Sons of Medusa THANK YOU. Been bugging me all day lol. I think im most excited about the Scythes of the Emperor hopefully it goes into their last stand vs the nids, looks like it.
The original Astarte’s chapter was the Retributors. 3:51 looks like the space marine from the first Astartes that lost his hand when his plasma pistol went overcharged trying to free himself from the orb. It might be him and his group or he’s the last one standing from the group that got warped to the chaos planet.
Ah thought so the name was in my brain from all the lexi rabbit holes. I hope we do find out what happened to those guys from astartes, either way I'm just happy astartes 2 is actually happening.
"Not a fan of Primaris". I fell down this 40K rabbit hole during the pandemic. I have over 9K points worth of Primaris Iron Hands. I sold off some first born centurions to feed this habit. The future is now old man.
could it be a Deathwatch story?! Maybe that montage is all the marines from their separate chapters fighting xenos before getting recruited into the Deathwatch? Terminator with an inquisition symbol on his helmet makes me think so.
Yes it's about the deathwatch. It was stated on the warhammer community website that none of the footage in the trailer is in the actual new series but it's rather a back story for the characters that will be the focus of the series and the ending is a hint of what the series will be about
"Many brotherhoods united in purpose". "We are the shield that slays". "Suffer not the Xenos to live". Yes, it's Deathwatch. Or if it's _not_ Deathwatch, they really, really want us to _think_ it's Deathwatch.
@@Dr.HooWho Why not? It seems like the logical progression of the story - they just lost an Inquisitor and a squad of Astartes to a mysterious Xenos threat, sounds like something Deathwatch would be called in for.
Yo ! About that title : why would there be PRIMARIS SM ? the first Astartes movie was set in M39, so basically 200 years before the XIIIth Black Crusade, the Fall of Cadia, the Ccatrix Maledictum and the return of the Primarchs. Why would the second one be set in late M41 or M42 ? ;)
@@AstartesPanda I hear you, and many others say that. Ok, but it seems to me like a pretty automatic argument. For years people have speculated (sorry, more like "adamantly affirmed") that GW had bought Syama Pedersen and Erasmus Brosdau and other creators only to shut them down because reasons (GW is pure Evil, everyone knows it...). Turns out it was exactly the opposite and they've been working on some crazy high level animation, including the Secret Level episode all this time. Do we hear a wave of excuses and honest autocritic from those who loathed GW for doing things they never did ? No. So, yes, GW has been pushing primaris in their minis range and what ? Does this mean that every content from now on has to be set in M42 ? No story of previous ages shall ever be told ? Well, if it were the case there would be absolutely no reason why they wouldn't have portrayed primaris in the trailer : they could just have set it during the Indomitus Crusade or whatever, it would have made no difference to us...

Jokes on you the teaser shows the characters prior to becoming primaris marines and joining the death watch.(GW has no reason to to promote First born marines)
Well, could it be that the first Astartes movie being set in M39 (2 full centuries before any primaris got out of the cryotube), this one is in the continuation, and thus have absolutely nothing to do with primaris ? I wonder ! @@igorreader9081 it's pretty obvious - because GW not even hiding that Primaris Marines exist not because of lore adjustmentss, but because they wanted to sell rescale models of Space Marine nes and since people won't immediately pay for new scale models for their old armies, they made up crappy lore behind Primaris and how they replaced ALL of chapters (which is impossible without major Civil Wars and all sorts of schism happening) to new Primaris Marines. By the way, their whole look and new squad roles are way dumb on comparison to more simplistic and effective roles that Firstborn had (Tactical, Assault and Devastator,).

I would never understand why people would watch a trailer like this, pausing at every single scene like watching a powerpoint. On a second watch, sure. But trailers or short animations, especially good ones, are directed and cut and presented to viewers at a very specific pace, a specific rhythm in close correlation to sound and music to achieve a specific narrative and evoke specific emotions from viewers. Imagine listen to a piece of music and pause after every few notes. Or taking short breaks every few seconds while having sex. This is how you break all immersion and destroy any momentum or build up or climax from a piece of art.
ACTUALLY. I find the video very sincere. The natural progression of the video and the commentators descript of the trailer is easy to follow. By pausing at every single scene it allows me to take in the beauty of the content which has been provided. Upon watching, I found the lack of editing very humble. The author of the video is explicitly not attempting to succumb to my senses and has respectfully edited the videos in a way which does not play with my serotonin levels like modern applications and influencers do. Despite the chaotic rythm in close relation to the sound and music, I find the narrative evoking something nostalic, like having a collegue sitting next to me and just "chilling". You're claim of breaking the immersion simply doe snot apply to this content, because you fail to see why it has gathered so many views. In contrast to your 10 second gaming clips found on your channel. I find this piece of art very, very, very pleasing. Liked Subscribed
