Dinosaur Jr. RATM. Tool (undertow era). Fishbone. That was just one day in 93. Such a great time. Authenticity in popular music. I miss those days. I’m an old fogey now lol
mola55e5 not only was Tool there, they were second stage! Unfortunately at the time I had no idea who there were and I walked up as they finished. then my boy explains the life changing event that just took place.
Bob Bernard yeah. I remember really being excited to see tool because sober had just come out and it had me curious. Their set blew me away and I ran right out and got Undertow and Opiate the next day lol. Weird fact. I also went to Lollapalooza 97, with Failure, Orbital, Korn and Tool (again!). Tool was, I believe, the first band to have a return spot on the yearly festival. Meaning they were invited back in 97 after already playing in 93. Probably because they were only a 2nd stage act in 93, as u mentioned, and now that Aenima was out, they had proven themselves to be more than a 2nd stager.
The way his fingers move like a wave in the toys go winding down is trippy, also I have never realized how absurdly long his fingers are like holy shit how the hell are they that long?

This song is very good. Toys go winding down. Its about How when humans grow up you lose the goodness of youth and you realize life isn't what it seemed to be.
Love this. Very late to the Primus bandwagon but one thing I do notice is that for all of Les' talent and uniqueness they would not be as good without Larry on guitar. I don't know where he came up with a lot of that stuff but it just totally fits their image and style.
There’s a lot of really great Claypool sans Ler material. Highball With the Devil is great, so is Flying Frog Brigade, but my favorite would be Les Claypool’s Bucket of Bernie Brains (with Buckethead, Bernie Worrel (from P-Funk), and Brain). Check out their song “Buckethead”: ruclips.net/video/lItXAvIjEQ0/видео.html
I read an interview with Ler and he said "I just figure out what key Les is playing in and hit all of the wrong notes." They all joke about the uniqueness of the music, but don't be fooled - Ler LaLonde is a monster guitarist.
I saw them in the Summer of 1991 in Toronto in a tiny bar, I was only 19 but I had a fresh tattoo and the doorman let me in as long as I didn't order any liquor. Primus was amazing, as you all know already, and they even played a bit of Thieves by Ministry. It's a great memory. I might even have the remains of that tape today. Dang, these are good memories.

I didn't heard a three-piece like this since rush and I still haven't. And my dream came true in 1993 when rush and Primus tour together during roll the bones and sailing the Seas of cheese or maybe it was pork soda. In New Orleans at the U N O Lakefront Arena. One hit of Red Rose acid was all I needed. Still the greatest show that I've ever seen to date
Never ceases to amaze.
