using ver. 2019 (version 2204 (build 15128.20224) - on the sumfs function - it won't give the array (as it does w/your version). Tried several times to be sure I was doing just as you did. Have you any idea what's wrong? BTY: Love your videos!
I’m a big fan of how you always show the insert function process. a lot of tutorials just do it all in the cell or the formula bar which is fine, but using the insert function really adds a little something extra. It’s those kind of things that are the reasons the KCC is at the top of its game!!🤩👨🍳🍪🍪🍪
Thank you so much. I really appreciated this video. I'm on a deadline at work and I have no excel training. This video really helped me. 👍 Kevin and 👍 for creating contents that help users

Hello sir, please I need assistance writing VBA codes to insert passport pictures into picture content in MS Word document if about 20 pages. James, Ghana, West Africa. Thank you.
Can you use =SUMIF to add .05 cents on the dollar for beverage crv tax for below 24 oz and .10 cents on the dollar for above 24 oz? Or is there a different method for that?
What if my criteria includes being withing a certain time period? Lets say the cookie transaction dates for each cookie type were tracked and i wanted to know how many chocolate chip cookies were sold in the US this month (there is data from the previous months). How would i ago about including that criteria?
Excellent Tutorial as always!.. "Sumifs" could be used in many things like calculating items in store/inventory. at school how many kids in such class and how many classes in such institute and how many in different locations. Thanks for this Tutorial.
Thanks Kevin. Your tutorial was very good to watch. I got a real lightbulb moment and now I can't wait to start applying this to spreadsheets where I have always manually totalled colums using the SUM tool and worked out the rest manually.
Hey Kevin, I don't know why I am getting zero as result in sumifs multiple rows. I double checked and i am entering the same formula as you, I even changed the country from United States to India but then I am getting only 75 instead of 107 in result when I selected chocolate chip and oatmeal raisins. Could you or anyone help me with this? this is the formula that I used : =SUM(SUMIFS(C:C,B:B,B2,A:A,A2:A3))
I don't understand. There's no explanation on MS store. How to install MS Store apps to other drive? If you have your main drive with windows OS and high speed SSD, the only thing needed on there is a few games that require high speed to win. All other games and software can be installed in second drive. Also, how to install Chrome to second drive?
Is great teaching, this is almost a full set for the sum, count, average so and so for one set of sum examples. However, if you can speak slowly and clearly especially like the * and ?. For the ? there is no example shown and also can't find the sample worksheet below. Last, the formula shown in xls next to your answer also never shows us how it appears there :( I told my mom you are so great in your teaching and xls :) Thanks, Great teacher :)
Thank you very much Kevin. I was trying to add random numbers within a range based on values in an adjacent cell. After getting very complex with my formulas, it was this logical sumif that did it. Just goes to show, it doesn't always have to be complex. Can't thank you enough.
Mostly the same. Google Sheets doesn't seem to support multiple criteria in the same column like with Excel. It does however support multiple criteria in different columns.
For multiple criteria sums or counts I prefer to use SUMPRODUCT(), which in my opinion is more versatile and do both AND and OR criterias. Maybe you could do a video on all the ways you can use SUMPRODUCT.
Bro! I love this..... thank you, ? please..... can you do this with names? I need to track the percentage of employee's ( by name) that have the highest percentage of QA surveys......not sure if you answered a question similar to this, but I'm gonna ask anyway :)
Kevin, I have data, and its as follows. I have total number of participants that attended a training, some are direct others are indirect, some are female others are male, they are in different age groups. When I use this formula =SUMIFS(L13:L6568,M13:M6568,M13,N13:N6568,N13,O13:O6568,O13), and this does not help as a data entrant continues data entry. What can I do? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭I really need your help.
Hello, I would like to create a workbook for a savings and credit cooperative. This workbook would need to auto-update with years, past, present, and future months. The months would need to range from 2023 to infinite, and the years would need to range from 2023 to infinite as well. The workbook would need to track member id or account names and payments made of deposits, savings, personal accounts, loans received, loan payments, etc. Is this something you can help me with?
Great vids - quite helpful, Thanks Is there a way to increase the font size within the Excel program? Like where you are in File>Options. It just seems like an 8 font!
Hi. In sheet1 have a column with 4oo names and in sheet 2 I have a column with 60 names. I need to find which names in sheet 2 exist in sheet 1 and give me the row numbers they are in. What function does that?
Hi Kevin. Could you show us how to add a column that is a function of furmulas? IE we have 7 rows of column a-b =c. It always goes to error when trying to sum column c
Always watch and find your videos useful. But this time I was a bit disappointed. But not sure if it is from you or excel :-) I was really expecting to see more advanced criteria like sum if cell is bigger than number or another cell. I think it can be really useful. But I am not sure if this is possible in excel and you didn't show, or just not possible.... I could never find a decent help in excel for what you can do with criteria. It isn't well documented at all and I thought you are going to show all possible criteria options. Anyway, you helped me so much with all of your videos - so thanks. You're awesome!
Ah, fair point, Yuval! That would have been good to cover as well. It is possible. For example, if you want the sum of cookies sold where there were at least 50 sold, you can enter the function as =SUMIF(C:C,">50",C:C).... just enter the criteria in quotes. You can also compare to a cell reference: =SUMIF(range, ">"& cell_ref,sumrange).... this article does a nice job on the topic: www.extendoffice.com/excel/formulas/excel-sum-if-greater-than.html#:~:text=To%20sum%20values%20which%20are%20greater%20than%20or,%22%3Evalue%22%29%20Sum%20values%20less%20than%3A%20%3DSUMIF%20%28range%2C%20%22%3Cvalue%22%29

do you need to have specefic spreadsheet to do each function
I always recommend your videos to coworkers that want to improve their skill set.

Anyone else who attempted the 1st example of SUMIFS multiple rows formula and still got a zero(0) instead? How did you get it to show 28 and 32?
It didn't worked for me it says "you've entered too few arguments"
That’s the exact problem I’m having right now! If you ever figured this out could you please let me know
Im getting a zero too

You can use the formulatext function 👍

I only use the =*IFS() functions since they are available just to have always the same syntax regardless the number of criteria(s).
Please I want video about cube function

0:00 - Hi Kevin. 👋 11:26 - Definitely 416th thumbs up from me to the stunning video. 👍 Cheers.
How did you get that theme in your excel?
Ok
I subscribed because I learned the SUMIF function in 40 seceonds.
I love your humour, its fun to watch even if its just for a second
dude, why you are so great at teaching Excel? Man I wish I have teacher like you for all of my subjects.

Great tip!
Consider making a fulll course on Excel with the new version. Thanks for the vid.
Full course coming soon 👍
The random management question is the most accurate 🤣
Kevin randomly asking to subscribe ( 0:37 ) was nice
Thanks Kevin. Your tutorial was very good to watch. I got a real lightbulb moment and now I can't wait to start applying this to spreadsheets where I have always manually totalled colums using the SUM tool and worked out the rest manually.
Kevin's Cookies only sold 158 cookies in the world. How can it still stay in business?
We're very effective at 'selling' the vision and dream to investors 😅
sumif one of the most useful functions :D
After watching this video and practicing using the workbook, I feel like I am now an expert. Thanks so much Kevin!
Happy to help!

@Kevin Stratvert your way of explaining formula's is just amazing.
Good
your tutorial is simply the best out of all the other videos I watched! Thank you!
Thank you very much Kevin. I was trying to add random numbers within a range based on values in an adjacent cell. After getting very complex with my formulas, it was this logical sumif that did it.
Just goes to show, it doesn't always have to be complex.

I like the way he says kevin here.. Informative video 👍
Nice info. Thanks
Thanks for the tutorial of Excel function. Just wondering does these 2 functions work in the same way in Google Sheet too?
Mostly the same. Google Sheets doesn't seem to support multiple criteria in the same column like with Excel. It does however support multiple criteria in different columns.
@@KevinStratvert Thank you so much
Hi Kevin, how to get rid of red circles in the cell. it's not a Comment. But, random red dots. Can you help? I can send you a screen shot.
My "SUMIFS Multiple Rows" is giving "0". Could anyone possibly give the solution?
One of your best tutorials regarding Excel...
For multiple criteria sums or counts I prefer to use SUMPRODUCT(), which in my opinion is more versatile and do both AND and OR criterias. Maybe you could do a video on all the ways you can use SUMPRODUCT.
since Excel has the new array functions the SUMPRODUCT() is less ans less needed.
@@RogerStocker Yes. For those who have a recent version of Excel. But I can see from questions I get that many have much older versions.

Extremely unhelpful
the multiple row sumifs is returning 0 when I put in the formular you gave. Am I doing something wrong
