Osmel sent many beautiful women of color to represent Venezuela at world wide parents look at Carolina Indriago, Yalitza Vina both gorgeous women . Both represented Venezuela at the Miss Universe pageant. So, he is not racist.

The pageant became all of a sudden more interested in women of color (1998, 1999, and 2000). Effectively, two black women won back to back, T&T, Botswana, and later brown skinned India. He knew he'd have NO chance those years at the crown without a woman of color. Nothing but an opportunistic strategy, he hasn't changed his views at all on black women and it's disgusting. And mind you, he probably has black people in his family, he's from Cuba after all.

He left the Miss Venezuela Organization in 2018 but the system remained, Venezuelan girls get plastic surgeries to meet the contest´s beauty criteria, it´s still the same.
