CPH not long ago. The sharklets were even bigger than the ones on the A350, and the overall inflight experience was excellent.
I often fly the same plane, different route though. I would only have your experience if the aircraft was actually operate by SAS, its often operated by another carrier such as citijet. While the cabin is the same, the service is not nearly up to par for what was supposed to be a premium airline 10 years ago.
Flew SAS twice just a couple days ago out of OSL to EWR and back to CHP in Business. Once A330 and A321XLR. Experience was good, nothing amazing but also nothing bad. Hard product really good, soft product was okay. But amazing Lounge in CHP with full bedrooms to sleep and full bathrooms !
That looked like a real quality flight to me. The food looked yummy and was presented very well. Full marks to SAS for going the extra mile, especially with their catering. I'd love to fly on them one day.
Please keep Starlux Airlines in mind, they plan on starting Taipei TPE - Los Angeles LAX in Lunar New Year 2023! I heard it's an exceptional and premium airline! They have an all-Airbus fleet and will probably use the A350 to fly the route, if not the A330-900.
Flew a SAS a350 a couple months ago from CPH-EWR. A really good long haul product and great crew. An unoccupied middle seat definitely helped there too
Glad you enjoyed it, short haul flights on their A320's have become really great as well. Lets hope they can keep it up amongst all the economic problems!
The A350 is a beautiful plane, but i prefer the 787 over the atlantic, mostly down to the dimming and huge windows! The sharklets look stunning on the A350
I agree with you about the meal, I'd not mind having only 1 choice for meal if the meal is high-quality like on this flight. It seems to be a good flight with SAS.
I am genuinely surprised that they don't offer two-walkway boarding for 747s. In Japan (and probably a few other places), they offered two walkways for boarding 767s and 777s (probably also 747s, although I didn't fly on that on my trip). I see there is a second one there, ostensibly for loading A380s, but I can't tell if it can be lowered for use with other aircraft.
The Korean Air 747 was stunning. I recently returned from a two week trip to Korea and I'm desperate to go back, I'd kill to fly on their 747 but sadly they don't service any European countries with it which is a real shame.
I was considering SAS for a flight to LAX mostly because of their competitive prices. However, their connections are terrible and having 2 layovers over 8hrs in Stockholm and Copenhagen was eventually a deal breaker. They need to have a good look of their scheduling...
great job! however..was wondering if the camera used to film this was the one that got stolen from your rental car when you went to the baseball game? did you find it or just the memory card? thanks again for your great job on the reviews!
Looked pretty reasonable service, would like to of had a choice for dinner, but the breakfast looked good in comparison to most European economy airlines. SAS seem to be raising their standards.
Thank you for sharing your flight. And that was good if you are sitting in Economy Class on a long-haul flight to have that extra legroom in the Exit Row Area. For me short of having a Business Class or Premier Class seat on long-haul, that extra legroom seat gives you more room for your legs.
Nice meal offerings. I flew Lufthansa YYZ to MUC last week. Dinner was macaroni and mystery meat with a salad and a roll. Breakfast was a muffin, a roll and a melon based fruit salad.
Nice video, and the food looked much better than other economy offerings. I’m surprised that SAS didn’t manage to eliminate even more plastics from their meal trays, but I guess they’re are making a start.
Thanks for sharing. Good to know that SAS offer limited food choices on board so always order a special meal if you have specific dietary requirements.
Thanks for the review! SAS is my home airline, and the one I fly the most. The thing about SAS on long haul is this: In business, it beats most products across the atlantic. However, in my opinion, if you're flying economy you're better off with Swiss, Austrian or even Lufthansa. Can't even get a free beer in economy on SAS. It's basically a "no frills" full service carrier, which doesn't really makes sense.
I actually understand the logic of not offering free beer in economy. What bugs me is when I fly in business class and I still have to pay for WiFi, or even access to the airline's lounge. When I pay more, I expect more.
@@JBM425 Wifi is what SAS really does well. Free fast wifi if you are flying SAS plus, their premium economy offering, or higher. You also get free wifi if you are a SAS gold member which is great as well.
at 13m 45s you are flying directly over the Road to the ferry towards Jylland, Sjællands Odde, a really nice place actually. used the ferry from there quite a bit :)
Hi I love watching your flight reports but have one question, what can you suggest to get decent sleep in economy class seats? I’m 5’7” and simply cannot sleep well without a very sore bum, and I have to fly long haul twice yearly. I even tried premium economy which was slightly better.
Regarding meals, that simplifies food prep and reduces costs by having only one meal option, but do they have options for vegetarians, vegans, or others with dietary issues that can be ordered in advance? I agree that one excellent meal is preferable than several lousy ones; I was impressed by the portion sizes.
Can you do a tripreport on the Lynx Air Airplane in Canada. This airplane only operates in Canada. You will love it because the beauty and the comfy of those seats
A lot of things might take a while to return to pre-pandemic standards. Because of monetary losses during the pandemic, I have a feeling that SAS (and other carriers) may trim costs where they can or maintain some of the pandemic cost-saving measures such as the portion size of meals or having the cold meat and cheese tray instead of a hot breakfast.
Oh your seat would be so good for me, i always want window seat but its usually uncomfortable, because i am almost 2 meters tall, but this window seat with extra legroom would be perfect for me! :D
The entire itinerary is priced at 155 euros or 1555 euros? Sometimes I notice prices that you write on your channel are illogical for carriers, or this price is exceptional for you?
That meal is better than the ones I had on Singapore Air flight from LAX to SIN(SQ 35 15 hours nonstop). I had the beef with polenta. It was awful and mostly cheap cuts of meat with fat and gristle. I ended up just eating the polenta.
Felicitaciones, muy buen video. Me encantaría que liberaran los subtítulos en otros idiomas, creo que seríamos muchos más quienes los verían. Un abrazo
As long as you can still request special beg or vegan meals beforehand, i'm happy with the reduced food waste and consistent quality of a single meal choice!

I flew SAS back in 2019 and had a very pleasant experience with them. The Copenhagen airport is also beautiful.
Thank you for presenting the facts and not letting personality into it. I like it when the experience speaks for itself.
My mom, who’s half-Swedish says that whenever she steps on an SAS flight, she feels like she’s home
Sure, I feel the same when I'm travelling home to my own country The Netherlands with KLM. Once in the plane, I'm home already.
That makes three of us. There’s nothing more welcoming after a long trip abroad, than the greetings of a British Airways flight attendant!
mannn it feels the same when i traveled from abroad back to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with Malaysia Airlines
Same nothing makes me feel like I'm back in the US after stepping onto Spirit airlines
