Hi 👋 Bryer. Happy Birthday. I turned 68 in September. So im one of your old viewers. Thumbs up for some of your new additions to your cd collection. The Buzzcocks i like very much , and i own both those two albums that you purchased. Lead singer Pete Shelley was a good lead singer. He passed away a few years ago. The Commodores were very popular in the 1970s. I like their instrumental titled Machine Gun which came out back in 1974. The track was used as a theme tune to our pop music tv 📺 show called Ready to Roll in the 1970s. Sail On , and Easy are other songs of theirs i like. I love Jeff Buckley , that album Grace is a classic. I was so sad when i heard about his tragic death in the 1990s. The Babys i like . I was 25 in the year 1981. A new record store has opened here in the city i live in and i bought the Quadrophenia soundtrack to the 1979 movie. It features mostly the Who songs . I worked for a film distribution company here and the company released the film. So im pleased with that. You have a good day on your birthday. 😊
Nice Haul. Specially Hawkwind Space Ritual and Nektar Journey..... ! Have a nice day ;) (PS the Todd was a single LP, but pushed to the limits, great album !!!)
@@BryersMusicShowcase Even Todd Rundgren Initiation from 1975 is a single LP and that one have a running time of 68 minutes !!! Play that Hawkwind CD again mate !!!!
Jeff Buckley's 'Grace" was a weird one for me. At the time I love love loved this. I thought it was a masterpiece. Over time though, I just dropped out of "love" and ended up thinking it was pretty mediocre. I listened to it the other day, because my wife slotted the CD on in the car, and I didn't recognise it!! What the... it wasn't until "So real", which is still boss, that I realised who it was. WHAT AN EMABARRASSMENT! I know you're only 1/3 of my age, but are there any albums like this for you? First listens, masterpiece, later listens, meh?
Off the top of my head, I guess Appetite For Destruction by Guns N’ Roses. GNR in general really. I liked them at lot more when I first started collecting, but overtime I find myself listening to them less and less. I still like them, but not stuff I go back to often. 🙂
Wow that was a lot of CD’s. What a variety. I mean who else has Black Metal and Susan Boyle in the same haul. I don’t think I know most of those albums. Word of Mouth might have been the best one that I saw.
Grateful Dead live in 1968 is an acquired taste. Anthem was recorded live and merged with some studio. They were total fire that night at Fillmore West.

Thank you for the birthday wishes!
Love the Elvis album! Cool that you're exploring more country music. Both Luke Combs and the Dixie Chicks have some great stuff.
Thanks Jacob, Luke and the Chicks both surprised me with how much they impressed me. 😀

Thank you Zeb!!! (Thanks for the correction, the CD had me fooled 😂)

Thanks for the info! I guess this version of the band is not for me. 😅
