    About orks:
1 - They are just having fun. All they want is a good scrap (fight).
2 - Their tecnology works in the base of belief. They put stuff together in a generally functional form that they believe works and it works.
3 - They love "Dakka" (shooting), but most orks prefer "krumping" (melee).
4 - As they fight, they grow larger, stronger and smarter. So the biggest ork is the one with the most experience. "Da biggest ork is da Boss. Da boss is brutal and cunning".
5 - "Da biggest ork is da Boss. Da boss is brutal and cunning". The orks have the power of making their belief a reality. The more orks are together in an area, the stronger it's effect is. So if a lot of orks are together and they belief their boss is the strongest and smartest, he actually becomes stronger and smarter. Wich in turn convinces more orks that he is even stronger and smarter, wich makes him so.
You should definatly check some lore videos about the Orks!

I think it would be a good idea for you to watch Bricky's second part of explaining all factions. He talks about Orks there.

"Why have the Orks invaded that planet?"Generally there is no why, Orks just want to krump some enemies and/or steal some stuff and they will do so if they can.
And krumpin and lootin is abundant on this planet, so they went here to krump some humies

Orks dont believe in the omnisiah. They do replace limbs and there are certain units that do this like Meks. They only do it if they couldnt staple on replacement limbs or just decide they want mechanical parts to be better at killing. Also they wear power armor of their own that could look like it is like bionic limbs too but isnt!

Finishing Bricky's vid will give you a decent idea about orks, but basically the average ork cares for nothing beyond having a good fight and maybe looting 'shiny fings' afterwards to trade for 'teef'.
A few special orks (Mekboyz) can cobble together some machinery and salvaged vehicles, which run more by collective belief than engineering principles. Even rarer is the sort of ork who gets to be Boss by being bigger and meaner than the others. The bigger the warband he has, the smarter he gets and may act with crude strategy beyond just charging headlong into everything, but always in the pursuit of fighting and looting.
The ork is not a natural being, but a sort of out of control sentient bio weapon, originally designed to fight the Necron, but I won't go into it any further here.

Orks are more plant life than flesh. Think more "the hulk" they grow and regenerate even bad wounds. How ever the mad doc ork can 'upgrade' them. This is generally he's jam the metal part on, if the ork believes it, it will work. If not the other boys knock his teef out. And eat the leftovers. The only believe in the a good fight, and a bigger fight, shown to them by Gork and Mork.

Orks really don't need any reason to invade some place. Orks are a more """fun""" faction in 40k and one of their main thing is called WAAAAGH! (War but mispelled and yelled the loudest one can). Litteraly the only pleasure or reason to live for an Ork is to become stronger and better at WAAAAGH!

This is how you write a good female character where yes in reality most guard regiments are bound to being singe sexed regiments, but mixed regiments can and do exist but they tend to be very rare, in those cases it doesn’t really matter since again LT Mira is both competent and yet isn’t so irritating unlike
Some more modern female characters who again tend to come off more as annoying or generally unpleasant 🤷‍♂️

Ricky's faction explained part 2 also has some information on orcs but like he said it's not in depth but he does a great job of making you understand what it's like to play a orc based army in real life and they seem so fun
