Fair to say the Eurofighter is more likely to come up against SU35, the Ruskies haven’t flown a Felon over Ukraine 🇺🇦airspace yet and probably never will to save face for when it’s inevitably shot down.
Also, in this particular fight, it would have to be an all or nothing for Russia. This fight would represent all of Russia’s operational SU57’s…
I’d imagine this fight happening over Moscow. No other way would the Kremlin commit give-or-take all of their Felons in one knife fight…
Great content!
Would love to see a Qatari Eurofighter vs Pakistani J10c as done some weeks back in friendly exercises in Zilazil ii
In real life The Meteor’s data-link also has two-way capability, so the pilot could re-target the missile while it is already on its way. Or it can be fired blindly in pitbull mode and if a target is found later the Meteor missile can be targeted to it. The pilot can also see the missile's fuel, energy and tracking state in real-time. Sadly the DCS game engine cannot support all the neat stuff modern hardware can do.
su57 is missing r37
Really? How do you know that? You’re gonna get Marshaled.
@@equallyeasilyfuqyou All of that is publicly available information. The two-way data-link info is in the MBDA Meteor brochure. Only some details of it are classified.
ruZZia cant Produce this anyway lol
"In real life The Meteor’s data-link also has two-way capability,"
With the Typhoon and the Gripen C/D that is, not all aircraft that carries Meteor.
A lot of the world sleep on the typhoon and how good it really is. The typhoon can beat f15’s and f16’s in dogfights and it stands a very good chance of beating the su57 and f22 but the pilot really has to push the plane to beat a thrust vectored aircraft. The typhoon is genuinely a deadly aircraft with it being a 4.5 Gen. It’s more deadly with the accuracy of those meteors.
Matrix is a serious player to have on your team, if he gets hit early he is an absolute pro GCI and if he doesnt hes the last guy you want to be with in a dog fight (see su57 thrust vectoring video)!
Sadly the latest GR Su-57 version does not have Thrust Vectoring. I had to turn it off because it was causing problems with the AI pilots :( Terrible in a dogfight now :(

Meteor: Pushing 2200 knots. 😢
I want 5000 knots!
I always thought of the UK as having a pretty big and well funded army. Given the whole Carrier and Submarine business. And you know, being proud of it. Suprised to learn recently how different it actually is.
UK'S Navy ain't the best right now, but they are working on it.
We have more airframes but a lack of spare parts. Some bad blood since brexit had delayed military hardware being delivered. Its called the EUROfighter after all.
Well our idiot politicians are hell bent on giving most of it to Ukraine.
Naa. We've had a conservative government for over a decade. We're ripe for invasion if you wanna export some freedom our way.
@@TheHoneyThief so pirates can start pirating again? I heard employment for piracy is down.
Outstanding fight guys, really shows tactics and how it pans out!
Round 1 was intense. Round 2 was an absolute slugfest. I think the Meteor is a far more dangerous missile than the R-77M. The Su-57 whilst still a dangerous aircraft is not the bogeyman it was made out to be and it's reputation over the past 10 years has gone downhill in most peoples estimates.
Great content. Well played chaps👍

It will be interesting to see if Romania can defend it's Deveselu Aegis Ashore installation against ballistic/cruise missiles using it's own air defense systems:
- 17 F-16 AM/BM block 15 MLU (equipped with latest version of AIM-120 and AIM-9);
- 4 MIM-104 Patriot batteries (PAC-2 GEM-T and PAC-3 MSE missiles);
- 8 MIM-23 Hawk PIP-III batteries;
- 6 S-75 "Dvina"/SA-2 "Guideline" batteries (S-75M3 modernized version);

- 72 Oerlikon GDF-003 cannons;
- 250 S-60 autocannons.

Proper job from you as always... well played and very enjoyable to watch.
This was actually really interesting, 4++ gen VS semi 5th gen
not semi it is 5th
@@Editzify I mean it also isn’t really stealth, the big 5th gen definition
@@Editzify it is not 5th gen. The SU-57 is not stealth. It is described as "minimal visibility". The Russians have not had the technology to make a true stealth jet yet.
@@Editzify missing the 5th gen engines and stealth and situational awareness. at most its a 4th++ they can call it what ever but the wests standard for 5th gen it does not tick off the qualities needed. honestly top gun maverick is some of the best propaganda for the su57 I've seen and it still got its ass kicked.
@@Editzify 2:18 "NOT stealth"
how about you guys give 3 teams a budget and they have to assemble a squad of aircraft and weapons to fight each other. they could do something like spend big and bring 1 f35 or go cheap and bring 5 mig 21s...
I know it's probably not practical (realistic) but I would like to see a Rafael vs. Su-57 fight in this same terrain setting.
Nobody's going to talk about the red AWACS dodging all of those Meteors in round 1?
AWACS - The People’s Champ today 😂
It's totally legal because I saw the meteor whilst watching the missile. Like in real life each missile has a camera following it looking around. That makes a lot of sense.
Hi cap! Love the vids!
Hi
Really cool video
Brilliant GCI Matrix!
The Lass mich allein was actually kinda cute XD
Haven't watched till the end yet. Watching RCS and missile range.
When AWAX support is available, Typhoons can be vectored to use only IRST and the near BVR capability of the ASRAAM.
The Typhoon was designed with a day 1 configuration of 2 ASRAAM and 4 conformal Meteors. Front on RCS sub 0.1m^2.
I said it before and I'll say it again, let the SU-57 carry 2 wing mounted long range missiles that it fires near beginning of the battle. That shouldn't mess up the radar cross section as the missiles will be off the pylons early on. The SU-57 can fire then go into stealth mode.
If the Su-57's 1m2 is considered stealth, then so is the F/A-18 Super Hornet Block III with conformal fuel tanks
@@raphaelgarcia6121 The US sort of has done this. The AIM-9X Block II +, aka the lightning sidewinder due to it being made for the F35, was substantially altered to reduce the missile’s RCS. This has made it so the F35 can carry wing mounted sidewinders without a substantial increase to its RCS.
But, the Russian R-37 is an absolutely massive missile compared to the 9X, so it wouldn’t realistically be possible to do the same to it.
SU-57 has more rivets than Blackpool Tower, it's not stealthy.
@@thelmaviaduct The serial model doesn't have exposed rivets, that was a prototype model.
Su57 mods needs a refresher, some newer simulations showed an average RCS of 0.03m², far bigger than Raptor's 0.0001m², but still a lot smaller than 0.12m² featured in the mod. They also need to add jamming like the Gripen mod has, as the Jet has 4 dedicated AESA arrays in the wingtips on X-band, and 4 AESA arrays on the levcons and leading edge in the L-band, integrated on its electronic warfare suite, pretty much how the Gripen also have 6 dedicated AESA arrays for electronic warfare.
Matrix combat control is excellent.
sweet video, cant wait to get back in the skies soon
Good work with the Eurofighters
Well done, Gentleman
The UK should give over about 6-12 tranche 1s but an order needs to be placed to replace each of these aircraft with new fighters.
Ukraine needs a squadron or two of gripen and if the runways can be made ready we should send f16s
The British and Germans can’t afford to give more than half a dozen jets each. They need a complete overhaul and funding to completely equip themselves .
With the current unit price of the F35B against the eurofighter, it might actually be better to order F35Bs over new typhoons for the UK.
@@gregbarnes4083 true, it would probably be better to get those as a replacement aircraft for any tranche 1s the RAF hands over
With the typhoons only 10 ish years away from being replaced by the tempest, I’d prolly say it’s better to either buy other craft or invest more in the tempest to get it operational earlier, and maybe in similar numbers to the typhoon currently in service, tho I’d like to see the uk make a fighter to supplement the tempest where otherwise the f35 or tempest would be too valuable to loose, I mean if the carriers end up holding 48 of the 138 f35’s said to be coming to the uk, that leaves very few to spare for anything else
@@splatoonistproductions5345 I personally think the typhoon can’t be replaced yet. The UK needs to focus on acquiring aircraft until they have what they need.
The most upgraded typhoons are needed to supplement f35s and the tempest as it starts being delivered to RAF squadrons.
@@aaronstreeval3910 yeah true, but still we’re gonna need something to supplement the f35 and tempest when it enters service, even the upgraded typhoons will be at the edge of their life and will need to be replaced itself, unless we match the number of f35’s with the tempest at 138, still would be good to have a new third aircraft to act as a supplement for both those planes, since there won’t be many spares of f35’s w fully loaded carriers and tempests costing a pretty penny as is
So… I’m not gonna waste time watching this implausible scenario. I suggest a video on early-tranche Typhoons vs Su-35/30 as a touch more likely to happen.
UK definitely needs wayyyy more aircraft I hope in the tempest program they get like 500+ aircraft otherwise it'll be a eurofighter situation where if 10 are shot down we will loose 10% of our aircraft
Unfortunately this sort of information is totally lost on leadership that is 100% focused on their share prices.
@@paulwalker1086 it will be pricey but it is mentioned that it’s an endeavour to keep it at a relatively cheap price, cheaper than the F-35 at least as mentioned so we can assume it to be at about 85 million if the Govt invests 30 billion we will have 350 such aircraft so it is possible
@@deeptoxd816
Does that figure account for R&D costs?
@@elijah_9392 R&D?
@@deeptoxd816
Research and Development costs. That is usually the larget cost, not procurment.
Seeing as they may be making a soft comeback, when can we expect F-117 vs SU-57? For Science!

Matrix is a damn good DCI.
Get 'em April!
Gett 'em Simba lol. In mid-watch.
Send me In coach I’ll come at them like a ninja spider monkey.
When in day 1 configuration, the Typhoon burns less fuel than the F-35. The Typhoon is generating less heat than the F-35.
In future, the ECRS Mk II AESA radar will enable the Typhoon with a significant EW and ECM capability.
Oh a totally side note someone needs to make the Russian helicopter Awacs since the A-50s aren't going to show up... other than that another most excellent showing.
Round one FIGHT!
Can they even really field a so called Felon? Best to assume they can but... You guys did great in the Delta shaped Eurofighter.
I agree with your assessment that the Typhoon is preferable, with the caveat that there ain't no way , ain't _nooooooo_ way, that Euro fighter is even slightly LO with all those missiles hanging off it. Maybe as the missiles are fired, it might gain some LO, but just the rails hanging are gonna bust any LO it has.
If you can jettison rails, then you might be talking.
A lot of it boils down to the size of the Eurofighter vs the Russian jets. The Eurofighter is pretty compact 16m long with 11m wingspan and a wing area of 51m square. The SU-57 is 20m long, 14.1m wingspan and a wing area of 79m square (50% greater). The SU-57 is also an average of 10 tons heavier across the loading types, about 80% more.
Typhoon engines sound like Alien spacecraft!
NO mention is made of the very capable DASS, defensive aids sub-system of the Typhoon, it has a myriad of ways to defend itself. Plus if using the RAF AESA radar which is being trialled now, it has an electronic attack capability, so this model is not realistic.
Simulating advanced defensive EW and it’s associated countermeasures is essentially impossible. Even the most basic aspects of how they work are classified and completely unknown to the public.
Radar based jamming should be somewhat possible to simulate but it would be not possible for this creator to implement since he can’t just add a whole new feature to the game.
@@jonathanpfeffer3716 Towed radar decoy and modelling flares to me multi-spectral wouldnt be hard (ish)
5:57 the information would be given but it a poor way, F-10 is larger and can display more information at a time and is presented in a better way and is easier to use, if you looks at the SA page in the hornet it only goes out 160 miles and you can only get info on 1 plane at a time, F-10 also does not rotate with the plane making reading and calculating headings easier and faster
The way it would go is Brits decide to donate 5 Eurofiters, then French donate 3 Rafales, then US donates 10 F-16, then Swedes donate 2 Gripens then Ukrainian airforce logistics officers will all die by suicide.
I wonder how the next engine or updates for the su-57 will change its abilities
You have a long wait ahead.
caps been loving the split S recently
I would love to that fight with out the AEW planes.
What keeps happening is that the battles inevitably turn into close range dogfights where stealth is useless.
With the AESA radar scanning plu minus 110 degrees, Typhoons can engage fully notched throughout.
Sure but they don't have those do they. They have Captor.
Saw something in this vid that makes me ask a question... Okay, notching by turning to a course 90 degrees from the missile messes with its radar lock and often causes it to lose target lock, correct? Does this work if the target plane goes 90 degrees UP or DOWN as well?
Yes. I like to do that for my wild weasel technique against sams.
Did those Typhoons have a 4G restriction? That seems to be quite the kneecapping.
No I pulled 7 g’s in it but the flight model was recently updated and it looks like there is still some smoothing out that needs to be done.
They are nerfing nato models for obvious reasons. It might be worth it to check the changelogs over time.
Dcs has become a political tool a bit
Hey guys. What happened to RC? Haven’t seen him in a vid in forever.
we should give these squadrons to Sweden so the can send the more appropriate Saab JAS 39 Gripen considering what the gripen was designed for.
Yes, please, send eurofighters, I am putting the pop corn in the oven already. Send submarines too, and Boris with an oversized helmet and vest.
Those ramjets are so good
Is the RCS in DCS modeled accurately* from all aspects or is it just a single number?
* by accurately I mean as close as possible, best estimate, .etc.
Single number. Marginally adjusted for aspect. That's all.
As much as anything, I think it shows how essential AWACS are.
Is the need to lock with the aircraft’s own radar simply a DCS limitation? Surely in real life you could fire a missile on datalink without using your own radar?
I think that's called 'pitbul' mode
3:07 4+/4.5 gen fighter ;)
Would be great to lock on datalink in the eurofighter
From the notch, Typhoons can re-engage Meteors constantly, increasing kill rate and needing less missiles to be carried.
Do a f35b vs su57? I would love to see the outcome.
Stealth vs Low obs? That's a one-way fight all day.
@@grimreapers wiki says they're both stealth
"But they can learn it with DCS!" is the usual heard comment, when askin "who you think would fly em?"
Ofc it is only "type training" but still huge leap to go full on warfare with couple of months(?) flying...
yes
Is that really a realistic scenario? I have my doubts that Russia has enough SU-57 to send to the Ukraine. It is likely that they would meet something more abundant like SU-30 and MIG-29.
Russia most likely has 10-12 Su-57’s in active service, so I don’t believe they would bring them in BVR engagements with R-77M’s against a Euorfighter, it would simply be too risky, and Russia knows that. They would most likely use them with the R-37M and pop off extremely long range shots at Ukrainian aircraft, which they have been doing for a few months now. I do believe the Su-57 has had a few confirmed kills with the R-37M, which I find believable, since all you need to do is lob off enough of them until you get a kill.
And S400
‘Is that really a realistic scenario? I have my doubts…’ Snap! I do not feel Ukraine, particularly, needs aircraft for Air to Air combat. ruzzian aircraft will, hopefully, be neutralised by providing Ukraine with adequate, advanced air defence systems. I would hope, if aircraft are provided, they will be more suitable for Air to Ground ops; in support of Ukraines armour and infantry.
@@rebelliousfew the mig 31 is the one getting air to air kills not the su57
@@rajaydon1893 Yep! But this needs AWACS and what we have learned so far not much of them are left. Even the one that the partisans have destroyed was in bad shape from the looks of it. So, one might ask very cynically if that is Russias way to get rid of old stock, instead of selling it cheap to third world countries and restock with SU-57 and alike.
I think you need to use a more realistic plane than the SU-57, the Russians don't really have any. What they'll likely do is use older air frames and fire long range from within Russia, they can then hide behind their S-400 SAMs. I think that is the most likely scenario as they're avoiding Ukraine airspace as it is, so there's no way they'll rush in once there are 4th Gen fighters in the sky.
That's the Eurofighter cockpit?. F35 dude.

also with limited missiles, a swarm of lesser capable fighters could over whelm an out of ammo fighter.
at the end of the day, experiance will play a huge roll in results, and ukraine pilots will come up short.
In real life I served with the British on many missions they are just at capable and proud as us. You could send one plane from either of us and it would take down all the Russian plane in Ukraine. Especially since they can't even make su 57 and have already crashed 2 of the 7 they have. They also have not passed operational testing for service and they do not have access to our parts to fix them anymore.

The SU-57 seems a little over modeled. Sukhoi’s own patent claims Su-57 having a design RCS between 0.1 and 1 m2. That is a RCS 1000x greater than a F35. It’s not that stealthy.
Can we have Su-30/Rafale vs J-11/J-20 Himalayas goes hot
You talking about Falklands, how about a war game of UK's F-35s against Argentina's mighty A-4s?
oof that sounds a bit un-balanced fight...
Argentina is currently getting close connections with the People’s Republic of China. They might have J-10C in the future. Perhaps even J-20 or Chinese copies of Su-57. This could potentially pose a problem for the Falklands in 10-20 years.
UK primary defense fighter for global territories is Typhoon. A fleet with some F-35B could arrive some time later.
Do they have Fokker triplanes in DCS? Maybe should try those
Next do a video with the mirage that France is talking about sending as confirmed by some French official today. But maybe vs a more realistic model the Russians would use. Doubt they use too many 57’s around Ukraine. Not worth losing the low numbers they have.
If the UK gives the euro fighter I think they should give the aim-120 instead of the meteor because in Ukraine you can’t go high up and you need to be high up to shoot the meteor
Aim 120 isn’t great down low either unfortunately
So glad I found this channel. My 11 son and I watch this everyday now. By the way, not a geopolitical channel, don't let that change on Rumble, Rumble can be a blackwhole.
Yeah isn't that place mostly super far right?
@Kevin Listen, first let me say Grim Reapers deserve the ability to make money for their content. They put out a good product, and while it might be niche, it's good. If RUclips doesn't allow them to make as much, moving sounds like the only option. Now, to address your question, yes, Rumble appears to be an extremely far-right platform. I looked at it once I saw the video about Reapers moving. Cap sounds like he has the ability to keep his head out of the black hole of Rumbles conspiracies.
@@jacobwatson3781 I agree but think that goal would be best served by more active promotion of their pateeon. I guess cap would know his options better than I would though.
@Kevin Well, to be fair, 50 min videos are a hard sell. But they boys are making fun videos and trying to be objective at the same time. Anything that lets me spend time with my son is worth it.
Hey cap, could you send me the link to the typhoon?
I've only got the GR version now but you can get the public one from the Lechuzas Negras Discord channel.
Damm Simba
Yeah screw that guy. Simba is a pre-Madonna and a telephone tough guy. If I ever saw him in real life I’d punch him in the wanker. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Got uk no iris-t for It's EF?
We use ASRAAM.
When the Russians themselves call the Sukhois "sue-#" and Mikoyan-Gurevich planes "migs" why do you guys still insist on calling them "ess you-#"?
I actually noticed/have the opinion that it's mostly Bri'ish "people" who are unable to change their way in this regard, Justin Bronk also continually pronounces it "Ess You"-57 whilst still saying "Mig". Americans, who they always scoff at, have adopted the sue pronunciation as it should be
Dear Cap,
The amount of fighter aircraft you mention that the UK can field is frighteningly small.
Keep in mind that primarily, the UK is focused on home defense and defense of territories, which mostly have main threats from countries with even less air power. Anyone trying to attack the UK itself also has to answer to the combined NATO forces, so the UK really just has to maintain its obligations and have enough for home defense.
I think the only reason we would send our jets at all is to encourage other nations with say F-16s etc to send them in more meaningful numbers.
@@Spider2point0 You are correct of course. Being on this side of the Pond, I sometimes forget the NATO component...
Please bear in mind only Germany fields more Eurofighters than the UK. Also after US the UK will be fielding the most F-35's. After the US the UK has the most capable carriers. Despite what people think about the state of the UK armed forces please bear in mind the UK is the only military in the past 70 years to win a sea and air war. As the Ukraine war is showing numbers are not everything. Quality beats quantity and level of training plays the biggest factor. Just look at the Russian armed forces and how pitiful they are doing. 1000s of jets and barely 20 miles inside Ukraine 1 year later.
