Food for thought. The techno buffalo website home page loads up different content everytime you go to the page. If you notice the side by side comparison the two pages were different thus allowing for inaccurate test. both pages seem to have different amounts of data sizes. You need to run the comparison on a website that is consistent every time. You can still show off your website for the flash test.
You did forget one thing on the EVO's keyboard, it has navigation keys as well. I you do happen to mess up when typing a message, just tap close to where you need to correct and then go the correct direction with the arrows, instead of tapping 50 times to get the cursor where you want it.
Nice little overview but I really wished you would've shown more speed tests, especially focusing on the UI by scrolling through the 7 panels. When I tried them both out, I felt like the Incredible was a little snappier in switching to panels and such. I've been wanting to see this in action side by side.
@Orlyowl8 I think he said its because when your outside TFT is pretty good against the sun where as the one on the incredible is hard to see in direct sunlight
@maxvandewiele i can make up stats for phones also. but truthfully...iphone 4 has 3 axis gyro, retina display and video editing capabilities on the evo. when the evo has hdmi output, video chat over 3g/4g/wifi (iphone 4 only on wifi), flash, 4g service, free app marketplace, free navigation bigger screen (which in my opinion makes up for the retina display) the list goes on. Plus by the evo is out now, and by the time the iphone 4 comes out there will be another android phone that will be....
so one question. how does updating softwares in android work? I know they keep coming up with zillions of incredible devices, but once you have one of them, how do you update the software. For example, Android 2.2 comes out. Does it depend solely on manufacturer of the phone? I mean for iPhone users, we can just plug it into iTunes. Just curious since Android definitely have potential.
@Alm2nd you have the incredible? I want to get this phone but I am unsure if I can buy it in the version store? I saw i can pre order it online, but I want it know, lol. Help?
If you get the evo 4g, do you absolutely have to use Sprint, is it not possible to use another provider whilst operating the phone, and do you always have to be in the US to use it.
@tnmjd13 Yeah, I'm not sure why it looks all washed out like that. Is it the lighting in the room or maybe the viewing angle? I really wish the camera was at a straight angle in this.
@WhenImLyingInYourBed Engadget did a full in depth review of it, they were shocked at how well the battery did. They took the Evo that was already off the charger for 2 hours, and used it as a 4G hotspot for several hours and it still had a decent amount of battery left afterwards.. go read the review.
Ok the screen size on the Evo is wonderful! I do notice the low signal that both phones are getting..I wonder if thats the hardware or software..hopefully its software and can be fixed with the Froyo update. I've had Sprint and Verizon before and never had problems with the signal strength...I have my Evo and I love it!
@WhenImLyingInYourBed I use my Evo every day. Yesturday I used it off the charger non stop for about 7 and a half to 8 hours, and still had about 40% battery remaining. Why would I lie about the battery, what could I possibly gain for doing that?
I have watched a bunch of your reviews, I agree with some and question others. One thing that would save time would be to Bookmark your favorite web pages that you keep typing in manually. Also running Task Killer does not keep the apps killed, some will turn back on when your doing your tests and slow that phone down.
amoled looks better for me but i'am looking forward to iphone 4 review Jon. o and i was one of your first viewers back when you first got your original macbook pro keep up the good work! O and i just got a new 15 inch i5 macbook pro 2.53ghz.
Yeah I never thought it'd be an issue, but the Evo is kind of the verge of simply being too big. In fact after handling the Evo, I think a 4.0 or 4.1" screen might be the sweet spot. Evo is literally half tablet lol.
@phelps7128 I'm thinking that the weather hasn't been updated recently on one of the phones. Either that or Sprint and Verizon get their weather from different sources.
@DrwcMichel same here, i live in west virginia and i dont even know of a sprint store. WV is already spotty but verizon and att are the only cell carriers i know of.

something kinda strange i noticed. both weather widgets are set to the same city yet they are 2 degrees different

When is the HTC Incredible vs Droid X review coming out?
Why does the EVO think the weather is 2 degrees higher?
why is it that both phones for the same location show different temperatures ?
You can instantly see the difference in color sharpness thanks to the OLED screen of the Incredible.
is it a bad angle or is the htc screen worse?
Thanks for the review John, I saw your phone said Irvine, on the weather app; I go to church near you. Keep the reviews coming...
I LIKE WHEN YOU TURN AN IPHONE INTO PORTRAIT MODE, THE SCREEN TURNS WITH THAT ANIMATION THING.
you should have mentioned the price and how sprint charges more for the 4G service and how verizon service is in alot more places then sprint
Question: Why do they show different temperatures?
why didnt you mentioned the EVO 8-megapixel on the back
Did anyone notice the battery draw on the EVO vs. the Incredible. It's dying twice as fast.
Never got why he doesnt use the voice to text on the android tests.
@Soonerball09 I think there are 2 driods im not sure but Driod 2 specs leaked today and it runs on a 750MHz OMAP processor
Isn't HD youtube pointless on a phone with a resolution of 480?
If you own the HTC evo 4g, do you have to use Sprint as your provider, can you use T-Mobile to make calls etc. for example?
@Orlyowl8 I think he said its because when your outside TFT is pretty good against the sun where as the one on the incredible is hard to see in direct sunlight

the colors definitely looks more vibrant on the droid incredible with amoled screen

Droids colours look better or is that cause of the evos big screen
jon whenever u get the iphone 4 u need to put it up against the evo cuz im stuck on what to choose
Plz someone cant tell me , htc evo how much is the bill, for this cell phone, every month?
Apparently the weather is different on the evo than the incredible as well!
@Alm2nd you have the incredible? I want to get this phone but I am unsure if I can buy it in the version store? I saw i can pre order it online, but I want it know, lol. Help?
@DiClivity pretty sure it was built to be a competitor in the smart phone industry, (yes it is more then just the iphone)
On the EVO 4G it's 68° and on the Incredible 66° ... why is there a difference?
i like how the temperatures for the weather are different
seems the incredible is a little chilly, by about 2 degrees.
shouldve mentioned the mobile hotspot feature...
If you get the evo 4g, do you absolutely have to use Sprint, is it not possible to use another provider whilst operating the phone, and do you always have to be in the US to use it.
@DiClivity um... there are no ties between this phone/service and microsoft
how is it 68 degrees on evo and 66 on droid
why on the evo has 68 degrees and on the droid it says 66 degree
@tnmjd13 Yeah, I'm not sure why it looks all washed out like that. Is it the lighting in the room or maybe the viewing angle? I really wish the camera was at a straight angle in this.
i love how the temperatures are different.
sorry I missed the battery life difference? how do the compare ???
Seem to have forgotten about the 8GB of internal memory on the Incredible
r u getting the new iphone 4 ?
@WhenImLyingInYourBed

@JoeyandLindsay well i just assumed an unlimited plan meant unlimited without paying an extra $10 to make it an "unlimited unlimited" plan.
To get the HTC EVo 4g, do you have to be with Sprint, can't you buy it and put in your own SIM card?
Ok the screen size on the Evo is wonderful! I do notice the low signal that both phones are getting..I wonder if thats the hardware or software..hopefully its software and can be fixed with the Froyo update. I've had Sprint and Verizon before and never had problems with the signal strength...I have my Evo and I love it!
wouldn't it be just loading from the cache?
@Alm2nd what wireless service will the droid X will be under?
I didn't know Seth Green made comparison videos in his spare time. ;)
Whoa! Jon's sounding extra spunky today :D.
Awesome video as always ^^
which of the carriers in the US is better in terms of coverage and call quality? Thx for the response :P
man i see the evo's kickstand being used both ways so many times which is right? they can't both be right
@WhenImLyingInYourBed
I use my Evo every day. Yesturday I used it off the charger non stop for about 7 and a half to 8 hours, and still had about 40% battery remaining. Why would I lie about the battery, what could I possibly gain for doing that?
you like tft better??? are you colorblind?
How long is the battery life on the evo?
I like how they display 2 different temperatures!
Funny how they don't even show the same temperature o.O
I have watched a bunch of your reviews, I agree with some and question others. One thing that would save time would be to Bookmark your favorite web pages that you keep typing in manually. Also running Task Killer does not keep the apps killed, some will turn back on when your doing your tests and slow that phone down.
Don't you notice that the evo says 68 degrees and the incredible says 66 degrees and they both say irvine
amoled looks better for me but i'am looking forward to iphone 4 review Jon. o and i was one of your first viewers back when you first got your original macbook pro keep up the good work! O and i just got a new 15 inch i5 macbook pro 2.53ghz.

jon u sound so happy, makes me wanna jump for joy.
@XYMan288 Lol...What is Droid OS? I heard of Android only.
what proccesor does evo 4g have?
@phelps7128 I'm thinking that the weather hasn't been updated recently on one of the phones. Either that or Sprint and Verizon get their weather from different sources.
I think he should cut out the parts where he is typing. Would shorten the video length a bit.
how many phones u have
@BritishRider yo do know that the 2.1 update for the hero came out a while ago
@Dmon1999 It depends on the sync settings. One may be delayed more than the other.
@maxvandewiele You should listen to the little red bar underneath spelling errors
so which one is the winner??
@FRAGNUB4FUN does it matter if the temperature is different?
HTC reminds me of that old expression. "thow enought shit at the wall and hopefully something will stick."
okay, ill keep that in mind. thx for reminding us every 10 secs
@MercenarySlick but the incredible has a better camera which is 8mp whereas the desire has a 5mp camera
why htc desire doesnt have the voice input buttom
@TheBigShel How does he have a good eye if the stupid phone is huge?
@nawkrm: you can't pinch to zoom with one hand? I do, with my thumb and middle finger...
You sound like Mike from James and Mike Mondays on Cinemassacre
incredible records 720p so ?????????
@AllStarDeal79 He can't edit that out and just skip ahead? I don't understand why he can't do that.
@wifi32 One probably hasn't been refreshed for awhile. By default I think it's every 2 hours.
@AsafAvramovich: what do you mean buy "not capable of setting up anything" I'm sure I can set up plenty of things...
problem is 1 phone cant make me sign a 2 year contract because that phone will be hot for like 3 months tops!
i think the funniest part was trying to cue up techno buffalo, that shit was hilarious.
@DrwcMichel same here, i live in west virginia and i dont even know of a sprint store. WV is already spotty but verizon and att are the only cell carriers i know of.
anyone notice the phones both list different temperatures. 0.o
@microsoft1122
yes there is, it's only available so far in 32 major cities, such as NYC and Chicago.
is the evo comming to verizon?? i would love the evo over the Iphone ANNNNY time
network speed test? more like a primed cache speed test
they both do 720p HD recording
Which temperature is the correct 66 or 68 degrees cause I really need to know how to dress
@tjpark1111 watch the entire video buddy
when will verizon get 4g?
"something to, uh, keep in mind"
The Droid Incredible isn't CDMA version of the Legend ?
@LegitBlogger Makes sense to me, but I would think a weather app would constantly refresh. Still like the phone though.
Wow. That typing sure doesn't speak well of the Incredibles touch accuracy.
where the hell do u get all of this money?????????
why different temps????
