Yes after seeing all the fancy, complicated builds out there, I think my design is the most affordable, the simplest and also the strongest really. Thanks
What was the reasoning for the turnbuckles and hook hanger route to secure it down.i thought that was an interesting choice. What was the turnbuckle fastened to below?
There are actually heavy duty built in D rings on the bed/floor of the 4runner. Mine has 4 and that's where I secured the platform to. At the time that was the strongest way to secure the whole things down and many years after I only re-tighten the turn buckles twice and the whole thing is just perfect.
@@scoophouser Yes you definitely need to have some sort of attachments to hold it secure in place and there are 4 D-rings at the perfect spot. Best vehicle ever made but best people in what they do. They really thought everything thru.
great build, thanks for sharing so many details
Genius, just genius!
Affordable/simple/and NOT over engineered!!!

@@outbeckoned ohh I see. So you fastened them to the stock D-rings? That’s a cool idea!

Sorry i forget to ask .... i am 1.79cm tall, how much sleep space have your 4runner ? best regards
With the seats it could accommodate up to 180-ish. Without the seats it will accommodate around 195-ish I believe depending on how you sleep.
What's the width of the platform
The main square that holds the drawers is 39X39 I believe.
