Who else is livin the blk girl struggle n trying to flat twist n cornrow like it’s college chemistry 🙋🏾♀️😭😂 UPDATE: Got an A in college chemistry still can’t cornrow or twist my damn hair😂😂😭🤦🏾♀️
This video gave me the confidence to try to flat twist again. It took my about 5 hours (very dense hair) to detangle, moisture, trim my ends, and style. Super proud of myself and I actually did pretty well! Also, thank you for the tips on how to set the style in place so that it looks neat without having to use gel. Perfect tip!
This is the first tutorial I was actually able to complete! Came here after failing to do cornrows but flat twists seem like an excellent prerequisite XD
Thank you so much for getting right to the point! I needed a “refresher” b/c I haven’t done this style in so long. I can’t tell you how much it IRRITATES me when enthusiasts dance, make faces, talk about their kids, and subject us to unnecessary chatter! 🙄 You hair came out BEAUTIFULLY! 😍
Hey i’m an 8th grader who went natural 2 years ago. I appreciate the effort you make in these videos, and hope I can learn how to style my natural hair from your videos. Thank you for the lessons and tips. I really needed the help and I will practice really hard until I get it perfect ❤️❤️
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I have long hair that is almost to the middle of my back and I want to wear twists, so I have been watching tutorials. I refuse to pay the insane amounts of money that people charge for twisting and braiding!
Thank you very much for this tutorial! I know how to three strand braid and cornrow. I know how to do two strand twist, but not the flat twist cornrow. Now with this video I'm ready to try this style, and my hair is about your length or little longer. I just have a lot of shrinkage. I can't wait to try this protective style because I don't like leaving my ends out. This is an awesome length retention style. :)
Thank you!!! You are inspiring me to keep going. I am only 8 weeks in but transitioning is much more difficult to maintain than I imagined, but now that I found you I think I can keep going for a while longer. :-) Your tips and tutorials are great. Keep it up.
Im transitioning at the moment coz I saw that having relaxed hair for me it was kinda difficult I couldn't do styles I wanted to do my hair was not easy to told now that I'm transitioning I kinda like it I don't know how it would look when I finally have natural hair . Sorry to go out of topic actually my hair was loose back then I couldn't do flat twists now that It is slowly having curls my flat twists are getting stronger and stronger thank you for the video.. much appreciated
Thanks boo. This video was very valuable and helpful. I cut my hair to 3-3.5 inches. Too short for me to do two strand twists but I can definitely do some flat twists. I need a protective style that doesn’t require any additional hair and this seems like the easiest one to try. Thanks again beautiful.
Thank you for this video. I was determined to learn this technique. After watching it like 7-8 maybe 9 times, I tried it and DID IT! 🥳🥳🥳 Of course it didn’t come out as A1 as your hair but the basics and concepts are down and my hair looked better than my first couple attempts. I’m going to keep practicing 🙌🏽
It seems like I have to work on picking up the same amount of hair each time as I'm moving back 😩. Like sometimes its a little and sometimes it's more than that
I’m trying to learn the THREE strand flat twist and there is not a video ANYWHERE on RUclips that CLEARLY shows how to do it. My two-strand flat twist is a messy work in process, but I can do them. Once I master that three-strand flat twist, that’ll be my go-to for wash week.
I tried flat twist for the first time today. It was pretty decent but I totally gave up in the middle section of my hair because I just can't seem to get my arms positioned right and I can't go down. Hopefully I learn
I did my whole head for the first time ever and it doesn't look terrible! I did a little swoop in the front but did the back straight down to make it easier on myself. Thank you for the clear instructions and demonstration! 🥰
Love this tutorial! I’m gonna give it a try. I can braid but not flat twist. What’s the brand comb you’re using cuz I can’t find a good one for parting without metal tip?
have you ever tried adding crochet hair to your twist braids I'm thinking of trying that method instead of braiding I think it will look more natural creating a illusion like it's yours
This just saved me OMG I just saved me. Lmao I know about about to get some hair supplies and flat twist my hair for this Half up and half down criss-cross style. 😭😭😭 You just saved my Xmas 🤣😂🤣
Idk how yall brave enough to start cornrowing or twisting the hair without clipping the rest of the hair to the side lol I always end up grabbing hair I don't mean to if I dont
I've been trying to do flat twist on my sons hair but somehow I get confused every time. I can do cornrows just fine though idk why lol you make it look so easy
It’s so weird. I barely learned how to cornrow with the hands on top of the head. I usually braid with my hands framing my face like you have yours @ 5:52 but now I feel like I gotta re-learn how to flat twist😭😭 this is ridiculous…learning hair is HARD!! Especially on yourself. But I think I’ll try this method of twisting, small pinch’s noted!
I couldn't see what was actually happening. Zoomed in at a different angle with a close up may have helped. I understand I need to twist and pick up hair, but I need the tutorial to see how to grab the hair neatly and evenly without losing grip or tension. 🤷🏽♀️ A lot of tutorials that I have watched so far do not actually show/say how to grab and hold the hair.
Hey everyone, Thank you for watching. I just released my very own line of satin bonnets. Check it out here 👉🏿 humbleglow.com
Thank you 🙏🏿
Sadly they are all sold out 😐

Here after giving up on cornrows
Literally me rn
Plssss 😭😭😭 cause this is me rn
Same here no shame in that fr
Ahahah you're not alone brother
God bless, Jesus loves you and died for you all .
I swear braiding and twisting is like rocket science to me
Have tried and my fingers refused to work out on my hair 🤣😂☺️🤣
Same for me. I don't think my brain and/or hands came with that option from the factory.
Same here@@rosemarykaloki7639
Me too
Who else is livin the blk girl struggle n trying to flat twist n cornrow like it’s college chemistry
🙋🏾♀️😭😂
UPDATE: Got an A in college chemistry still can’t cornrow or twist my damn hair😂😂😭🤦🏾♀️
I was a Chem major and it wasn't nearly this hard fr... I might cry LOL
I still cant braid but at least I can flat twist now
Black guy here. Have no idea what to do with my hair. In college with no job. Not getting a haircuts regularly. Definitely glad I found this.

Seemz like flat twist is easier than basic cornrows kkkk
This was a great tutorial but I just realized I lack the necessary skills to follow it :')
Same
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Not by yourself...😔
You would be so proud of me, the way my head turned out! Thanks for the tutorial, it was super helpful and easy to follow 💓
Aww good to hear that. I am so happy this video helped you out
Wait so yours didn’t come out like messy turds like the rest of us?! You are blessed😂
I have watched different tutorials for the flat twist and I finally got it by watching yours,. Thanks a million.👍💃🏽
Awww that’s so great to hear
This is the first tutorial I was actually able to complete! Came here after failing to do cornrows but flat twists seem like an excellent prerequisite XD
Shoutouts to her bc I tried this and mine came out looking like turds🤦🏾♀️🥺

Nice so happy to help!

Scrolling down the comments to see who still can't do flat twists😂
She lost me as soon as she started doing it 😂

I finally see what I was doing wrong. I am going to finally conquer this hairstyle! 😊
Who else like her skin colour 😘😘😘
That is the first thing I noticed. No make up, smooth, pretty and beautiful!
I love the tip of using the comb to show where your part falls on your face to make it symmetrical.
Ik gonna try this for chrochet cause i cant braid my own hair that well❤️
I’m trying to learn the THREE strand flat twist and there is not a video ANYWHERE on RUclips that CLEARLY shows how to do it. My two-strand flat twist is a messy work in process, but I can do them. Once I master that three-strand flat twist, that’ll be my go-to for wash week.

Yes

Hi, gr8 tutorial but how do you keep the twist so defined, do you roll the hair as you go? Thx
Thank youuuu! I have struggling with this for a min!
Omg you did this so effortlessly😫
I enjoyed that thank you I will watch it over and over until I get it
Gonna try this on my 4yo. He loves his long hair so I'm trying to switch things up vs cutting it.
Nice and it’s more gentle on the scalp too
I can't do cornrows so I learnt to do flat twists and it's pretty good.
Thank you for sharing your talent & beauty. You have the healthiest ends I have ever seen on camera.
I like this video, it is really helpful and your twists look really neat. You now have a new subscriber xxx...
So ready to try this when it hair wash day ❤
Thank you for the tutorial!! Helps a lot.
Wow you work so quickly!!
Wow nice demonstration I think this one is better than cornrows. You are so cute in that brown skinned
Such a great, detailed video. Thank you so much!!

Idk how yall brave enough to start cornrowing or twisting the hair without clipping the rest of the hair to the side lol I always end up grabbing hair I don't mean to if I dont

The same problem I have with all these tutorials is you can’t see what their fingers are doing. I wish they had see thru hands.😂
My thoughts. How are we going to learn like this 😂🤦🏾♀️
I got it at the second trial. Thanks for sharing
Great tutorial my issue is parting my hair
Use the end of a rat tail comb
Finally someone who positions their hands and index finger like me
Beautiful dear. In fact you are talented
How long do you wear them for
did my first one, honestly didn’t do that bad, could be a bit more neat though
Amazing, i finally did it!
Well explained … will give it a try
Thank you! I finally got it
Is it a compulsory that you will apply that
This is like a beginner way to cornrow I think I need to try it.
