" Plastic surgery can help people feel more normal but in a country as racially diverse as Brazil, its hard to know what normal looks like. " How profound
When I was a teenager I thought the only way I'd be happy is plastic surgery. I am not rich though.. I got my eyeliner tattooed when I was 19 the first lady fucked it up. I got it fixed thank God. But it made me think what if my surgery got fucked up? But I'm 25 with 3 kids I dont care about that stuff anymore lol. Not having social media helps too.
Normal is however you were born. People only think normal because society has brainwashed people into what they think is beautiful. It's sickening. Love yourself the way you are. If you have a medical condition then i get it but not just cuz you don't like the way you look.
Yvonne Mofokeng I think that's what makes the comment stick. Everyone knows the ridiculousness of pursuing these ideals yet we feel compelled to do it anyway
beauty exists, it's in symmetry and sex features (look it up), the guy is trying to make this a sensationalistic piece...it's a short film on corrective surgery with his own one sided narrative that is trying to make an issue where it isn't.
I'm Brazilian and I think the problem there is that lots of people are really judgmental. I feel bad for the women who were bullied into surgery cause so was I.
@@your_princesa_isabelg In Anglo-Saxon country, beauty matters but not to the same extent as other places. In many places, it matters more than inner beauty and sometimes inner beauty doesn’t matter at all.
I know.. women are being left behind. I blame it on male Dominance and machismo. Also women liberals pushing their agendas trying to become men, knowing damn right it’s biologically impossible. A society that’s expecting women to be perfect, women having to cook, clean, take care of children, work pay bills, and still make time to keep up with their personal appearance..
Paulo Chan you don’t have to deal with men’s judgmental asses by only appearance. “Yeah she’s pretty but she has small boobs” “yeah she’s pretty but she doesn’t have a big butt” you men don’t have to deal with looks, labor, periods, and makeup. You don’t have to deal with people judging you by how you do your makeup or what you wear. Y’all don’t get judged by how many people you have sex with. Men have it easier than women that’s a damn fact. No one is saying men have it easy. No one does. But if you wanna compare women will ALWAYS win.
I think the culture we have going on with beauty ATM is so damaging. It's brilliant that people are celebrating curvier bodies that are typically "African" and other features like fuller lips but then other people are really insecure; I'm part Irish so I'm pale as hell and I have curves but they're not 'curves', you know, and I sometimes I feel so unattractive compared to others. Then like you said, people want an 'african body' and a 'European face', you can't pick and choose and there's nothing wrong with 'african features', it's all beautiful. It's so sad that we're constantly choosing one set of things to idolise and focus on rather then making everyone feel good about themselves and celebrating everything
African body I'm not sure about that, because Brazilian women it's kind of small, and I don't think about the European face either, we have our own physical type.
Im always in awww, when I see other races especially the caucasian women and others get their whole bodies done in order to have black women features. I loooove the curves I was born with, I use to not like my nose, because it’s big to me, but I have come to love the flaws I have. I realize that I have what others are paying for, which makes me blessed to naturally have big nose, lips, a big booty, big boobs(which are heavy), and hips. Now if I could afford plastic surgery I would get a breast reduction, because grrrrrrrl, these things are heavy(38DDD)!!! I might have to find this Doc and go to the D.R.!
Dylon Black, how women does a bunch of LIPOSUCTION and a nose job, can be a black features??? I'm living in US the black features I see here everyday DON'T resemble in nothing the image of Brazilian women.
I can't totally agree I think he was a bit agressive with the doctors at the hospital, they are plastic surgeons, they do plastic surgery, it's their job and these surgeries need to be done just like any other, even if just for astheatics
Brazil sounds a lot like South Korea? Different features they want, but similar culture. Discrimination on women's appearances. Jobs tied in to good looks. Lots of clinics, social pressure to get surgery, cheaper options for the "everyday woman".
One thing is pretty similar with Brazilians is how upfront their are with judging looks. Brazilians are more on the mockery/make fun side while SK are just pointing out in a matter-of-fact manner about certain features (like big headxsmall head, skin tone, weight, and so on).
The problems with countries like Brazil is they have too many beautiful women and women feel like they have to constantly compete with each other. Specially the way they’re judged.
To be honest I don't think the pressure here in Brazil is very different from other Western nations. These are just women who follow social media and compete with each other, like everywhere. The thing about jobs tied to good looks I don't think is true. Apart from shops I wouldn't say there is too much pressure on appearence for a job. As for South Korea, the documentaries I saw seems worse than here. They sound very, very competitive.
Oh... I didn't know that he speaks Haitian French Creole. But, did you know that in Brazil people don't speak Haitian French Creole? They speak PORTUGUESE.
Maverick Mitchel I meant if he knows Haitian Creole (which he shows in the video about Haitian Prisons) he might’ve known Brazilian Portuguese because he might’ve learnt it.
A lot of people are blaming the women saying it’s their fault for being insecure- do you realize that no one would ever ask for this?? These insecurities were not something they could help they were forced on them and this video is literally showing that,
@@tinahuang3650 right, i agree with you 100% girl u said it exactly how it needed to be said my dumbass just agreeing lol im not always that well with words but im thinkin tha same thing i feel like its even like tht here in tha us
+Aly Lopez Yes, but people are also responsible for how they deal with insecurities. Most women in general in a given society will have some insecurity about their appearance. But most don't feel the need to have surgery to "correct" their natural body. Do we now live in a world where people don't have their own minds and opinions, that everything they think and feel is force fed and they have no options to take a different perspective on themselves. People can choose to ignore social media, if they want. They can choose to have friends and surround themselves with people that make them feel good about themselves. No one is "forced" to read social media commentary or to be attracted to a man who might be attracted to a woman with different features or to conform to the standards of women around them. There is such a thing as individualism. I understand it is easier said than done, but it is still done by millions of women everyday who choose to love themselves as they are instead of bowing to pressure. While I believe plastic surgery is a personal matter and choice, I personally would like to see women happier with their natural appearances. Because when they have children, they will resemble their parents. If a parent doesn't like something about themselves physical that is a natural part of who they are, they will only reinforce that insecurity on their children? Should the world start marketing surgery as the solution to every issue a woman has with her body? I think the psychology needs to change more than the body. Because changing your body doesn't mean you won't continue to find other things your dissatisified with about yourself.
They are choosing their response to societal pressure, its everyone's responsibility to deal with these pressures. The vast majority of women dont get surgery.
@Dragoslav Vega The Brazilian Nationalists Them having internalized anti-blackness and being racist has nothing to do with the fact this man is attractive. A lot of Brazilians are black or have black ancestry, so they hate where they came from and the blood flowing through their own veins. Pretty sad because African features are amazing.
Brazilian women are beautiful and they wear literally nothing to the beach, its their culture. They dont need to be lectured and ridiculed by some politically correct British liberal asshole. GTFO.
Jammy joe Doesn't matter what you think. We're better than you and you know it. That's why you're trying so hard to make us hate our God given features. That's like me making fun of you for having no lips. To me that's disgusting, but that's how God made you and some whites like it so I never mention it🤷🏾♂️
as a brazillian, i'm deeply ashamed there are people getting cosmetic surgery through the health system, while my grandma is struggling to get her diabetes meds
She’ll continue to struggle, if still alive, to get diabetes meds in a society that is using Ozempic to lose weight. It’s a legit diabetes medication that is now being prescribed off label as a weight loss aid. Yay huh? So, this world is more enamored with beauty than in taking care of true illnesses.
I'm sorry about your grandmother. It's an unusual situation where I live in Rio Grande do Sul. But I think it may vary depending on your state. What I suggest from my own experience is to contact a doctor at your neighborhood health center and explain the case. Ask him to write a special request for medicines. The court has seven days to respond. This is how I got my mother's special medicines which cost 2,000 reais because she needs these medicines to live. She had kidney surgery and has two more scheduled, all free of charge. However, you have to navigate the bureaucracy and prove that it is a serious case. It's very strange not to have diabetes medicine for your grandmother. My family has five diabetics and they receive all the meditations, but I believe it can vary from region to region. Go to the health center and try to find out. Sometimes changing the health post unit can speed up the process. Good luck.
When I was in Brazil 15 years ago, I was amazed at how beautiful the women were and how NATURAL they all were. They didn't wear makeup, no padded bras, and wore tiny outfits without shame when it was hot. At the time I was still coming off of teenage insecurities and working on my confidence, and spending time in Brazil where there was zero emphasis on makeup and big boobs, for me was a turning point. So I don't know what changed..
Nothing changed! This is a sensationalist video! I've lived in Brazil for many years and plastic surgery is not something normal that everyone speaks about it as the documentary tries to portray. There is indeed a big part of the population who cares about that but there is a much bigger part of the population that doesn't.
Numbers don't lie, it seems like one of your best kepted secrets. Scars heal, you think you're looking at natural beauty but how are you certain....YOUR NOT
i feel like he is looking down on them and even try to draw the racist card over somebodies personal insecurities like really open noseholes, not every black person has holes like that he is not blind he is just insensitive and had to make it about him
Alex Santoro Many American surgeons (and others in the world) take after the work of brilliant artistic Brazilian surgeons, such as the famous Ivo Pitangui. Growing up in Brazil I didn’t know much about plastic surgery, in middle school to teenage years, but I have heard of Pintangui. That just gives you an idea on how big that guy was. But he was known as an artist, which is probably one of the reasons why he was so famous. On the other hand, the standards of beauty and importance of beauty that is projected onto women is so high that made people like me, someone considered pretty, not to think of herself as being pretty (back then) because of those standards. And I was a thin white blue-eyed blond girl. Well, I was dark blond back then but, nonetheless... Too bad I couldn’t see it back then. One thing is for sure though: if I still lived in Rio, even though I’m still thin, I would probably put more emphasis in exercise and beauty routines if I still lived there... of course with Rio being a beach city, the beach in a way is your backyard, and it’s not like everyone puts an emphasis on looking perfect, for young people though, the way the media picks beautiful people to be their actresses and reporters, and you do have a fair amount of pretty people around, all that influences people. It’s hard not to be influenced by your culture, as much as you don’t always agree with it. There is the side of health though that I admire: people also want to care for themselves fir health. You don’t have to necessarily go to a gym to be healthy, so besides eating well, for example there is a national forest inside the city that people like to go for hikes and bike rides, people naturally walk a lot bc it’s a walkable city, and on Sundays, on the wide double-street boulevards, the whole street closest to the beach (that’s like at least 3 lanes wide), on Ipanema and Copacabana beaches for example, are closed for people to walk: with their families, take the kid on the stroller, or ride your bike (even though there are bike lanes by the side of the side walk, from end to end of the beaches), so people can have a huge amount of free space to enjoy by the beach without having to go to the beach if you don’t wish to and exercise or simply have a relaxed walk and chat with friends along the way. Can’t tell if I miss home or not though...it’s been a while since I’ve been back. Anyway, that was more info than I thought I was going to share 😆 good night! And sorry, will not revise my grammar and punctuation... it’s late and my phone’s glass it totally shattered! 😝 ✌️ (ps: we def use the peace sign a lot! But dont do the ok 👌 sign over there though! That is a bad/offensive sign in Brazil) 🤪
No darling. Most tecnhinques for body sculpture come from Latin America. Brazil, Colombia, DR are the best at it. In Brazilin Pitangui is really famous, in DR Dr. Duran.
She had the surgery in a public hospital, I’m from Brazil and I thought it was impossible to get plastic surgery in a public hospital, the hospital doesn’t look good but doctors that work in public hospitals are more well prepared
When people stop investing in education this is what you get. I believe education and manners will get you a job, if you count on beauty to get a job good luck when you are old. Age comes for all.
They did tests with babies and they went towards Good looking faces over ugly ones. Ugly in humans comes from being unnatural looking or sickly. Bald women aren't attractive because it shows disease. Malshapen bodies (whether from being too fat or skinny) makes us think they are sick or with parasites. Scrawny men don't look like they can provide Its for survival because you don't want to be mating with someone whose genes suck. All humans with correct reasoning want what's best for themselves. It's not shallow to want to look at an attractive male or female. It's Normal.
david roskelley I believe your whole point is shallow. Just because we are attractive to beauty it does not mean we can’t be attractive to other things. It does mean we are not attractive to different, to intelligent minds, to honesty, good and kind. I believe most women still choose a husband based on character and not beauty. And if I’m wrong that explains so many bad marriages. To want to change so other people are attractive you is shallow and superficial and guess what one will still age and not realize the important thing in life wasn’t beauty as they might never accept to age normally. Beauty on the outside means nothing if the inside has nothing to offer.
Me too! I've seen him before and he has a great voice too! I must say though he has spoilt the interview by mentioning the race thing as black folks cant seem to leave that alone even when in Brazil.
Absolutely they are Rihanna is drop dead gorgeous but has a wide nose it fits her face a thin nose is not for everyone and what I noticed all the actual African women I met from Africa have small noses it's the southern Asians and Pacific islander who have a wider nose.
It’s crazy because all of those women were already really beautiful. Not in a cheesy “every human is beautiful” way but, they truly were all beautiful and diverse. It’s sad that the world makes women feel like they’re less than. I feel this pressure all the time and it truly sucks and it’s too the point that I don’t know I’d I’ll ever truly be confident.
Those stretched out bellies are not “beautiful and diverse”, yes they are natural and not a problem, just stop saying they are beautiful because it’s hypocritical and destroys the meaning of beauty. If everything is beautiful there is no need for the word beauty. But it exists and it means something
As a brazilian I can say without doubt, we can be really genial when being mean. Things people usually say to poke fun at others in other countries are too soft and "childish" for us. I'm pretty sure we have jokes about how brazilian problem is the brazilian, because we know brazilian have qualities to make big (like creativity) out there, but we use it to foolish purposes instead of for good things.
You should come to Africa. The hospitals can't even give surgeries to those who need them due to illnesses .N no one unless famous Pple know what plastic surgery is about.
Talksense Yes there’s “Black” people with small noses . What does that have to do with the statement I made ? Wider noses & fuller lips are common among people of African decent
Talksense did you even watch the video while your in the comments trying to spark arguments . It even says in there that she got the wide nose from her fathers side who happens to be of African decent ( black )
Talksense she clearly says “ the black race is beautiful but she doesn’t feel good about her appearance “ . Before you decide to start pressing buttons and running off at the mouth on the internet please make sure you have your facts together
Aloha that should be something that is disclosed to patients getting any kind of surgery or anesthetic, as to why their prices are lower. People may rethink if it’s something they want to risk.
My orthodontist was a student and they were practicing a new technique. We went with them because I didn't want a headgear. But he had been a dentist for a few years already. It isn't as bad as it sounds lol
People ask if there is such a thing as toxic femininity. Well this is one aspect of it, the idea that physical beauty is the only thing that matters in women.
As a Korean, I feel our thunder being stolen. I thought overdoing plastic surgery and ending up looking like every other person in the country was our thing. :(
Alex Yun I think your country is more fixed at the double eyelid part and the slim body + fair skin 😂 but I don’t think that like in Brazil it’s the first priority. Pls correct me if I’m wrong
These women want to feel good, who are we to judge them? English people can be such assholes Stop judging us and stop trying to make the world in your image. Oh and fuck your fish and chips and hot beer
Augusto if being REALISTIC is judging than so be it. Reality is reality and reality is that you botox lip fillered butt bloated breast implanted fuck ups have MANY insecurities and need to find rationality in your life
As a mixed race Brazilian this documentary was so incredibly well put and respectful, the reporter covered everything and was really kind as well. Race in Brazil is a complex subject there has been a lot of mixing due to a eugenics movement which was so subtle that people hardly noticed (look up Politica de Branqueamento “whitening policies”) - so to this day Brazil is very diverse. Therefore, there is no set beauty standard in a way as most people tend to pick and mix from different ethnic features that they think suits them when they consider plastic surgery. It’s really a shame because there is that pressure for women over here to look as beautiful as possible so opportunities come to you easier. I was saddened to watch Diana be insecure about her nose because I personally saw no flaws in her whatsoever, hopefully one day though women from around the world will look inwards when they search for beauty and realise how they already are beautiful.
so if society tells you you're not pretty enough, you should go and do what society tells you. a lot of these women are not even doing it for themselves, they're doing it because its what they are told they need to do to be accepted
jus' lmao and they can’t help the way they feel, anybody else would be the same. they don’t run to alter their appearance because they want to spend the money and feel the pain afterwards. they do it because they are bought up and functioned to pick apart their insecurities
I've noticed that in Brazil where I went two times for few months, but it's also the only place in the world (and I traveled a lot) where I felt totally free to wear anything, and saw many overweighted ladies in bikini with even very muscular handsome guys. I never got it, how they can feel so free be to as they want to be and at the same time doing so much surgery.
This is only in costal cities tho, i live in Belo Horizonte, a big city but very very far from the sea, i see tourists coming here after like a week in Rio, Salvador etc and walking in the streets in bikinis and thing like that, and it really isn't like that (and they may have to pay a fee for that, too)
Kadia Palmer how? It’s free under the Brazilian health care system - a constitutional right. She didn’t have to pay anything because it’s part of the services available under SUS
*I'm brazilian and I can tell you how much this whole situation scares me! People here are super judgemental on other people's looks and it does affect your life in many different levels - from your love life to your career! Yet, I'm against plastic surgery just for the hell of it because there are so many risks and costs involved and a lot of people just wait for a miracle to happen, they don't follow a proper diet and don't exercise after surgery then they go back to their original shape real quickly. Plus it costs a lot of money in a country where the minimum wage is about 300 US dollars per month. I never did any procedure myself, but I know a lot of people who did, and honestly most of them remained very close to what they used to look like before surgery...*
Holandesa19 I'm in Australia, I feel like Brazilians dnt wanna see anyone being pretty, they so so so comparative people(Women) I feel like most Brazilaians women are full of Jealousy.sorry but I'm sure you know it
Just because you would never get one for YOUR reasons doesn’t mean NO ONE should be able to get plastic surgery. I’m Brazilian. People made my life shit because of my nose. I hated myself. I cried everyday looking at the mirror because I looked disgusting. I just got a nose job. Simple as that. I knew the risks, I had the money, I found an amazing doctor. My best feature now is my nose, everyone loves it. I love it, I feel a lot better.
All of that just to say that: EVERYONE has the right to do WHATEVER they want with their bodies. You can’t judge people for getting plastic surgery. They’re doing it for themselves, because they want to. Again: knowing the risks, having the money and finding a good doctor the person should be okay.
I lived in Indonesia and it's the same here. People are being very judgemental even when they didn't look pretty themselves. Edit: Yet getting a plastic surgery is considered as taboo. So you're basically being shamed for getting born the way you are.
Let's see them take care of their mind and soul, and not do these things to look better for men, which is really the whole idea if you're honest. That's not taking care..that's vanity and they're not going to be really happy deeply just because they have a 'perfect body'
Raquel Macdonald SAD is some woman thinks the only thing they need to be attractive, it's fake hair, fake nails, and a bunch of make-up, while they are over weight .Brazilian women likes look good NAKED, what's wrong with that????
So the country that is often hailed as having the most beautiful women in the world has one of the highest cosmetic surgery rates in the world. Interesting.
Exactly..just like how they say Colombia has the most beautiful women..while they may have a lot of beautiful women..its so much plastic surgery going on there just like everywhere else. Everybody has their beautiful and ‘unattractive’ people
I completely disagree with the plastic surgeon saying that aesthetic plastic surgery is a way of phycology treatment Being Brazilian myself I have been discriminated against my way of thinking, body, fashion and surprisingly my skin color (being pale and things like that) the problem that is causing all of this crazy plastic surgeries is Brazilian society itself, we don't want to admit it, but our country is chained to a unrealistic body standard where multiple races are joined in one, our country is racist and sexist and that's the biggest problem with us
Marilyn Willett …it's not my real picture? And racism happens to anyone, I'm sorry you think just because I'm white doesn't mean I can't be a victim of racist comments
This is really sad there is nothing wrong with her nose and I don't understand why everyone hates African features when it comes to the noses and skin color but will be quick to get a fake ass and hips! There is nothing wrong with loving what God gave you or enhancing it if you feel bad but not because of pressure from others though
Rafaela B. I can relate to you.here in indian continent people are obsessed with fairness. And many dark people hate their color.i think it's because they are taught by the society that fair is better.but as a dark man,i prefer dark woman to be more beautiful
Genie Last had to go back to check the lashes, since I did not notice those first time... but now I know why, lashes are long yes but my son has similar lashes so no wonder lashes looked normal to me
So true..i it was me i would go to the gym..spend money in vegetables and fruits..save the rest for the future...come on...TWO KIDS!!! one of them has TWO FREAKING kids!!!..Some people are not ready to become a parent..maybe never will..
Rui Tamele EHHHH WRONG. wooo boi if you’re this dumb to think that poverty isn’t a failure of the system or government in place then you must of failed college. Poverty happens because groups or people’s are exploited into it, why do you think all the people on the pretty touristy beach were all white and all the poor people were brown and black, because they’re systemically persecuted. People never ask to be poor and they certainly can’t help it, you’re only true option into anything else is by luck if you’re not already born into it. On top of all that, that’s just mad disrespectful to all of those tired people working their ass off FOR THEIR KIDS AND FAMILY. Poor people are he hardest workers because they got no choice, they work 5 different jobs cuz they have to and you’re gonna blame them?? This women in this video was probably saving up for years because essentially she got bullied into feeling so insecure that she felt that it was necessary- and you’re gonna blame that person???
actually, it's not so common here in Korea to make a serious invasive plastic surgery. As was mentioned an eyelids surgery is the most common type, which is in fact not really a surgery more like a cosmetic procedure such as a acne scars removing.
I'm a beautiful black thick women. Even though I came across skin bleaching products I don't do it. My nose is bold and it's unique believe me when I say it defines who I am. I am not ashamed of myself. How you look at me or what you say about me doesn't matter. God created me like this and I love it.
@@victorlucassantanarosa9884 It is the opposite. The people should improve schools and hospitals. Not the government. Don't wait anything from the government

Triste!
Nikolai Maharaj I feel like everyone just has a ‘face’ for me until I get to know them. If they’re assholes, they’re ugly. If they’re good people, they’re beautiful. It’s a weird thing, but it helps me as I don’t judge others.
Well, I’m Brazilian and I am absolutely shocked with this documentary! I knew Brazil was one of the biggest countries for plastic surgery, but I never thought it was that bad. I’m not trying to sound obnoxious, but it seems like this fixation is stronger on families with lower levels of education. I’m not rich by any means, but I got an scholarship to a very nice privet school in Brazil and because of that, I got the chance to enter a very good university. NEVER in my group of friends and colleagues have I seen such obsession for physical perfection. Yes, Brazilian women love to look good, but spending every penny on plastic surgery is still alarming to me. The very few people I know who had plastic surgeries had enough money to pay for it without much trouble. So seeing these women struggling so much to pay the bills and still prioritizing surgery shocks me tremendously.
It is a fact that better looking people get more opportunity, especially when it comes to jobs. Once a person pays for a "nose job" she has it for the rest of her life, so it can be a good investment, not just money wasted. If it gives her more confidence, then that will show.
Love the reporter...he is subtle ,gentle ,inquisitive and knows how to ask without embarrassing the person....fabulous reporter, plus a bloody nice guy.
@@BigButtPaperWings we still look more similar between ourselves than to subsaharan africans and native americans. i'm portuguese and have had many people tell me i look polish or russian, for example. you can also read european as "white", if it makes more sense to you.
It’s not just a matter of fixing their insecurities. It’s the fact that they are insecure to begin with that’s wrong. Women are clearly pressured to “fix” a perfectly functioning body because the standards of outer “beauty” require that of them. So yes you could say “leave them alone, they’re doing what makes them happy” but isn’t it sad that it takes a whole surgery to make them happy? Can’t they be pleased with how they look already? They can’t because they see that others have “made themselves happy” and feel pressured to keep up with the standard.
its not about looking good, its about the culture... if the fashion was to have a third ear on your forehead and famoaus people had it and the models had it, trust me people would follow lol
I relate to this all too much as I’m still recovering from my surgery that took place a month ago. I travelled from Australia to my home country and underwent rhinoplasty surgery that I, a 17 year old girl, paid for all by myself. This is only because the procedure was so cheap, you wouldn’t believe it if I told you the price. When I sat down with my doctor in the consultation, I realised just how common a nose job is over there, for both men and women, even those my age. In my home country getting a nose job is like going out to get milk. My nose was a stereotypically “Arab” nose that was long and hooked on the sides, and I will never forget the torment and bullying I suffered from all my life because of it. Now I’m very happy with the results, and happy I saved up my own money for the procedure.
I didnt kniw about this. Just adding it at the: what my taxes go off to, and is a waste. Then dont consider depression as a sickeing, but of course if i sayd to them that it wouod fix with changing my nose or making a lipo sure they would have payed for it. Thanks my beautiful country.
Hun.. its about what their country deem beautiful . there are enough features that i find cute in Korean, viet etc... but they themselves don't care about those. i stopped telling people " but you look pretty without x, y,z" because its just does not compute in their culture.
The pressure to be perfect in brazil is crazy. I was born and raised in brazil, I'd never go out my place without straightening my hair or without makeup on. The only time I did that someone told me anonymously how ugly I was. When I moved to canada I started to learn how to love myself a little bit more, because not everything is about your appearance. I don't care that much about how my hair looks and no longer wear makeup every time I go out my house. People in brazil are highly hypocritical and ignorant.
I'm brazilian and I can tell that this documentary is purely genuine about how we feel about appearance. I live in the UK and I've noticed that most of women in here doesn't really have beauty as their priority. I guess people in Britain care more about political, religious and other matters. Sometimes this obsession that we have in Brazil for aesthetics goes beyond limits. It's not wrong or right but I feel more comfortable in England in terms of beauty. Even though some women already said I'm a bit over the top (which I don't think) because I became quite casual after a while in here.
We are. All you see on the tv and the movies here is european looking people. The people of color are always thieves, maids, drug dealers or the unnatractive sidecks.
TheZchristina97 I don't understand why people are so shameful of plastic surgery, it has nothing to do with "European beauty standards" because European beauty standards are extremely different then those across the world especially Brazil. These women aren't sick for wanting to change something about themselves that they aren't personally happy about everyone is acting like these women are being forced.
Darlan Actually, it’s in our culture, we just don’t realize it. Most of the women I know have said they want to get breast implants or get their nose modified or so, and even I have caught myself thinking about getting a plastic surgery, which is something I don’t think I’d do unless it was a necessity for my health. Talk to the women you know and you’ll get shocked at how many of them want or have thought about getting a plastic surgery
People need to stop with this BS "all women are beautiful" thing. That's like saying "all men are handsome", when we know that's a lie. Be for real. Now Google Tarana Burke. Would you say she's "beautiful"?
Ok but would you rather want these women ending up killing themselves because they hate the way they look, let them have plastic surgery and it would improve their self-confidence.
Yes we do, thank you! And even tho these documentaries make it seem like it, most people here in Brazil dont have no plastic surgeries or even know anyone who does... that is more in Rio and even there it is not such a big phenomenon like they are making it seem. Most of us are just naturally beautiful and curvy.
Marco Mark Productions of course you would say that cause i guess the way a persons appears is an issue you know what people need to do is stop these unrealist Standards of beauty and setting them as a goal what people need to do is give that money and energy on something else and stop blaming the women who bring and populated the earth to be something their not and i wonder why women are insercure lets be realistic you men praise fake women and when i mean fake i literal mean from head to toe so when your calling a women ugly your also praising a ugly girl who got plastic surgery and your telling the women their is something wrong with her because she dosen't meet the Standards or apperences of your ideal women
My nose is not pretty at all and still I won't do nothing to change it, I have 5 kids so my belly and breasts keep the souvenir of pregnancies and breastfeeding, still I will never make anything to change it because they are part of my life . True beauty is in the heart .
hi. how are you today? my mom has five kids as well. I've only ever seen her stomach a couple of times in my 20 years. she doesn't talk about it because I think she feels that if she does, in some way she's regretting the birth of my siblings and me. Idk where I was going with this. I guess I just wanted to share/vent.
But you are beautiful....the fact that you have 5 kids means scientifically you are attractive and your husband isn't the only one looking at something so lovely
You're not under the same society restrictions and pressure !those women Can not get a job because of their look, they are powerless and have got no choice!
I love everyone's unique look. I agree that those that have had plastic surgery can look good in a superficial way, the natural look is much more powerful.
but does no one feel that the women who got tummy tucks had actual deformed stomachs though? after giving birth? the first woman's stomach muscles were even separated because of childbirth. if a part of your body became unnatural for some reason wouldn't you also want to make it look normal again?
nieblamulticolor During pregnancy a woman's stomach stretches. That's why in my family I have always heard my grandmother, my mother, and my aunt's tell other women in the family to wait a few months after giving birth to recuperate so they can then start exercising on their stomach. Because the stomach has to be toned back to normal. You can lose the weight by eating less. But your stomach will literally stay flabby because of how stretched out it was. Some women are capable of bouncing right back with no problem but every woman's body is different. That's why a abdomen exercise is key.
You can not fix seperated muscels without surgery. They won't grow back together on its own or by doing situps. You have to sew them together again if you not want to look pregnant for the rest of your life.
nieblamulticolor If you rip a muscle in accident how they fix it??? sewing them toguether rigth? not all women have rip muscle after birth but some do so they fix it.
I really like how those women were honnest on their surgery, why they get it!! It's kind of an healthier way to deal with plastic surgery than denying it or finding excuses to justify that you just want to feel good about yourself! I think there's nothing wrong with that much!
I would like to see a video about plastic surgery in South Korea too and about their "surgery obsession", because in South Korea they are under a lot of pressure as well and looks are important in terms of getting a job.
it is not ALL of BRAZILLL BRazil is NOT just RJ.. those are the poor or very rich women./celebrities ..etc... and the ghetto women..those in the media.etc never the housewives..or others in the north east i 'm 52 mother of 5 and grandmother of 5 and never ever had any surgery or breast augmentation..neither i do my hair in salon..go only for a cut...non make ups..no botox.no fillings..no laser..no facial..nothingggggg natural..and i look pretty |naturally" young and my boobs are full
Just because you feel "natural beauty" is what they should focus on doesn't make it true. These are adults, they don't need someone telling them they're wrong, it's their body, if they want to fix it to whatever standard they want, it's fine. You don't live to make them happy so why should they care about what you think they should appreciate?
it may not be YOUR TRUTH.but it is MY NATURAL TRUTH for i would not jeopardize my health and waste money WITH stupid stuffs!! and the point i wanted to pass was: NOT ALL BRAZILIANS ARE AS FAKE AS THEY MAKE THEM UP TO BE UNDERSTAND? @@nicolesantana9601 Yeah, I live on São Paulo the biggest city on Brazil and people here aren't so obsessed for seeking a perfect body like in Rio de Janeiro (the city from the video). I think people are way more obsessed on Rio de Janeiro than in São Paulo because Rio is way hotter than São Paulo and they have a lot of beaches so their inhabitant use less clothes and show way more their bodies, otherwise they are going to fry with Rio de Janeiro's heat or they are going to feel bad when they are walking on the beaches since this activaty is pretty common there.
he’s in rio de janeiro, which is the “cali” of brazil so I don’t think this “documentary” was fair bc I live in another state here in brazil and it’s not like that at all
K ...WE ARE TALKING ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE RIGHT NOW. Unfortunately, society's beauty standards already acknowledge anything that is NOT black is so called beautiful. You stating every race is beautiful is REDUNDANT.
I never liked my nose . However since my dad died , I look in the mirror and get a little reminder of him . So I am quite happy with it now . 👃☺😘
my sister says the same but about her bow legs. it is like our dad's. and they keep the memory alive.
That's very sweet

Hope you’re doing well , I’m sure your dad would be proud of you for not changing who you are xx
" Plastic surgery can help people feel more normal but in a country as racially diverse as Brazil, its hard to know what normal looks like. " How profound
Agreed! That statement really stuck with me.
Latin people. We are like that. Racially diverse
Everyone is in search of a beauty that doesn't realy exist.
"Everyone is in search of a beauty that doesnt exist"....just wow 😔
They got to feel it from within
Funny...she says that after having her nose done 😕
Great comment big like
Yvonne Mofokeng I think that's what makes the comment stick.
So the problem is society?
@@sekoaibThere are cultures where people OFTEN make out loud comments about your looks or sit and look at people waking by.
It’s that way in America as well as other countries; I think in the UK people value people’s inner beauty more
@iluvanimals4evr I'm from the UK and I wish I could relate😅
@@your_princesa_isabelg In Anglo-Saxon country, beauty matters but not to the same extent as other places. In many places, it matters more than inner beauty and sometimes inner beauty doesn’t matter at all.
Women GLOBALLY are ridiculously pressured to fit a particular standard of beauty...it's heartbreaking.
Most of the pressure is from women, not men. So if you're looking to blame someone, blame women.
I know.. women are being left behind. I blame it on male Dominance and machismo. Also women liberals pushing their agendas trying to become men, knowing damn right it’s biologically impossible. A society that’s expecting women to be perfect, women having to cook, clean, take care of children, work pay bills, and still make time to keep up with their personal appearance..
keika Trinity back then it was men pressuring women. now it's women pressuring women.
SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!!!!
So over there women want "an African body" but a "European face".
Interesting.
We all know what they mean by an "African body"
That interviewer is so kind and genuine and handsome. He makes me feel like I shouldn’t change myself
@Talksense your username is ironic because what you said does not make sense
I can't totally agree I think he was a bit agressive with the doctors at the hospital, they are plastic surgeons, they do plastic surgery, it's their job and these surgeries need to be done just like any other, even if just for astheatics
Letícia D. Why is it that the people who have names like “truthseeker” and “talksense” always have the most incoherent rants in all caps?

Brazil sounds a lot like South Korea? Different features they want, but similar culture. Discrimination on women's appearances. Jobs tied in to good looks. Lots of clinics, social pressure to get surgery, cheaper options for the "everyday woman".
I heard about South Korea. Just sad.
There's a Brazilian man who wanted to look like a South Korean.
The reporter is very confident and relaxed in his own skin, that's what makes him so intriguing.
Couldn't stop looking at the reporter....

Maverick Mitchel well he can speak Haitian French Creole.
These insecurities were not something they could help they were forced on them and this video is literally showing that,
Aly Lopez
No one is born insecure. Obviously someone had to tear them down to feel this way.
Right
@@tinahuang3650 right, i agree with you 100% girl u said it exactly how it needed to be said my dumbass just agreeing lol im not always that well with words but im thinkin tha same thing i feel like its even like tht here in tha us
+Aly Lopez Yes, but people are also responsible for how they deal with insecurities.
"No no not Michael Jackson, por favor" lmao
Hahaha

there are people getting cosmetic surgery through the health system, while my grandma is struggling to get her diabetes meds
Nãoooooooo🥺💔
Surgery is different than medications. Why is she not getting her meds?
Agree
Nothing, this video is a joke, i'm brazilian and i know that
aleks eva same in Dominican republic
Nothing changed! This is a sensationalist video! I've lived in Brazil for many years and plastic surgery is not something normal that everyone speaks about it as the documentary tries to portray. There is indeed a big part of the population who cares about that but there is a much bigger part of the population that doesn't.

I wonder how many Americans are going to Brazil for surgery after seeing this video? 🤔

Scrawny men don't look like they can provide
Its for survival because you don't want to be mating with someone whose genes suck.

You should come to Africa. The hospitals can't even give surgeries to those who need them due to illnesses .N no one unless famous Pple know what plastic surgery is about.
Not really in european countries. People who get plastic surgeries are shamed here
@Sol :3 I don't know about those places but I live in France and people who get those surgeries tends to hide it.
What a beautiful girl that Diana . Very unfortunate she can not see the beauty in her African roots
true
Talksense black people generally have bigger noses than caucasians. Don’t get offended by facts!
"They get to practice" that is scary a hell
Aloha hair cut and nails dont seem too bad because they grow back, dental is on the risk side too so yeah smh
I know! And on a nose job too, which is extra extra iffy
Aloha that should be something that is disclosed to patients getting any kind of surgery or anesthetic, as to why their prices are lower. People may rethink if it’s something they want to risk.
Aloha You must be board certified to do any surgery in the US! No practicing for lower price !
My orthodontist was a student and they were practicing a new technique. We went with them because I didn't want a headgear. But he had been a dentist for a few years already. It isn't as bad as it sounds lol
this reporter reminds me of twilight 's sexy vampire Laurent
Renesmee Orlin oh Yeah!!
Yeaa he is really handsome
True 😱
Renesmee Orlin u are right.
He reminds me of the predator from the movie of the alien 😂
The reporter is a very cute guy! :)
Emilia D I was just about to post a similar comment when I saw yours . he is beautiful
Emilia D I agree!!!
Emilia D I was thinking the same
Specially his eyelashes!! 😮
He’s very charming! 😘💐
This was broadcast first in 2013. I think South Korea has now become the cosmetic surgery capital of the world.
Yep
People ask if there is such a thing as toxic femininity. Well this is one aspect of it, the idea that physical beauty is the only thing that matters in women.
yeah
*Men created that problem so what are you talking about?*
This problem was created by men.
Lucy Devereaux And men feeling like they can’t express their emotions is encouraged by women to an extent. It doesn’t make it any less toxic.🤷🏾♀️
men doesnt say anything doesnt ask for anythinb .. its actually the wrong of who choose that path
Korea is the capital of drastic over the top plastic surgery
Lmaoo
Alex Yun it's not something to be proud of lol. Nothing against surgery but people need to accept themselves too
Actually, Brazil is not that crazy about it, principaly facial one. We focus more on body ones, like lipo, etc
Wow, it was sad to hear that the women put the pressure on each other. They discriminated against each other. I couldn't watch anymore. It was sad.
It happens all over the world :)
honestly, women judge other women wayyyyyyyy more than men judge women
Janeka I. yeah feminism blames patriachy for the failures of women but it's actually us.
Big or wide nose is just a common feature that is less attractive than small nose not matter where you live.
so if society tells you you're not pretty enough, you should go and do what society tells you. a lot of these women are not even doing it for themselves, they're doing it because its what they are told they need to do to be accepted
jus' lmao and they can’t help the way they feel, anybody else would be the same. they don’t run to alter their appearance because they want to spend the money and feel the pain afterwards. they do it because they are bought up and functioned to pick apart their insecurities
True
So sad😔
Lack of "self confidence"
No, they are affected by the society standards. They do it for themselves because they are part of the society, it’s engraved into their brains.
I'd say around here or you care too much, or you just don't care at all.
we care but we dont give a shit at the same time kskskskkkakkkk
This is only in costal cities tho, i live in Belo Horizonte, a big city but very very far from the sea, i see tourists coming here after like a week in Rio, Salvador etc and walking in the streets in bikinis and thing like that, and it really isn't like that (and they may have to pay a fee for that, too)
That one lady finessed the health care system
Kadia Palmer how? It’s free under the Brazilian health care system - a constitutional right. She didn’t have to pay anything because it’s part of the services available under SUS
Also she’s an EMPLOYEE of the said hospital.. #perks
True u can do it in America to if you know how?
Lmaooo
OH man this reporter is amazing
The reporter is very handsome. This video mainly focused on the women, but lots of men in Brazil are getting cosmetic surgeries for aesthetics now.
Talksense 👏🏽😌
Holandesa19 I'm in Australia, I feel like Brazilians dnt wanna see anyone being pretty, they so so so comparative people(Women) I feel like most Brazilaians women are full of Jealousy.sorry but I'm sure you know it
verdade
This is extremely extremely sad.
Raquel Macdonald extremely
Raquel Macdonald Not, its not. They are just taking care of themselves. Sad is the woman who doesn't care about her appearance just for laziness!
Let's see them take care of their mind and soul, and not do these things to look better for men, which is really the whole idea if you're honest. That's not taking care..that's vanity and they're not going to be really happy deeply just because they have a 'perfect body'
@@lorenamontibeller3519 taking care is taking bath use creams to face go to the gym eat well doing plastic cirurgy always is crazy and a obsession.
Raquel Macdonald SAD is some woman thinks the only thing they need to be attractive, it's fake hair, fake nails, and a bunch of make-up, while they are over weight .Brazilian women likes look good NAKED, what's wrong with that????
The reporter is flippin’ GORGEOUS!😍😍😍
So the country that is often hailed as having the most beautiful women in the world has one of the highest cosmetic surgery rates in the world. Interesting.
callalilly1988 that’s exactly what I thought lol I’m confused now. But that’s true anyways
Lol yeah as a Brazilian idk why some people considerate us as the most beautiful women well every country has beautiful people
There are ugly women here as well and they got to do something
callalilly1988 those things go head to head. They are not opposites!
Exactly..just like how they say Colombia has the most beautiful women..while they may have a lot of beautiful women..its so much plastic surgery going on there just like everywhere else. Everybody has their beautiful and ‘unattractive’ people
I completely disagree with the plastic surgeon saying that aesthetic plastic surgery is a way of phycology treatment
Being Brazilian myself I have been discriminated against my way of thinking, body, fashion and surprisingly my skin color (being pale and things like that) the problem that is causing all of this crazy plastic surgeries is Brazilian society itself, we don't want to admit it, but our country is chained to a unrealistic body standard where multiple races are joined in one, our country is racist and sexist and that's the biggest problem with us
it is not multiple, it is black. your pic looks like an asian guy.
Marilyn Willett …it's not my real picture? And racism happens to anyone, I'm sorry you think just because I'm white doesn't mean I can't be a victim of racist comments
I’m seeing more and more people with kpop stars as their profile pic 🧐
Maybe its true when my body has these problems theyre not aesthetic theyre functional:(
random artist on the internet Glad im not the only pale brazilian lmaoo im bullied for it rip.
This is really sad there is nothing wrong with her nose and I don't understand why everyone hates African features when it comes to the noses and skin color but will be quick to get a fake ass and hips! There is nothing wrong with loving what God gave you or enhancing it if you feel bad but not because of pressure from others though
But reality is that you only feel bad because of others... everything comes from an influence
Here in Brazil many black people are racist with themselves and each other.
Rafaela B. You cannot be racist towards yourself.
+shawntyflame
Yes you can, it's called self-hate
Rafaela B. I can relate to you.here in indian continent people are obsessed with fairness. And many dark people hate their color.i think it's because they are taught by the society that fair is better.but as a dark man,i prefer dark woman to be more beautiful
Gorgeous interview. Sensitivity, honesty, thoughtful and softened by humour. Thank you for the insight
Speaking of appearance, the presenter had the longest lashes I've seen.
Genie Last had to go back to check the lashes, since I did not notice those first time... but now I know why, lashes are long yes but my son has similar lashes so no wonder lashes looked normal to me
Poverty in it's finest. Spending thousands in irrelevant things instead of investing in education for them and their kids.
This os the country that i live, but we are fighting for changes. 💪
So true..i it was me i would go to the gym..spend money in vegetables and fruits..save the rest for the future...come on...TWO KIDS!!! one of them has TWO FREAKING kids!!!..Some people are not ready to become a parent..maybe never will..
or they're doing it so they get a higher paying job?? That lady literally said they wouldn't hire someone like her
get off your high fucking horse jfc
Rui Tamele beauty is what grants them opportunity, they are responding to the currency
They should do a series on South Korea. It's even worse there.
sherry kao already have
Y’all exaggerate damn
sherry kao Brazil only losses for the us in number of plastic surgeries
a bit, if you remove eye lid surgery it is not that bad
actually, it's not so common here in Korea to make a serious invasive plastic surgery.

So perde pros EUA

These women are talking about getting plastic surgery but they had flip phones. Priorities
And they live in the slums.
it was recorded 6 years ago
Smart phone already born 6yrs ago... But i agree priority
Better face and body can get you a better phone. Reverse is not true.
Flip phone can still call and text just fine. Better to spend money on plastic surgery than on silly phone games.
I’ve realized I find average looking people attractive if I like their personality
Same if I feel I have a true connection with them I'd absolutely love them
Nikolai Maharaj I feel like everyone just has a ‘face’ for me until I get to know them. If they’re assholes, they’re ugly. If they’re good people, they’re beautiful. It’s a weird thing, but it helps me as I don’t judge others.

Alright, not everyone is born as hot as this dude.

Would have loved to see the after.
The Cultural Vegan didn't you watch the full video?
The nose job after, couldn't see much with the bandages still on her nose.
Yes, I wanted to see the nose without bandages too.
*pikachu face*
Mediaaaaaaaaa
A pressão estética no Rio é bem maior que no resto do Brasil
It is a fact that better looking people get more opportunity, especially when it comes to jobs. Once a person pays for a "nose job" she has it for the rest of her life, so it can be a good investment, not just money wasted. If it gives her more confidence, then that will show.
Hahahah falou a branca que usa maquiagem kkk

the girl with the nose is so pretty. so sad that we learn to hate our features, particularly if you don't meet european beauty standards
teresamesa and what about all of the girls getting fat asses and wide hips?
Yet she has a professor “assess” her infront of a “class””
what does "european" even mean? i don't think you can compare for example portugal with hungary for example...
@@BigButtPaperWings we still look more similar between ourselves than to subsaharan africans and native americans.

you can also read european as "white", if it makes more sense to you.
can we appreciate how pretty the host is? those eyelashes killed me..

Gwinyai Dhliwayo well I think we can’t really judge them cuz she has to look in the mirror and hate herself which she doesn’t deserve
I feel bad for those pips who still doesnt see their natural beauty
Agree. With so many people dying in Brasil needing health, serious health treatment, SUS is paying for tummy tuck. Really? Priorities 😒
You don't live here so you don't know, the SUS saved my mother's life
Gabriela Lima could have save more life and less tummy tuck 😒😒😒
I didnt kniw about this. Just adding it at the: what my taxes go off to, and is a waste.
Then dont consider depression as a sickeing, but of course if i sayd to them that it wouod fix with changing my nose or making a lipo sure they would have payed for it. Thanks my beautiful country.
The Tillman Review tf u Talking about , its better for the GOVMT to THROW MONEY in EDUCATION AND HEALTHCARE then fuckin tummy tuck.

These women are beautiful! I just don’t understand why they don’t see that.. 😯
Ems Roche the society has created this culture. The pushy and greedy doctors are exploiting this fact. Ugh. 😞
Hun.. its about what their country deem beautiful . there are enough features that i find cute in Korean, viet etc... but they themselves don't care about those. i stopped telling people " but you look pretty without x, y,z" because its just does not compute in their culture.
why does it matter if they want to get bigger breast to feel better. its the same as a haircut/hair color, makeup
Self hate
The pressure to be perfect in brazil is crazy. I was born and raised in brazil, I'd never go out my place without straightening my hair or without makeup on. The only time I did that someone told me anonymously how ugly I was. When I moved to canada I started to learn how to love myself a little bit more, because not everything is about your appearance. I don't care that much about how my hair looks and no longer wear makeup every time I go out my house. People in brazil are highly hypocritical and ignorant.
The nose girl has a beautiful skin♥️♥️♥️♥️
I'm obsessed with natural glowing skin so I'm always noticing
I'm brazilian and I can tell that this documentary is purely genuine about how we feel about appearance. I live in the UK and I've noticed that most of women in here doesn't really have beauty as their priority. I guess people in Britain care more about political, religious and other matters. Sometimes this obsession that we have in Brazil for aesthetics goes beyond limits. It's not wrong or right but I feel more comfortable in England in terms of beauty. Even though some women already said I'm a bit over the top (which I don't think) because I became quite casual after a while in here.
Wow Brazilians are so diverse and beautiful. It's a shame they're still mentally enslaved to the european beauty standard.
thats crazy to me. Self hatred is real
But it’s not a euro beauty standard because Europeans with bigger, chunkier or hooked noses also get surgery.
Superficial I feel bad for young girls that are brought up this way. This is a disease YOU are beautiful the way you are.
Agree
Yes i do agree with you...but every people has their own choice...its hard to give a new change in psycology...of people.
That's nice but doesn't really hold true for those who really dislike a certain feature.
People need to stop with this BS "all women are beautiful" thing. That's like saying "all men are handsome", when we know that's a lie. Be for real. Now Google Tarana Burke. Would you say she's "beautiful"?
Ok but would you rather want these women ending up killing themselves because they hate the way they look, let them have plastic surgery and it would improve their self-confidence.

the journalist has strikingly gorgeous eyes! very handsome
They look good though
Yes we do, thank you! And even tho these documentaries make it seem like it, most people here in Brazil dont have no plastic surgeries or even know anyone who does... that is more in Rio and even there it is not such a big phenomenon like they are making it seem. Most of us are just naturally beautiful and curvy.
after surgery yes
But you are beautiful....the fact that you have 5 kids means scientifically you are attractive and your husband isn't the only one looking at something so lovely
good for you nobody cares
Yea right
You're not under the same society restrictions and pressure !those women Can not get a job because of their look, they are powerless and have got no choice!
I agree, though. And i felt the male reporter was a little judgey about it too.
You can not fix seperated muscels without surgery. They won't grow back together on its own or by doing situps. You have to sew them together again if you not want to look pregnant for the rest of your life.
nieblamulticolor If you rip a muscle in accident how they fix it??? sewing them toguether rigth? not all women have rip muscle after birth but some do so they fix it.
this reporter is handsome :)

I really like how those women were honnest on their surgery, why they get it!! It's kind of an healthier way to deal with plastic surgery than denying it or finding excuses to justify that you just want to feel good about yourself! I think there's nothing wrong with that much!

Diógenes Cruz I think it's sad because they have an idea that natural is not beautiful nd so many women turn to surgery. That's what sad
it is not ALL of BRAZILLL
BRazil is NOT just RJ..
those are the poor or very rich women./celebrities ..etc... and the ghetto women..those in the media.etc
never the housewives..or others in the north east
i 'm 52 mother of 5 and grandmother of 5 and never ever had any surgery or breast augmentation..neither i do my hair in salon..go only for a cut...non make ups..no botox.no fillings..no laser..no facial..nothingggggg
natural..and i look pretty |naturally" young and my boobs are full
Yes
Just because you feel "natural beauty" is what they should focus on doesn't make it true. These are adults, they don't need someone telling them they're wrong, it's their body, if they want to fix it to whatever standard they want, it's fine. You don't live to make them happy so why should they care about what you think they should appreciate?
it may not be YOUR TRUTH.but it is MY NATURAL TRUTH
for i would not jeopardize my health and waste money WITH stupid stuffs!!
and the point i wanted to pass was:
NOT ALL BRAZILIANS ARE AS FAKE AS THEY MAKE THEM UP TO BE
UNDERSTAND?
AINT NO ASIAN..ARABS .NORTH AMERICAN..EUROPEAN.OR........BRAZILIAN FROM THE SOUTH EAST
so you want to make me ...follow the marys and jonh
to feel that i "belong" with what your all think
IT IS RIGHT?
YOU SEE
YOUR LIVE IN A KIND OF WORLD THAT THINKS THAT ALL THE PEOPLE OUGHT TO BE "gAYS" LESBIANS AND GO ABOUT LAYING WITH JUST ABOUT ANYONE AND HAVE TO MAINTAIN A CERTAIN STANDARDS SO AS TO.......SATISFY THE HYPOCRITES
AFFFF!!!
I remember when at a time, Brazilian women were known as some of the most body confident women on the planet, don't really know how this came to be...
This is not the truth. Plastic surgery is not this common in brazilian's society. Most women here accept their natural body.
@@nicolesantana9601 ah I see
@@Angie-im2qw lmao
@@nicolesantana9601 But the statistics of Brazilians getting plastic surgery doesn't say so. Good thing it's now only in the second after South Korea.
Still laughing at oxygen thief
Ciocco Lato lmaooo ikr
Same. Whoever came up with that is a legend.
Angee Kas not really. It's a popular insult among children and teens
bruv, im dead. :'D
Very very very popular in Mozambique too (african portuguese speaking country)
In the US, here it’s rare to see people who have had plastic surgery. But if your in Cali it’s a different story
In Nashville, it’s facelifts, big boobs, and big mouth bass lips. Crazy looking.
he’s in rio de janeiro, which is the “cali” of brazil so I don’t think this “documentary” was fair bc I live in another state here in brazil and it’s not like that at all
self hate is universal, thanks
12:33 The journalist has such beautiful and unique features himself . 😍
flowerpress1 Every race is beautiful ❤
flowerpress1 *everyone's is beautiful by their own
K ...WE ARE TALKING ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE RIGHT NOW. Unfortunately, society's beauty standards already acknowledge anything that is NOT black is so called beautiful. You stating every race is beautiful is REDUNDANT.
Tanya yeah man can i get his eyes 🙈🙉🙊
Why do black women think every black guy on a video is fine? he looks totally average.
lord he is beautiful
Yes he is. Especially his eyes. " fans self"
and without getting surgery..how about that?
I'm jealous
I was getting distracted by his eyelashes every two seconds.
Really gorge
I cannot believe the surgery is free 😵 That’s insane.
well, her muscles were literally torn, it isn’t just a “cosmetic” thing, they are not supposed to be separated so it’s also a health situation
