  • In our first jam packed day in Tokyo, we bounce back from jet lag at 5:30 am and immediately hit the streets to visit Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise Street, where we get our fortune read. After a breakfast break, we go to Kappabashia Kitchen town to see fake food and then to Yanaka Ginza to explore the "Old Tokyo". After that we visit the controversial Yasukuni Shrine and Yushukan museum along with Jimbocho Book Town. We finish our temple tour with our third temple of the day: Zojo-ji. At Zojo-ji we also explore its cemetery of Jizo statues, the guardian deities of travelers and children in Japan. We get dinner at Roppongi Hills and get lost when Robert's phone dies. After rehydrating at the hotel, we get mocktails at Akihabara's Low Non Bar.

Couple from the UK here binging on your videos in prep for our own Japan trip. Your line about Robert looking into the distance has us laughing out loud! Loving this content.

Glad you enjoyed it! By the end of the trip, we definitely would not recommend going in the summer. Robert grew up in Florida, and I grew up in North Carolina, but the heat we experienced was unlike anything in the hot, humid American south. It's a bit off the beaten path, but we made some videos in Nagano Prefecture in Nagano City and the Shibu Onsen area, and it's definitely worth getting out of Tokyo to see some of the country side.

I'm glad you're enjoying our Japan vlog series. There's still some videos to come. However, our favorites are definitely the time we spent in Nagano at a Ryokan in Shibu Onsen and at the nearby Monkey park with the famous snow monkeys.
