Having a wide range of vocabularies is highly significant in learning and understanding English language. In my case, unfortunately i have a very limited knowledge of vocabularies which makes me difficult to learn the language quickly. In spite of that, i wont give up on this learning journey. I would continue to watch and listen to Lucy's lessons.
For few months I do exercise “listening-writing”. First time I didn’t understand anything, now I can watch Lucy and other RUclipsrs without subtitles. But only if I listen intentionally. I lost a knit of speech when I do something and listen at the same time. And I still don’t understand natives from movies or series. I see the long road before me and clearly understand that there is a progress, and I cannot give it up. Thank you Lucy for improving my English.
Hi Lucy! I'm from Pakistan. & I think all of us means your students knows English very well because we are learning it from our childhood but as it is not our native language so we lack practice. But just for 20 days if we start to speak English we can be excellent in it.
Hi Lucy, I'm Brazilian and I study English by myself. I saw your channel now, for a moment I thought you were a Brazilian speaking, because I was understanding everything you said in the video, but in my mind it's like you're speaking Portuguese, and then I realized it was in English , it's a bit crazy lol ... But how nice that I understand your English, that means I'm improving my listening. thanks. And now I'm a new one enrolled your channel.
I am quite proficient in English (German myself) but I enjoy listening to a beautiful lady explaining language, a phenomenon I have studied for most of my adult life
Oh, Lucy, I keep telling my students to come and watch your videos, so they can listen from a native speaker that listening and vocabulary are entwined! Plus, your voice is so soothing... Keep up the great work!
Even at fast speed, you articulate the words so distinctly, it is still easy to understand by comparison with most american series. When I hear sentences I cannot understand while watching a serie, I often listen again at this sentence at slow pace, but most of the time I cannot figure out what it can be. I note the sounds I get but often it doesn't match with anything.
I remember that i found your channel two years ago (when your subs were just around 400k), when i was still in gap year after graduated from hs. I had no money to attend a course so i decided to learn english from internet, and your channel was one of the resources that i had to learn english. I didnt even understand anything that you said at that time, but i kept giving myself a shot to do that. I just had my toeic result yesterday and i got more than what i expect, it's crazy. I wish i could meet you irl to say how much i thank you for helping me through your work. You dont know how grateful i am to know your channel. I love you Lucy, keep up the good work, keep spreading your knowledge. You're the best and you'll always be my fav youtubers ❤️❤️❤️

The thing is, I want to watch films in English. The actors express emotions and sometimes it's not clear what they say. When I listen to teachers of English like you, Lucy, I understand EVERY. SINGLE. WORD. Because you speak clearly. I force myself to turn off the subtitles and watch youtube bloggers. I can understand more than the half of their words, but here comes actually the biggest issue for me:my vocabulary is freakin small. However, most of the time it is all about the quality of people's pronunciation (im not talking about accents). However, I've found a 6 hour long video on RUclips - a "High rise" book(that is the book's name i guess...) read by Tom Hiddleston. So now I have the entire summer to listen to it) I want to improve my listening and vocabulary sm!!! P. S. Your video is really informative. I enjoyed it so much! Luv your clannel. I'm so grateful for everything you do for us ❤️
Lucy: to person who is learning speak English, the exercise 2 is too much extensive. I tried to do it, I could understand what you were saying but I couldn't write So, my recommendation is to shorten the exercise. It's a great way to learn but it's so rough. Nice to see you almost every week Have a nice day. P.S.: I'm loving the Anna's videos... your friend.
The best part of me is , when i started my learning here i put the subtitle from the beginning vid since i'm a slow listener 🙁 but nowadays i can watch and learning english without the subs and can understand them nicely! more funnier is , i can't even noticed the subs was off till you mention it 😂😂😂 i might not really great of my english yet but what i can is i'm much improve now and my bestfriend give me compliment for that too! thank you so muchhh lucy! You taught me ALOT i owe you very much love you 😘✨💫🌈🌙
Your diction is so clean and sharp that i always understand everything, so i'm playing every video on a higher speed, so that i can challenge myself a little bit. But the vast majority of anglophones mumble the words or speak some dialect, that means i struggle a lot for a few times
Damn, even the ads in your videos are classy. I really like the fact that you're advertising the stuff that's actually relevant to what you teach, and do that at the exact right moments.
hi Lucy, I decided to comment just to say that I wish I hadn't have to waste my time on studying at the university (in Poland where I'm from) as watching you I'm able to learn much much more. Last year I got my Bachelor's degree in English, but I didn't feel as good at it as I should have, I think. Although I've been working in language school teaching children, I still believe I need to learn more - I mean - more 'practical' English as I've started writing my own book and I think I'm lacking mostly the vocabulary and long-not-used grammar structures. Since I've discovered your channel I feel more motivated to practice and so on, but I still need more help with it, and I'm not kin on spending money on online language courses at the moment. But I love your videos
Thanks Lucy. It were difficult exercises but I know that everyone has to try if you want to become fluent. I think that all of us have this goal. I did the second one with a few difficulties. I will try again so I can improve my comprehension skill. Bye
Funny thing is... when Lucy spoke at slow speed, I barely understood what she was saying but when she backed to normal speed or even fast speed... I got everything !!!
Lucy! You look astonishing today. Thank you for caring about your looks as a teacher should do. It's easier to learn English. Really the lesson is great. Your tips for tired students who do not know how to keep studying motivation, and cannot find the proper exercises for increasing listining skills, is great. Great presentation! It is not easy to find a teacher who is able to show " something simple" and so useful. My personal problem is that I am slow in writing and the exercises are needed to learn the connected speech. It is difficult to hear the sounds in connected speech and reproduce the sounds after cotenation, elision ect.
This is one of the best videos of yours. Congrats! You do it well. Your pronounciation is intelligible. You are very good as a teacher. Keep going like this!👍❤
I have been ur student since the day oops I don’t even remember, may be from the day u were teaching idioms “ grass is always greener on the other side” hehe...so blessed to have you..love all your videos...thank you for everything❤️❤️
Hi Lucy! I really enjoy watching your videos. All your videos are really helpful! I would like to ask you if you could make a video about “how to use either and neither”. I heard lots of native speakers frequently use either and neither. But as a non native English speaker, these two words seem really confusing and complicated. Looking forward to your next video! Warm greetings from Japan :)
