This video made me realize seeing eight enemy F-22s would be horrifying... and we have almost 200. I've never played DCS, but this is my favorite channel on RUclips.
As usual victim of US fascism with zero air defense? Sure. As an actual army? That's just targets and reality doesn't work like that ridiculous simulator. Of course aggression like that one for example means 3.WW, so you have a nuclear holocaust at your hand, so, yeah, still fucked up.
@@richardhockey8442when have the f22 done that the only acomplishment the f22 has ever achieved is the downing of a Chinese weather ballon that wasn't moving and yet they missed the first shot .so how can you day they could do what you are saying do not believe all the bs you are fed by those @55holes who claim the f22 can do that .

One thing that I feel DCS struggles with when it comes to stealth mods, is that just because a radar can see you, doesn't mean it can track you. If a radar can pickup the F-22 at 20 nautical miles; it still very likely has no ability to track it.
The radar can likely pick up a raptor way earlier than the the 40 miles it just can’t maintain that track until 40 miles. The F35 raider can apparently detect a bee at over 100 miles, I bet it can’t hit with a missile from that far away.
And just because it can't see you it doesn't mean it doesn't know you're there. F-22 and F-35 are too small to effectively disrupt all radar waves so they can be detected even from the front. But it's no better than the PIR sensor that turns on the lights outside at telling _where_ they are, just that they are _somewhere_
An F-22 can be seen by an airborne radar at about 20 nautical miles. An S-400 radar can see a F-22 at about 20 to 30 nautical miles, but tracking it and guiding a missile on to it is a different story. Because the RCS is so small it’s very hard for airborne radar and S-400 radar to track it and guide a missile on to it.
Same with how CAP has always said the SA-5 could shoot you from 160nm but in dcs as well as irl it’s tracking radar only has so much range. I remember there was a mission CAP was in where there was an SA-5 site and tomcats were supposed to launch TALDS at them and he kept warning them that it can shoot them around 160nm and when they didn’t he kept saying it should happen soon but it only happened at about 80nm because that is as far as the tracking radar can track a target. The missile can kinematically (under perfect conditions) go 160nm but it cannot lock on to a target that far away,
Watching GR reminds me of watching cartoons after school and where I live they drop early morning on the weekend, so it is like watching Saturday morning cartoons. Idk if they still do Saturday morning cartoons? any 80s 90s kids will remember. Just good fun to get my mind off what life and the world.
Watched today a huge GR mission from last year, it was awesome, fascinating, educational and very funny. Please do more > 1 hour epic missions if you can.
Vid was great fun... at the end I was wondering if in a future type of grand exit attempting to loft bomb your airframes back at a target and the closest one wins a biscuit, a hearty handshake, and one drink knocked off his pub tab.
@@unknownuser069 "B-21 is already rated for AIM-120D and AIM-260, and all the proposed LREW" If that's the case, then I really want to see that simulated. Imagine all the doors that opens up, tactically.
I was 392x0, USAF. I was lucky to observe 3 B52H's being refueled over the Cascades in Washington, USA. Laying down next to the boom operator. One a few great memories from my time. Not a hero, but I have been a Patreon supporter for quite a while, I just upped it to $20, again, not a hero. I would encourage folks to support the GR (sexy boi's) and Cap with Patreon. If you laugh, if you enjoy that lovely accent (properly chuffed) and the great DCS content, please do your part. But don't forget, Cap is also a hell of a drummer.
F-22 Raptor and F-15EX Eagle II VS 18 North Korean MIG-29's! F-22 out front engage bandits first from maximum range while F-15EX burns forward from around 80 miles behind joining the fight with a wall of AIM-120D's!🙏
DUUUUUUUUUUUDE! I randomly came across a video talking about a simulation dog-fight between the US and China and of course had to take a look given the current geopolitical climate. Never even knew I would be into somthing like this, but here I am watching video after video. Great editing and commentary, and even better, talented sim pilots. Keep them coming! I have already subscribed on Rumble and will continue to support you there.
Waiting to watch this on rumble, I hope it gets uploaded soon! I see you're growing on there fast hopefully it'll be successful for you so you can keep making this awesome content :)
Have you experimented with having a dedicated GCI? You wouldn't have to keep looking at the SA screen and it might also give you an advantage when you do the BVR fights. I know it means someone doesn't fly, but it might be a way for those without the rigs to DCS like you involved?
Super entertaining, and a bit of a nail biter at moments, especially after the outcome of the last attempt at this!! Well fought Grim Reapers!! I just signed up for Rumble and subscribed over there. In addition, you now have a new Patreon supporter, and I even joined the Discord server!! Between work and being a dad to two little ones under five years, there isn't much free time. But what time I do have to myself, I like to spend watching beautiful humans in sexy machines do lots of things and stuff!! I can't say enough, thank you for all the work that goes into these missions, you guys and gals are all freaking rockstars to me!!
A pre-combat comment. Trick the IR sensors by having a B2(s) loft as many long-range stealth missiles as possible all along the front line. These will be stripped of a warhead and complex (£/€/$) electronics. Just enough wiring, chewing gum, and duct tape to make them light up their engines at different times, altitudes, and locations. Think of them as massive IR chaff generators to saturate the Russian fighters. Just thinking, "That is all".
Ha this totally reminds me of the F19 Stealth Fighter game from Microprose 1988, looking for the Pulse and Doppler signals then threading the needle... in the fictional F19 and the Microprose F117A with 4 weapon bays, and internal gun... meh was like the bomb to play.
Great video, and of course, we all know DCS is a MilSim, not a game... I would say very well done to all, well executed, mostly, but things usually happen that cannot be forseen. Good coordination and cooperation, plus people listening. We like these types of video's Cap, we likes them a lot.
Just started this video, so I don't know what happens yet: But one of you should totally be the Sacrificial lamb and get in deep, turn on radar and race out having everyone chase you while the rest keep going.
@ 13:10 -----> Cap sez refueling a raptor is the most difficult thing in the world to do..... ......lemme tell ya sumpin' ...... changing an ALTERNATOR on a 2011 Nissan Murano IS WORSE !!!!
I finally got a pc and got dcs and the viper. I wish I was good at making missions and what not but it’s all still new to me and very confusing haha thanks for the video keep it up!
Can you guys do a mission like disrupting enemy aerial refueling operation? Like sneak up on their tankers and destroy them, denying them forward operating capability? It will be similar to this mission but for added fun you can add multiple tankers and divide up your teams as one team engaging one tanker and the other engaging the other. Of course you will have fighters being refueled as threats but for added fun you can give tankers fighter escort or SAM cover. You can go both ways first as offensive teams destroying multiple tankers and then defensive teams protecting your tanker fleet.
Are you really sure if mr putton went down in a fireball??? that all the local ships would launch OOOoooorrrrr??? They would be saved for the next guy/gal/it/thing/deer/bottle cap that was eyeballing the seat??? 😁😉😁
A lot. Power required to push the plane through the air is roughly proportional to velocity cubed. So, compared to 1.2, at 0.9 it would generate 27/64 the heat, and at 0.8, it would generate 8/27 the heat. That assumes coefficient of drag remains constant at all speeds, which is basically true, but can be somewhat wrong when comparing laminar flow to turbulent flow, attached flow to detached flow, and some transonic speeds that have a drag penalty. Plus, there are some effects of higher speeds not needing as draggy an angle of attack. But it's a good rule of thumb coming directly from how much kinetic energy has to be imparted to the air, basically proportional to (half the) mass times velocity squared. And the mass of air you go through per second, is proportional to velocity, making power be cubed, while drag force is only squared.
It is hilarious you mentioned the cardboard box thing. There was a test with an AI sentinel robot where they told the US Marines to try to get past them. They found several ways to fool them. By far, the best was 2 of them got in a large box and shuffled right past one of them. You could hear them laughing their a$$es off inside the box the whole time! "Adapt & Overcome!!! 🤣😂🤣😂
Two things, that aren´t simulated in game but would be worth considering: #1: Wouldn´t the sonic booms be hearable on the ground? #2: Your IR signature could be masked by staying in the clouds?
#1, absolutely. I don't know about Russia, but in the US, we have networks of microphones able to triangulate the sources of shock waves. The ones you'll find information about online, are for locating and time stamping where gunshots were fired in cities with a lot of gun crimes. But I've seen some sensors in places which seem more related to national defense than gun crimes. It is extremely cheap and highly effective, to just have a network of listening stations, especially with GPS providing extremely accurate time stamping for a few dollars at each location, making triangulation trivially easy without even needing fast ping times on the network to synchronize the timekeeping. And if you think the US would not tap into everyone's doorbell camera/mic to track sonic booms, you'd probably be extremely wrong about that. China probably does it also, and I don't mean just in China. Likewise, Google, Siri, and Alexa have extremely large networks of microphones deployed, always listening, allegedly only awaiting your requests. Yes, there are private companies which can track every sonic boom if they wanted to. And why would they not want to? Information is power. #2, sure, and flying in rain would be even better. But slowing down to reduce engine power output would help, without needing to be in clouds. I'll add my own point that aircraft noise is really easy to detect and attribute to a cause. In my bedroom far from a major airport, I can tell you what barely discernable sound is a 737 climbing through 29,000 feet from Boston, versus the occasional Hawaiian Airlines flight BOS-HNL doing the same, versus what is a FedEx 767 descending through 12,000 feet to Manchester, versus a single C130, a pair of C130s, or 2 pairs of C130s, versus a pair of F-35s just cruising by, versus a pair of F-35s climbing, versus a Cirrus, versus a Bonanza, versus a PC-12. If you truly want any level of stealth flying over a populated area, much less over troops, you MUST fly subsonic.

Robin Leach just does an amazing job narrating these videos! 👏🏼
I love these guys, when the big bad youtubeman rears his head with the threat of demonization, they just show their neck more
RUclips wanna fight me, they can fight these tears! 🥲😭😭😭😭
Vid was great fun... at the end I was wondering if in a future type of grand exit attempting to loft bomb your airframes back at a target and the closest one wins a biscuit, a hearty handshake, and one drink knocked off his pub tab.
I absolutely love these crazy Scenarios.
Damp’s Dual Sticks - Lady’s Champion 😂
Could B21 be used as a stealthy missile truck with F22/35 to defeat superior numbers of enemy jets?
Probably but we've only got her set as a Bomber.
@@unknownuser069
"B-21 is already rated for AIM-120D and AIM-260, and all the proposed LREW"
If that's the case, then I really want to see that simulated. Imagine all the doors that opens up, tactically.
B21 probably doesn't have a radar.
@@unknownuser069 What modern combat aircraft wouldn't have radar!?
@Alexander Ibrahim you had a very fun career. Dealing with 100% fighters!
You forgot to tabulate the cost of the canopy and damage to internals and cost of training a replacement pilot for the permanently grounded one.
I've noticed a lot more swearing in the more recent videos
And I love it
F-22 Raptor and F-15EX Eagle II VS 18 North Korean MIG-29's! F-22 out front engage bandits first from maximum range while F-15EX burns forward from around 80 miles behind joining the fight with a wall of AIM-120D's!🙏
Btw I kno you said you'd try this just really hope you remember and still plan on it🙏
Ideally the thing to do would be to make it look like Russian SAM sites shot down their own plane.
When modeling the range of the S400, or any other system for that matter, are those yellow areas modeled as cylinders or as semi-spheres?
annoyingly 2d circles :(
Hopefully the makers of the HighDigitSams mod will be able to tweak the S400 at some point to make it more realistic.
Simba's plane reached angels 66 after ejection! Then descended rather rapidly
Another fun one to watch. Shows the effectiveness of 5th gen.
I hope the pentagon is watching and taking notes.
"Here I am, stuck in the middle with you..."
Thanks Charles! It will be a long term project. probably a couple of years.
Raptor is amazing. I wish the YF-23 had seen the light of day as well though, that's one awesome aircraft too.
Have you experimented with having a dedicated GCI? You wouldn't have to keep looking at the SA screen and it might also give you an advantage when you do the BVR fights. I know it means someone doesn't fly, but it might be a way for those without the rigs to DCS like you involved?
WE have yes but we fly at unsociable hours so hard to get people to turn up just for GCI duties.
Thanks Seth!
Nice.

Thank you, thank you. _"I am here all week."_ (An American adage).
Much respect for all you Pilots and Aviators
Ha this totally reminds me of the F19 Stealth Fighter game from Microprose 1988, looking for the Pulse and Doppler signals then threading the needle... in the fictional F19 and the Microprose F117A with 4 weapon bays, and internal gun... meh was like the bomb to play.
The actual dialog is hilarious
♫ ♬ SAMs to the left, SAMs to the right, and you're the only stealth in town ♫ ♬
I've watched a lot of your videos. Nice work.
You guys are on Rumble? Heck yeah about time.
the short answer: yes. the long answer: YEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS
Great video, and of course, we all know DCS is a MilSim, not a game... I would say very well done to all, well executed, mostly, but things usually happen that cannot be forseen. Good coordination and cooperation, plus people listening. We like these types of video's Cap, we likes them a lot.
I had a good time watching this!
I'd probably sh*t myself if i heard 8 sonic booms in less than 5 seconds
Agreed
Couple of those sexy formation flyby's would have made for a good print, Cap 👍
Just started this video, so I don't know what happens yet: But one of you should totally be the Sacrificial lamb and get in deep, turn on radar and race out having everyone chase you while the rest keep going.
One minute in the video: "Please don't miss!"
This was very cool and the tanker sequence was beautiful. Great job you sexy boys!
Doesn’t matter if you get back Cap. You’d be returning to a radioactive wasteland. Thank God this is just a fun sim.
I think if Putin is dead, nobody be stupid enough to kill themselves
Yeah, this would invoke a nuclear war. Brandon and his son would be lamely painfully removed.
I would greatly enjoy more low altitude engagements
29:24 - Did Cap run over his dog or something?
lols
Nice boyz... glad to see a cool new mission
All signed up and ready to go on Rumble
thx
I gotta be honest, Cap. I miss watching the mission briefings sabotaged by random pictures of batman and robin hahaha Cracked me up everytime!
Surely it was Bare Wrestling he was going to see? 🤔
oof
Excellent 😁😁😁😁👏👏👏👏👏 video
Maybe my favorite video to date and I’ve been following for almost 5 years. I’m going to recreate it myself. Constantly evolving
Have fun!
Love it, air chess, please do more
Pew pew Pewtin. Bear wrestling and deer drowning weekend!
Don't use Rumble a lot but I made sure to follow :)
thx
Kinda reminds me of a mission in an Ace Combat game where you had to avoid the radar bubbles.

@ 13:10 -----> Cap sez refueling a raptor is the most difficult thing in the world to do.....

I finally got a pc and got dcs and the viper. I wish I was good at making missions and what not but it’s all still new to me and very confusing haha thanks for the video keep it up!
I just installed and followed on Rumble
thx
I wonder how much the rear IR signature is reduced by going 0.9 Mach vs 1.2 Mach?
What a great way to end a shittastic day! Cheers 🇨🇦 Vet
Thanks guys x
Pure fried gold.

If Putin went down the whole of Russia wouldn't launch 150 fighters. They would celebrate.
someone earned the new callsign 'Regicide' (you and Richard Sharpe)
After Putin went down in my head I heard coconuts clapping an “ run away, run away” but a lot of that is caps accent
Gosh wish I could download these missions I suck so bad at creating them
Two things, that aren´t simulated in game but would be worth considering:
#1: Wouldn´t the sonic booms be hearable on the ground?
#2: Your IR signature could be masked by staying in the clouds?
Both great points!
not just that but when burning they'd be visible AF on IRST
You do realize that Putin jet is guarded by few couples of felons
Oh cool. They'd have front row seats to their jet suddenly exploding.
does the person who sounds exactly like Martin Starr know he sounds exactly like Martin Starr?
The cockpit on the raptor mod kind of has an Arma 3 look to it.
Love the video and watched some of your others.. as a noob to flight Sims. Where would you suggest where I start...

all these range rings reminds me of a couple of Ace Combat missions
How did you place a new airfield on the map?
We actually started in Georgia and flew a fake route North West.
