5:32 You say 1 cup of heavy cream but the text prompt reads ¾ cup of powdered sugar, the jumps to the vanilla extract measurement without mentioning how much heavy cream. Just thought I'd give a heads up because I almost put in ¾ cup of heavy cream instead of 1 cup cuz of that. Turned out fantastic btw! Thank you!!!
I'm such a fan! My grandson is in culinary school and although I've always had to cook, five children, I never felt creative. I'm showing my grandson my skills thanks to you and your undaunted instructions! You have such a lovely family. Thanks for all you do!
John, i just wanted to say how much i am enjoying your new cookbook! I actually love this one even more so than your first one. The recipes are simple enough to where i dont need to get special ingredients, or i can use your extremely helpful notes for substitutes! I leave your cookbook on my counter and constantly reference it for alternatives and combinations. Thank you for helping us make absolutely DELICIOUS food, while also using what we have!
My 11 year old granddaughter and I love to bake and cook together. We wanted to try something new so I went for this recipe since it was so easy. We both absolutely LOVED it. That will be in the regular rotation now! One thing different we did was a layer of real (homemade) whipped cream on top, then drizzled a grid of chocolate syrup on that and then used a piping bag and closed star tip to ring the outside edge of the pie with whipped cream decorations. SOOOOOOOOOOO good and easy!
My hubby's fave is pb pie. I make one for his birthday most years. Definitely need to try yours! I've been happy with the recipes I've tried from you, and can't go wrong with pb pie! This looks similar to what I make, too.
Made this and it's really tasty. I topped it with the chocolate ganache from his peanut butter cheesecake and it was definitely the right choice, more chocolatey (also added some salt to the ganache and used salted butter for the crust because Reece's peanut butter cup filling is nice and salty, works well). It's not too sweet. Reminds me of frozen cheesecake. I'd say don't leave it out on the counter, and be somewhat prompt in eating your slice (especially if you chilled it in the fridge not the freezer) because maybe 30 mins out of the freezer the filling gets very soft and goopy, though it's still good (I also think it maybe tastes better cold).
Thank you John for all the recipes you share with us. That peanut butter pie looks extremely scrumptious! If you put that pie in front of my Mom she wouldn't be able to control herself.
I used to work in a restaurant that made something like this, we always added a light chocolate ganache on top for a bit of extra chocolate contrast on the peanut better and I always thought they were really good!
Thanks for making the recipe while you are talking! These other hosts stand around and chat and it takes forever to get to the recipe!! You’re one of the few who can multitask! LOL. Love your channel ❤
I’m LOVING your mixing bowls so much! Definitely making this for my husband, he loves Peanut Butter. Your channel is wonderful. So many awesome recipes!! ❤
I make my own by scratch Pat in the pan pie crust. The pie crust is so light, crispy n buttery or i also make my own scratch peanut butter cookies to make a wonderful tasty crust. I also alternate Cool Whip if I don't have heavy whipping cream!! They both work but it doesn't deflate. I would increase both cream cheese n peanut butter.. try it you won't be sorry. Enjoy!! Ps: I promise this is a crowd pleasure. I usually have to make 2 or 3. So delicious. It's wonderful with ganache drizzled on the top!!
@@patriciaday9510 I’ve made a similar peanut butter pie using cool whip. The only difference is that after getting the peanut butter layer in the pan, you add a layer of hot fudge. When it’s set, more cool whip goes on top. That pie is always gone within minutes of being served lol
I’ve just made this, but only had crunchy peanut butter, so hoping it will be good with my coffee after dinner, licked the spatula before I washed it and it was good 👍
Good morning 🌞. My mouth watered the WHOLE time. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE peanut butter.🎉🎉🎉🎉 I’m saving this to make, even if it’s for myself! Thank you for yet another wonderful recipe. Have a great weekend.🤗
Hey John, love all your work; I've made 10+ of your recipes and they have all been smash hits with my family and friends. Thank you so much. Sidenote, right as you add the heaving whipping cream, the title on screen says "3/4 cup powdered sugar", but then it never shows you adding it in.
John I watch your channel from india. First I find you amazing. Second you conjour up the most amazing recipes and incredibly easy to do all because you explain so well. Your family is very lucky to have you cater to their belly. Hope you keep giving us demonstrations. A request.... some air fryer recipies would be appreciated. Blessings from india
Someone asked me to make them to peanut butter pie.i was looking for the right one to make.l'm going to make this one it looks so nice and creamy, yes this one is it
Oh my goodness it looks delicious. Of course I won’t be using the Oreo cookies. I just want the feeling that looks delicious. Thank you. I can make a pie without crust.😋😋😋💕
AH mazing……as per usual, many thanks for sharing, I thoroughly enjoy watching and listening, you need a show on the food network John…..I’m surprised, more shocked they haven’t contacted you….or have they??? Many thanks again, enjoy your day and upcoming weekend. 🥜 Tina 🥜
“Just so you know, this is a really delicious pie.” Uhm, I think we got that message loud and clear John 😂 Love the tip around making the crust with a cup too 🙏🏼 Thank you 🥜
I worked in a restaurant in a small Mennonite town and people came from miles around for the 'amazing' peanut butter pie. It was commercial vanilla pidding with pb/icing sugar crumble. Your recipe would make them cry in shame.
I'm looking for one that doesn't use cream cheese. I found one ages ago that mixed whipped cream with the peanut butter. Had a gram cracker crust with a chocolate gnash between the pb filling and the crust. Topped with wiped cream top, pb cups and peanuts.
Me : " I really gotta slack down on making desserts, There is only me and my boyfriend in this household!" John : " So here's an incredible recipe that will makes you forget you want to eat healthier" Me : "Goddamit." *goes to the grocery store* (I have no self control.)
John, where did you get that beautiful salt glaze bowl that you began to mix all the materials in at the beginning of your video? Absolutely gorgeous with a spout. Would love to have one of those in my kitchen.
Can I substitute greek yogurt, or whip cream or something else for the cream cheese? I really dislike cream cheese but want to make this (or something close to it)!!! Ty!
"Today's the day," I said to myself in the mirror this morning. Turns out that tomorrow's the day! I gotta make this pie!!! Thanks!
😂
Story of my life! 😂
Then why struggle with it?
😂😂😂😂! Sooo me!!! 😂😂😂
❤😊
Thank you for explaining why you use ingredients
It makes me feel like I understand the recipe

Johns' children are so fortunate! Can you imagine coming home from school to the wonderful treats he bakes?
George and Lachlan!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I'm not proud to be jealous of children but, well, here we are.
so fortunate to not have a mother...but they have cakes, amazing.
@@Mamelouk_Z -Take your hate elsewhere.
@@macconmara7252 it's a fact. I'm absolutely not hating. It's his choice, I don't agree with it but he can do whatever he wants.

There isn’t a recipe John makes that I don’t want to try. Love peanut butter cups so this I will make. Thank you.

Village Inn back in the day had a Reese's peanut butter pie that was sooo good. This looks great, too.
Just made this into single serve portions and in the freezer to set. OMG how I didn’t gobble them down it’s soooooooooo good!!!!!!

This pie is delicious. Have been making it for several years.
I just made this for Thanksgiving. I don't typically make sweets but it was fairly easy and turned out great. It's a good recipe to keep around.
I feel in my soul that this needs a Nutter Butter crust. I love peanut butter lol
Yummy

I’m allergic to peanuts but I would love to try this with almond butter instead 😊
So smooth filling the pie has and I bet it’s heavenly to taste.
Beautiful recipe. Hope to make it this weekend! Thanks for sharing.
I first had this in a T.A. truck stop. Sadly, they dropped it about 10 years ago. Made one for Xmas. Everybody loved it.

Might try this with marscapone instead of cream cheese
Yummy. Thanks I wanna try that..
I have to make this and ask for forgiveness later. This looks too good and easy! Thanks for sharing.
Made this pie. It was a delicious hit! The chocolate crust is hard to build up on the sides. Maybe a little more butter? Thank you for your videos.
Chilling in the fridge as we speak!! Can't wait to dig in!! I forgot to pick up the peanut butter cups so off to the store I go!!
I can't get mine out now! Lol any tips? Letting it warm up a bit now
John’s Children Are Awesome!!

I've made this. Topped with chocolate ganache, it becomes peanut butter cup pie. Even my ex wife, who hated peanut butter, loved it.
Oh damn.... I need this peanut butter pie in my life. Like, right now.
"This goes in the pie crust ..." I was waiting for "not your piehole" lol This looks delish! Can't wait to try :))

I’m definitely making this!!!! Looks soooo good
I tried it and it was delicious! Easy to make too. Is this recipe in your new book, John? ❤
thanks for using a hand mixer--since not everyone has a KA. this is a great recipe--it'll be fun to try. 🎈🎈 I'm a fan of Herend.
Looks delicious 🤤😋🤤 and I bet this would taste even better in a cheesecake❤❤❤!!!
This looks delicious. I have to admit I’m lazy and would probably buy the crust premade and use cool whip instead of cream. 😁

I'm absolutely going to make this but I am thinking I'm going to add a nice chocolate ganache to the top. Thanks for the recipe!
Please, please, please! Tell me about those mixing bowls! And where can I get them! ❤
This recipe is amazing as a low carb pie, just substitute the powdered sugar with Swerve and the Oreos with Dunkies by ChocZero! Amazing!
I'm looking for one that doesn't use cream cheese. I found one ages ago that mixed whipped cream with the peanut butter. Had a gram cracker crust with a chocolate gnash between the pb filling and the crust. Topped with wiped cream top, pb cups and peanuts.

OMG YES! Yuuuum!!!
I did: dark chocolate oreos. And I used heavy cool whip with a tsp of vanilla.
Wow this looks so beautiful ❤️
4:20 I always laugh at people that start their Mixer/Beater with things on them and its not in the bowl. 😂🤦♂️👍
My Mom makes these every Christmas, she has for the last 20 years. She does a plain one for my stepfather. Just minis the peanut butter.
LOL "...hey everyone come try my peanut butter pie....with no peanut butter" 😂
That’s a lovely grey CP bowl.
Can I substitute greek yogurt, or whip cream or something else for the cream cheese? I really dislike cream cheese but want to make this (or something close to it)!!! Ty!
Greek yogurt or sour cream is what my grandma used instead of cream cheese but Greek yogurt tastes great in it
sorry this is late response u probably already made it or forgot about it 😂😅
Yummy looking pie.
Looks delicious enjoyed this ❤
Great stuff!!!
😋 yummy
Love this going to make mini's for everyone 😊
I love Pnut Butter Pie. Its delish in a Graham Cracker Crust as well.
Looks delicious… yum yum
Hey John I think this would also be amazing on a vanilla wafer crust.
wow❤ perfect 😊 i love it ❤
We sold our sourdough chocolate chip muffins to our garden shop last week. Next week we will make sourdough blueberry muffins to our garden shop.
Yummy John!!!
Btw, if anyone has a blender and not a food processor, a blender works too for the Oreos!
Do a 1:53 Ninja or blender work as well as a food processor?
Can’t wait to make this!!!
